Mike McBurney is a one-man electrician. I had several tasks to do to update bathroom lighting from the 1950's. Mike was able to come give me an estimate within days of me calling - he came over on his lunch break from another job to see my current situation. He scheduled a visit to do the job on the very tight schedule I had. My project required him to switch out an ancient ceiling light/fan/heat unit and the old circle switch for an updated button-type switch, remove old "eyeball" recessed lights to replace them with newer LEDs, and divide the eyeballs and the vanity lights from one to two switches (the new ones are much brighter, so I wanted an option to turn on one set of lights without the other) and replace an old outlet with a GFI. The work required Mike to look behind my recessed medicine cabinet to find how the current set-up was done. Since I'm replacing the cabinet, he also helped me box up the old one and bring it to the street for my trash collection. Mike noticed that not only did he need to add the switch but to change out the existing mercury one to something more up to code. The work was done neatly, quickly, and at a great price! All during the Phase 1 reopening afre COVID-19, so it was done with Mike wearing a mask and being attentive to social distancing as much as possible given the small footprint of my bathroom and my narrow doorway into the place.

Once we got it, it was $200/hour: 1 hour for driving time and 2 hours for "Layber." He was only in our building for 84 minutes. Stay away.
