When the workers arrived, they were very professional and knowledgeable. They addressed all my questions (Are any of my items toxic or too heavy, or not acceptable at the junkyard? (I was told they handle most things, and they gave great advice. In the end, we made arrangements to have everything hauled away the same day-the same day folks! I'd give six stars if I could. JunkGuys also charges very reasonably. I'd use again, but not too soon. LOL read more

We've used JunkGuys several times in the past for more general junk removal and they've always been great. This time, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND!! Our house came with a 7ft tall hedge and a pond feature that never worked. The pond had granite boulders circling it with the tallest being 5ft. These boulders were cemented into the ground. We decided to remove this pond and a lot of contractors said no. Junk guys were able to do it in three days!! The boulder removable was NOT EASY. A lot of jackhammering to get the strong granite into moveable pieces. Junk guys worked tirelessly for THREE DAYS on the project and came in at the price quoted to us. They were very communicative about when they'd arrive, take lunch, and finish which allowed me some peace of mind knowing what was going on. Just a really bad business practice if you ask me trying to get somewhere around 600 dollars for less then an hour of work is almost criminal . I wouldn't spend money with these guys there are a ton of really good junk desposal company's that won't charge an arm and a leg . Edit: a response to the owner who commented . No my name and number wouldn't be on file because we set up an appointment where you guys asked us the size of the storage and how full it was . I was quoted an estimate of about 150 which I understand is an estimate but the storage is the smallest you can get and only half full. Your people showed up and we let them know we will not accept any work until we know what we're being charged . To which we were told 650 bucks for what equals about maybe 15 boxes already boxed up . We turned down the service because that is a giant price gouge in my opinion . I used to clean out storages and found someone who did it for under 150( the original estimate) . Do not try to act like this is a normalized miscommunication or accident this was an attempt to get 650 dollars for what took one guy 30 minutes . Horrible horrible service. I booked nine days in advance. I got three confirmation emails, I called to make sure that the removal I was looking for was possible, I spoke to him on the phone, he reassured me that what I was in the right place and he could clean out my parents home. I let him know both of my parents had passed and needed help cleaning out the home before I could sell it. I got two confirmation texts. Then at 11:00pm the night before (my appointment was from 10am-12pm the next day) I got a text asking me if I could reschedule for Tuesday-Friday. I was already asleep and didn't see the text until 5am. I said no that wouldn't work and to please confirm my appointment. I had to drive two hours to get to my parents place. With no response by 11am I called and left a voicemail. I got a text at 11:51 from an unknown number telling me they would not be there. Would have been nice to know two hours ago. My roommate and I are both getting ready to leave in the next few weeks and our trash can is OVERFLOWING so a pile of extra trash has been building up in our garage. I called around a few places and found JunkGuys who gave us a general idea of what the cost might be given what I told them about the amount of trash they had. The estimate was extremely reasonable and when they arrived at our place it was actually cheaper than expected! Cheaper than the minimum quote I got from 1800GOTJUNK as well. They were able to work around my busy moving schedule and even called to let us know they could come early if I was available! (I was barely awake and they were very understanding about it) The guys made quick work of our small pile of garage trash and were in and out in less than ten minutes, and they were very nice the whole time. If I wasn't moving a few states away I would absolutely use them again! read more

Called Junk Guys Sacramento. Told them I had lots of good stuff in my deceased mother-in-law's storage. I wanted to make sure that the stuff was donated to an appropriate site. I was assured over the phone that the items they pick up are donated, and only stuff that was not worth donating went to the landfill. Was quoted $695 for a full truck load. I thought it was a bit high, but I said OK. When Caleb and his assistant showed up, there was junk in the truck already, so he offered a $20 discount. I talked him down to $650 for the load. He agreed. I was just happy that the stuff would be going to someone who could use it. There were 3 or 4 shelving units. It made sense that they would be broken up, (easily done in 5 seconds flat, just threw them on the ground). They were cheap presswood. But then Caleb informed me that if they break stuff down, the price would go up because he can get more on the truck, and it would cost more at the dump. I had no choice but to agree to the new $690 price. But the worst part. He tells me that the WHOLE LOAD would be going to the dump. I had spent hours sorting out the good stuff for donation, only to have it all go to the dump. I was angry and disappointed that the office had misrepresented the intentions of the haulers. I would have never used this service if I had known this was going to happen. I should have demanded they unload the truck, but I would not have been able to get everything back in the storage unit before closing time. I called the office to voice my concerns. I talked to Yvette, she said that she would talk to her boss about this, and I never heard back. They made their money, what do they care? I would never recommend this company to anyone. All those great items went to the landfill, many new items, in unopened boxes. Makes me sick to think about it. Thanks for nothing Junk Guys. Never use Junk Guys. If you do use a junk hauling service, ask for referrals of satisfied customers. We got taken. They care about nothing but money money money. read more

Just AMAZING!!! I needed to have a furnished 2 bedroom apartment cleaned out, and didn't have the time or the patience to do it myself. I was able to get the appointment date and time that I needed with no issues. I received a text the day before confirm my appointment window. The two young men, Josh and Mark, met me at the property, gave me a no-obligation estimate, and I accepted it. It was not an easy job, and the estimate was reasonable for the amount of work that had to be done. They started working right away. I really liked this approach as I did not have to drive to the property twice (once for estimate and then for the job like most businesses). Josh and Mark were stellar in their work. They were personable, polite, and energetic. They never complained and were eager to do a good job and make me a happy customer. I was very impressed with them and would definitely hire them again. I was hesitant to search Craigslist for another "trash removal" business. I had 3 people come out and didnt complete the job they were hired to do.
