THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS! On Dec 26 I submitted an internet request for a quote. Joey was quick to call me back and told me he had an engine in stock with only 51k that he could ship out either today or tomorrow and I would have it by Jan 9th. So I gave him my CC and told him to ship it ASAP. When I spoke to him a few days later he told me it should be there on time or a day late. OK, I can deal with a day late. But then, the 10th comes and goes and no engine. So, I call him again and he gives me this lame story about how the engine got mis-shipped by the trucking company to Georgia (supposed to be going to Mass.), and it would take another three days (15th). On the 15th, I call him again to find out where it is and he tells me the shipping company lost it. He calls me back later that day to say they found it again and it would be here in three days (18th). I finally got the engine on the 18th. When I pulled it out of the crate to inspect it, the tag on it said 197K, not 51k like I ordered. The tag and bill of lading also said that it was shipped from Webster's Used Auto Parts in CT the day after I talked to him on the phone (16th), not a week or so prior. So, I had to wait until Monday (21st) to call him. He told me that that engine was supposed to go to someone else and that they still had MY engine on the dock in El Paso. So, he sends the guy from Webster's Used Auto Parts out to pick up the engine that same day (21st). The owner from Webster's came out himself and expressed concern that I was unhappy with it. I told him what happened and he confirmed that JUNKYARD JUNGLE had lied to me about it. He took the engine back and told me to call him if it doesn't work out. Joey told me that they were shipping out the correct engine tomorrow morning was the soonest. Then on Thursday (24th), Todd at Junkyard Jungle, tells me that they are shipping it out that day. I was irritated that I was LIED to again and told him so. He said there was nothing that he could do, but they paid an extra $85 for guaranteed delivery and that it would take 5 business days (31st) to get here. It never showed up. So, I called him and spoke with Todd again. He told me that he didn't know what happened, but he would call the shipping company to find out where it is. The next day, since I didn't get a call from him, I called him and asked if he found out what happened. He told me that he has it on the dock right now and it will go out today. ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME!! I then cancelled my order and told him to give me my money back. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS AND I HAVE NO PATIENCE FOR THAT! Back in November 2013 the differential went out on my 2002 Eclipse Spyder and thus I was forced to either rebuild the transmission at a cost of $2,100 plus removal and install or purchase a used transmission at a cost between $700-800 plus install. Guess which one I picked.... you got it, the used transmission route. I spent about 2 weeks searching the web and local junkyards attempting to find a transmission with low miles and some sort of warranty. After calling over 60 junkyards I compiled a list of 18 "junkyards" and I use this term loosely, and started eliminating junkyards based on the following criteria: transmission millage, BBB rating, Internet rating (gathered from many sites), price and delivery time. I should mention that all 18 junkyards offered some type of limited warranty, junkyards that didn't offer a warranty didn't make the list. Side Note: 90% of all "Junkyards" aren't actually junkyards, they're middle men who use a national parts database to procure parts! (and tack on an additional fee, of course) Interestingly over half of the 90% wouldn't even admit they WEREN'T a junkyard, I confirmed each business by researching state issued business licenses, the BBB, and oddly enough their competitors who all were too happy to trash talk the "other guy"!! Based on the above mentioned criteria Junkyard Jungle was selected. Transmission was labeled as, " A+ condition with only 93K miles". Side Note 2: Their use, and I mean all these "junkyards", of the grading system A-F is literally meaningless because NONE of the junkyards I called sold anything other an "A+" parts and when asked what the difference between "A+" and "B+" meant they basically couldn't answer the question. Cost $750, shipping time of 7-10 days, BBB rating D+ (sadly that's a really good rating for this industry) and a 1 year parts and labor warranty. I placed my order on November 19, 2013 and they expected delivery by 11/29/13. That's 8 days not including weekends, heck its only a 2 day drive from my location to theirs by car! So November 29th came and went so I called for a status update, Junkyard Jungle had no clue were the transmission was and why it wasn't delivered but said they would call me back with an update. On 12/2/13 I called them back for an update, according to them the transmission should arrive on 12/4/13...well that day came and went so I called them again 12/4/13 and the reason for the delay was the transmission was shipped via LTL and it sat at the carriers depot the entire Thanksgiving week (7 days in total) they now told me the delivery would be on 12/6/13. Now at this point I'm pretty pissed I've had no car for over a month and have been waiting for the stupid transmission for almost a month and guess what, you guessed right, the transmission did NOT arrive on 12/6/13!! On 12/9/13 I call them back and request the carrier name and tracking number... he went into this LONG explanation about how LTL freight works (I work at a warehouse and we send and receive via LTL all the time!) I know how it works. After listening to the dribble coming out of his mouth I said "it doesn't take 3 weeks for LTL to travel from Texas to Virginia, no F'ing way!!". So than he started blaming the terrible weather in Dallas TX for the delay and how everything was shut down... to which I replied "BS". I again asked for the LTL company name (which he gave me) and the tracking information, which he refused to give me, rather he said he will call, get a status and call me back in 20 minutes. Twenty one minutes go by and I'm just spitting nails, low and behold he calls me back and said, "The trucking company doesn't know where the transmission is". Seriously this is what he told me!! He continued, (not exact quote) "we can get you another transmission and have it delivered to you in two days or we can give you a refund". Can you say REFUND!!!! In an effort to end this review as quickly as possible..... I ended up purchasing a used transmission from a more local junkyard in Southern Maryland (not from from where I live) for $50 more and only a 1 month warranty. Junkyard Jungle NEVER shipped the transmission but had no problem charging my credit card! They did however refund my credit card that very day 12/9/13 and my credit card posted the refund on 12/11/13. Oh and no doubt that 1 year parts and labor warranty would have been impossible to collect on if needed. Bottom line, stay away from Junkyard Jungle!!! Their super nice, friendly, and helpful on the phone but it's all just a lie!! read more

