I just purchased an old ranch style 1 level home at the end of December of 2018. Previous owners were "handyman" and they handyman'd their way into multiple code violations. In addition to fixing their mistakes and installing hard wired co/smoke detectors (which house was completely missing!), I wanted to upgrade main service to 200 amp as I have an electric car that I charge often in the garage. Jake and the crew did a wonderful job, starting early and finishing right on schedule. They even gave me advice on how to install a charging station (which I wanted to do myself to save some cash) instead of claiming that they had to do it for code reasons or any such nonsense. Bonnie took care of permitting and got it through the Boulder bureaucracy so that everything was on up and up. When the inspector came through (who used to be an electrician), they regarded that the job was done really well (and even commented on the EVSE installation :)). When I was gathering quotes for this job Juniper Mountain Electric was in the same range as everyone else, but I am glad I chose them as they did an admirable job which I am super happy with. read more

Called Juniper Mountain for a quote to replace a residential electric panel and to add some can lights. Very timely response from Bonnie and very friendly. Jake came out and gave a quote, beating out the other competitors by $300 and $500 but requires payment by check. Jake and his crew (Justin and Jake) replaced the panel and added the can lighting in one day, approximately 12 hours. The can lights turned out beautiful and the panel works great and finally up to code/not a fire hazard. The crew were very professional and friendly. What impressed me the most was the attention to cleanliness and detail. The crew always had on booties whenever they were in the house, thoroughly cleaned the areas they worked on after completion, and took the time to label the panel after completion by going to each room and checking the breakers (this house had a few add-ons over the years with wire runs tapped into multiple rooms in the house and the previous panel was not labeled correctly). I have used JME in the past and was so impressed by their level of customer service, skill, and pricing, that I had them back to install a chandelier 20' up in our house entry. In addition, they also installed a "lift-kit" in the attic so that in the future we could easily lower the Entry chandelier to clean it and change bulbs. Justin, the electrician, did an excellent job. And the owner of JME, Jake, came by to check on progress. Even though there was a lot to do, Justin always took the time to answer any questions I had. The Chandelier looks great, and the lift-kit will ensure we can keep the chandelier clean and beautiful looking. Thanks to Jake, Justin, and the whole crew at JME. I was visiting my daughter in the Thornton area in September. She was away for a couple of days when I arrived at her home. Just before she left, the garage door stopped working. She asked me to try having it repaired before she came home the next day. I read reviews of electricians in the area and called a couple of them. Jake of Juniper Mountain Electric was able to come over and fix my electrical problem a couple of hours after contacting the company. I was very impressed that he arrived when he said he would, discovered the problem area and corrected it and repaired another outlet that needed it. New to the area, we asked neighbors to recommend a dependable electrician. We were told Juniper Mountain Electric. From the initial phone call to the day the crew came out to install two ceiling fans, two light switches and a back porch light, JME was nothing but friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. They arrived on time, wore shoe covers, laid sheets under the areas they were going to be working, and cleaned up afterward with vacuums. They explained how all the new items worked and were extremely nice to have around. There are good business and then there are great business Juniper makes the great business look bad. Bonnie and Jake are amazing and so is their crew. We have used them twice now in the past two years, and both times have been amazed at the work they do. Jake is hilarious and fun to talk to. Bonnie who answers the phone and schedules appointments handles everything so professionally and is incredibly polite. Jake was the tech who worked in our home. Very polite and welcoming. Removed his shoes EVERY time he came in and out, loved on our dog, and still got everything done in a timely manner. He swept up any "mess" he made and was engaging during his visit.
