Dropped off my recycle items to this facility today. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was hard to find as it is behind the Hobby Lobby building and not in the shopping strip mall at all. The directions my vehicle gave me made it seem like it was in front of of Hobby Lobby The process of turning in four garbage bags full of stuff plastic and cans and two boxes of glass to only a few minutes and I received 32.00 for my effort. I filled a 13 gallon garbage bag full of smashed aluminum cans with maybe less than 1/3 of them being a tin metal. They gave me only $2.00 for all of it. I asked the guy why it was so little and he said because of the other metal. But I still saw him weigh my aluminum in at 2lbs. Doesn't make sense. Last time I came here I also felt like they took advantage. I'll be looking elsewhere. read more

Nice to finally get that done! And thankful I searched my Sacramento to Loomis route for a recycling center because the Sacramento area centers are too busy and one has closed permanently. Nice people here. If you presort like I did, you'll be in and out. That's what the man working the operation told me, not just from my experience. I got lucky and caught a break - 10:00 on a Saturday (busiest day is Saturday and right about this time, too) and there was just one person ahead of me and he had his cans sorted! I was in and out in 3 minutes with a pleasant, friendly experience. Just like other reviewers share, it's behind Hobby Lobby. Turn on Sierra Gardens from Douglas. Immediately after Marco Dog Park (dog park is on your right and sunken in from the road, you'll see a small sign on a cyclone fence), turn into the driveway on your left. P.s. When "selling" back aluminum I didn't need to share my driver's license info or show it. That's nice. Just print your name and sign. Might be required to show ID for copper or other metals if they accept them. read more

NorCal Recycling was recommended by many people on our Good Neighbors Facebook page so I decided to check it out. Our garage was becoming way too cluttered with plastic, glass and my husband's never-ending stack of aluminum cans (he is in love with flavored sparkling water). This location is located behind Hobby Lobby, in the parking lot. I drove past it at first but then noticed the yellow canopy with their name on it. They apparently have another location on Church Street as well. Smoothest recycling experience I've had since moving to Placer County 5 years ago. Several parking spaces available, only a few yards from the scale. When I got there around 9:30am on a Wednesday morning, I was the only customer, though one other guy pulled into a spot right after me. The employee, Adrian, greeted me with a smile and said he would bring the bins to me. He brought three yellow bins over and helped me unload the bags into the bins. Then he pushed the bins to his scale and began his calculations on his clipboard. He asked how my morning was going and made some pleasant small talk. He told me that they had been closed three weeks at the beginning of the shelter-in-place but they had just opened again and have been quite busy. As of 4/22/20, they're open M-F from 9am-3pm and Saturdays from 9am-2pm. The whole process probably took me 5 minutes and I was paid $30 in cash. It was such a smooth, seamless experience and I couldn't believe how easy it was! I guess I'm used to my experiences with Replanet Recycling (which used to be by Walmart on Pacific) where the employees were sure to yell at a few customers during the visit. Plus I always seemed to go at the wrong times and had to wait behind at least 5 customers each time. That location has since closed so I'm glad I found NorCal Recycling so I know where to take our recyclables in the future. Adrian said that even though they get pretty busy, if you sort out your recyclables in different bags/boxes like we did (glass, plastic, aluminum), you'll be in and out quickly. Convenient location, super friendly employee, pleasant experience. Highly recommended! read more

As soon as we pulled up, Adrian brought over a bunch of yellow trash cans and helped us unload our cans and bottles. As always, he was very professional, polite, caring, and kind. My usual recycling place closed down, so we found this one. We came on a Saturday which I am sure is the busiest day & by the time we left there were a LOT of cars there. I think it is best to get there either right as they open or right before they close. We were impressed with how many containers they had. There is nothing worse than having to wait for them to empty before unloading your vehicle. The parking lot is somewhat weird here. It is very tight and people do not seem to be respectful on how they park at all. We will be back every few months when we cash in our recyclables! read more