Within a week I had my new engine (ok, used, - but what's the difference when it's clean, it works and it has a 12 month warranty??). My dad and brother ordered a transmission from these guys 2-3 months ago. We have been trying to contact them with our final payment for OVER a MONTH! These guys are SOOOOO unprofessional. We have yet to have any returned calls or emails regarding our order. We have already given them $900. I don't see ANY GOOD reviews in the past 5 months so I'm assuming they have lost their "awesome company" title. This is pretty ridiculous and should be resolved ASAP. A company taking this much money from people should be picking up the phone after one ring, and responding to emails within the day. This place is a scam. If you look at all the "reviews" posted on places like Google, you'll notice that they read like TV advertisement testimonials. If you look at these "customer's" profiles you'll see that they post reviews from multiple places throughout the U.S. and even Europe. How interesting that these people have "homes" in 3 different states. Try reading these "reviews" out loud, and see how far you get before you notice that NOBODY outside of TV commercials talks that way. You see their address listed as "615 E Houston St"? It's listed as such on their website too, and if you look at the street view you'll see there is a U.S. Court House and Post Office there. Heck, I even went down to 615 E Houston St. personally to see if there indeed was a "salvage yard" right in front of the Alamo. Lo and behold, there was a U.S. Court & Post Office at 615 E Houston St. I even went around the block to see if Google was off, but nope! Just more U.S. Post Office and tourists, because the Alamo is right in front of the building 200 ft away. So I can't visit this business in person (because they don't exist), maybe I could call them? Nope! When I called a bit after 9 AM (their listed opening time) I get a, "All lines are busy serving other customers, please leave a message". That's interesting how they are apparently are swamped with customer calls right as they open! What if I call later? I tried calling 4 different times throughout the day and still "All lines are busy". So I leave a voicemail, and to this day, 7 months later, never received a call. I then had a theory: would their phones just ring endlessly on a day when they are closed? So I called after closing time and on the weekend... "All lines are busy"! Wow! So there is no difference in the calling response no matter the time of day! What about email? I tried that too. I sent an email inquiring about an engine that I was interested in. I specifically stated the year, model, trim, and engine code that I was looking for. Then, a little over a week later, I finally get a response. The response basically was, "What year and trim is your car?" UGHH. Reminds me of scam phone calls that refuse to reveal their address or business name. read more

I blew another head gasket on my 94 4Runner and after 250,000 miles on the engine I decided to replace it instead of rebuilding it again. Looked all over and sent a quote request into Junk Yard Jungle. They responded quickly and said they had an A+ motor that only had 110,000 miles on a 94 motor. They said they guaranteed the item and if you get it and it's not what they claimed, they would take it back, no questions asked. Well.... buyer beware.... this company sent me a motor that had a cracked timing chain cover and other obvious problems. NOT an A+, not ever a D- motor. We called them up asking what the deal was and they said they never claimed it to be an A+ motor and that we should go ahead and put it in my car and see if it works. Excuse me?? It costs to put motors in cars. We tried to ship it back and they said there was no warranty. Their pseudo-warranty is so absurd as to be almost humorous, if not for the fact that it does nothing to protect the consumer against their shady business practices. I have never read a warranty/contract that was so completely slanted as to prevent any measure of protection for the buyer. It even appears, after a careful review of the warranty, that perhaps this so-called business profits by shipping faulty merchandise, and charging the customers restocking fees, and that they have no desire to provide usable products. But be careful, their warranty states that if a person merely pulls up their website and reads their warranty, he or she tacitly accepts its conditions! Beware; I ordered a engine & transmission in March which was supposed to be in stock and delivered in 5 business days from Joey. After 3 weeks and 2 excuses from Joey about how Old Dominion and then Saia trucking had lost them I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. After 30 days and several calls I received an email from Todd Parker saying it was "Squares" fault (card transaction company) that my refund had not been received. I'm still waiting on that refund of $2800 as of 7-17-13. It looks as if I'm going to have to get a lawyer after them to get my money. read more

On February 17, 2015 we purchased a engine from Junkyard Jungle. We were told 7 - 10 business days it would be delivered. The first time I called and they said it had been delayed because of bad weather. Then they couldn't find it. Then, my husband called and they told him it had been delivered, which it had not been. This went on for over 2 months. When you call, you get voicemail, which they do not return the calls. E-mails go unanswered. When I finally got a hold of them the end of April, I told the Sales Manager that I wanted a refund. He told me the engine could be delivered the next day, I told him no, I wanted my money back, it had been going on for to long. He agreed to give me our money back. I waited 2 weeks and called again. He informed me that my money had been returned, May 4. It had not. That was May 19. He called while I was on hold to find out what happened. He said that there was a mix up basically and my money would be in my bank within 2 days. I still have not received my money back. Called and left voicemail with no reply and sent them an email with no reply from them. I have filed with the BBB and FTC. My next step is an attorney. I will not just let them keep $1,100 and walk away. If you are thinking of buying from this company BEWARE!!! read more

This is a terrible company that doesn't pay their bills. We tried to help them out with their shipping and after providing freight service for many of their shipments they totally stiffed us. They won't even return out calls and will not pay the invoices for shipping costs that they incurred. The reason they can offer free shipping on some of their sales is because they don't pay the companies they hire to do the shipping. Junkyard Jungle is my worst nightmare. They do not even rate one star but I had to give them one to give them this review. Everything they have said is a lie. I first spoke with them on Thursday, May 14 to get a transmission for my car. I called them up on Friday, May 15 in the morning to buy the transmission for $1,100 with a promise that it would take 5 to 7 business days but probably show up on Friday, May 22 but no later than Tuesday, May 26. I called since it did not show up on May 22 and did not get anyone so I left an email. The next promise was that it did not ship until Thursday, May 21 and should be there in 5 days (May 27) but maybe 7 days (May 29). I spoke with a person on the phone and I was promised it would be there on June 2 (14 business days or 18 days after I ordered it. It did not show up on June 2 - I called with no return call and then sent an email. This time I was told it would show up on Friday, June 5 and they would pay me the shipping cost of $128 to make it okay. I said it had been so long my mechanic was going to be on vacation until today June 8 so if they promised it would be there in the morning I would be okay. I gave them another 4 days and it did not show up. It has been 26 days since they have had my money and 18 business days since I paid for this transmission. Do yourself a favor and do not use them. They do not return phone calls, do not respond right away and got an interest free loan of $1,100 for a month. Oh, yes, I also just spoke with their manager and he called me a "crying baby" because I told him I was upset and I was going to give the company bad reviews. Make your own decision. read more

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!! We ordered a transmission and paid for it on October 6th 2014. After being told it would be to us but the 17th of October I was excited. Low miles and only $900 with free shipping. October 17th came and went with no transmission. I called and was told it was in Idaho Falls ok cool it will be to us on the 23rd of October. I can handle that. Well October 23rd came and again no transmission. When I called I asked were it was and was then told it was in Henderson, CO. Wait your telling me it went backwards 800 miles? I asked for the phone number of the shipping company and the PO number. I got the phone number and a shipping number and was told by Mike or mark or whatever his name was that the trucking company was rude and very difficult to work with so be prepared. When I called Sali trucking the lady I spoke with was super nice and went above and beyond to help track our order. Surprise no such shipping number in the system. She looked for it under junkyard jungle and even under my husband's employer and his name. NOTHING!! I asked her would it matter that your company does not come into Wyoming she said no because if it started with us we would without a doubt have record of it which they did not. I then called Junkyard back and requested a refund. I was then told I would have to pay a re-stocking fee of 25%. Re stocking fee I don't think so. I never received the transmission therefore I will not be charged a re stocking fee. Which I was then told they would waive the fee. I was asked to just wait til the 24th because the transmission would be there. Of course whats one more day at this point. The24th came no transmission not a surprise. I then called left a message and Joey called 15 min later and said they would refund my $900 and he had no idea what happened to the transmission. He then told me it would take a few days to receive my money. Well on November 5th I received an e-mail after inquiring were my $900 was and to my surprise again I was given a song and dance about how they refunded me but stripe company that they used they quit using and now that company would not refund my money they already sent and now I have to deal with the other company. As luck would have it our bank is freaky fast at helping with disputes. We turned in our dispute at 815 am today 11-6-14 and by noon had our $900 back in our account. I would recommend if your thinking of using junkyard jungle for anything to RUN from them. Lesson learned for us! I don't tolerate lier's or thief's and that is exactly what this company is! BTW we found a transmission locally for less money and I am sure in much better shape than what we were trying to get. Best part of this was after being told by Joey when the transmission shows up just give us a call and we will make arrangements to get it back.
