my cat ended up eating a poisonous plant and ended up going into shock. Every place was closed, except for this place. There was only one doctor and we sat for four hours before we could even do blood work. bloodwork was $600..... after waiting, they still couldn't conclude anything and wanted me to do an ultrasound for another $700 . I asked if he would be OK overnight or if you could pass away and they said "he could pass away we're not sure." staff was unwelcoming and i kept asking for help and trying to get him seen faster because his ears and body were really hot (found out he had a temp of 104 ). please save your money and your pet and go somewhere else.

Our Ares banged into a boat trailer on New Year's Day. It was a terrible gash that needed to get stitched up immediately. This hospital did an amazing job. Please see the before and after photos. Ares doesn't even have a scar. Also, both Dr. Colitz and Dr. Latimer offer amazing specialty services if you ever need specialty ophthalmology and orthopedic care. There are several other specialty services as well. We are fortunate to have this center in our Jupiter community.

This vet felt that Oliver was not a candidate for surgery bc of a strong heart murmur. Their course of action was weeks of antibiotics.. I know that long term use of antibiotics creates problems for kidneys and more. I started researching homeopathy remedies and this was helping but I could see his receding gum line worsening. A homeopathy vet said to find a surgeon and have his teeth taken out. The vets near me who could do this were booked into Dec just for an initial consult. I called Chasewood and they were awesome. We made arrangements within two weeks to drive down for surgery and I spent the night and the night of his surgery near Jupiter. It was perfect Oliver is doing great and I am so appreciative! I was under the impression they said 530, but after I received a call at 5:07 stating they said it was 4:30, I got my cat and a carrier locked up the house got in the car and started driving. Roughly 15 minutes later, I got a call from a different employee in the state 'You'll have to find an emergency animal hospital. We told you 430 and when we called last time you said you thought it was 515'. He continued to be condescending rude & lacked complete regard. Even at this point right now, the vet is still open for 30 minutes. I just need them to look at my cat and I would pay for the service. But not only did they cancel because of a miscommunication, but they just left me in a terrible position As a customer, at the expense of my cat. Don't work at an animal hospital if you have no empathy. I'm appalled that this person is allowed to talk to customers that way. You're open for another 45 minutes and I was pulling in and you still had the audacity to treat me like that. Shame on you. The receptionists name is Bill

My darling baby escaped Sunday and came back unable to walk (his hip was dislocated). I brought him in to see the Dr the next day. Everything was great, I was glad they could see him and trusted they would take care of Asher. Later that day, I was told that they had been unsuccessful putting his hip in place, but had updated his shots and given him a flea bath and treated him for fleas. I went to pick him up, saddened because I knew I would need to take him to a specialist for surgery if there was to be hope of him walking again. I got there, paid my $1100 bill upfront and was then taken to the room where I waited for the Dr. I had spoken to the Dr twice during the day, getting updates on cost and how Asher was doing, so I wasn't surprised that the Dr failed twice in relocating the hip. As he was exiting to get Asher, he told me there had been an incident and Asher was cut while removing the bandages, after the second failed attempt at hip relocation. He brought Asher into the room, pulled my baby out of his cage. I was overcome by grief at the sight of my baby's leg. Asher, who had been at the office all day was now far worse off than when I brought him in. I asked what could be done to make it better he said he didn't "do it on purpose" and he was "sorry." He then kept repeating how he "followed protocol" and blamed my cat's hair. I continued to ask what I should do and he interrupted me and asked "do you want to hear about the medication or not." It was like he didn't really care. No patient plan was given, so I didn't even know how to take care of the new wound. I walked out with only the $1100 receipt and the the medicine in ziplock bags. The next day I had a couple more questions about the accident, during which the Dr explained he had actually cut a chunk of Asher's skin and fur out. He also told me that his "father was an orthopedic surgeon" and so he knew "things like this happen all the time." I am sorry, I expect more from a Dr and if I would have known my Dr accepts accidents as "things that happen all the time" I never would have gone there in the first place. I hope this saves another baby from an accident that scars them in the future. Good luck!

Although I've never been here, service alone from a phone call to request medical records for a facility I worked at is down the drain. I called to confirm a rabies certificate since their medical documentation is HORRIBLE and the receptionist was so condescending - talking to me as if I didn't know what I was reading and then she had the audacity to complain about my review about her attitude. But Yknow, Florida stuff. Definitely will be writing this for Google as well. Also as a side note it was just comical that I posted this review and the receptionist complained so much about my "unfair" review hope you enjoyed your 3 years of 3.8 stars because this is well deserved 1 star for service alone and honestly reading the reviews, animal hospital is a big yikes. He struggled with balance and walking, typical of the doxie breed, was blind in one eye, and was not interested in going outside or eating. In the last 2 days, he had developed an awful odor, was drooling constantly and took up an almost permanent residence on any one of his 4 beds. Sometimes, he would even lie on the bare floor. He didn't cry or whimper, but when awake watched my every move. He loved to be petted. As upsetting as it was, I knew this morning that I would have make the dreaded decision of euthanizing my sweet little soul. Harmony was able to accommodate me within a few hours. Upon arrival, they met me at the door and guided me to a dimly lit exam room. Even though I was familiar, Dr. Sweet and Harmony staff, explained the steps that would assure no pain for my animal. I was impressed that they were also concerned about me, as I could not hold back my tears. Dr Sweet administered a sedative, which allowed Fat Puppy to fall asleep. As he fell asleep, I pet him gently and told him how much I loved him. I prayed that God would would take my sweet boy to Heaven. When the sedative had taken effect, an assistant administered the final injection. Within a few minutes, Dr. Sweet, quietly announced that he had passed. The assistant, gently removed my puppy in a blanket. Although I cried most of today, I can not sing enough praises for Dr Sweet and her staff. Competent, Caring, Calm and Compassionate. Truly PROFESSIONAL. Thank you!!! ps. Amidst my tears, I started washing all of all of Fat Puppy's beds, bowls, and toys. In December, I was told that if I couldn't keep my dog calm, I should call, and they would prescribe something else. Now, four months later, when I reached out for help, I was suddenly told to take my dog elsewhere instead of receiving the care I was assured would be available. To make matters worse, my primary vet won't step in because the cardiologist is managing his treatment. Meanwhile, my dog is in heart failure with less than six months to live, and I'm left scrambling for support that should have been there. Adding insult to injury, when I called to speak to the doctor, his nurse lied and said he wasn't there--despite the receptionist telling me he was with a patient. Instead of addressing my concerns directly, he chose to send an email instead of calling me, avoiding a real conversation when my dog's health is at stake. I tried to call Emily the manager and she also chose not to return my calls. This experience has been frustrating, disheartening, and completely unprofessional. If you want a cardiologist who is honest, reliable, and truly cares about your pet, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at Pet Emergency and Referral Center…read more I came in specifically because my primary vet does not have a CT scan machine, and my 80 lb dog has a growth on his chest that needed imaging. When I checked in, I clearly explained that I was there for a CT scan. The younger staff member at the front desk was polite and checked me in without issue. After waiting, I was seen by Dr. Jessica Martin. She checked my dog's vitals and examined the mass, then confirmed that he would need a CT scan--which is exactly what my primary vet had already told me, and the reason I came in. However, she then informed me that their CT machine cannot accommodate a dog of my size and recommended I go elsewhere. This was extremely frustrating, as it could have been addressed before I was checked in, given that I clearly stated my reason for visiting. The situation became worse at checkout. I was told I needed to pay for the visit, which I questioned since I came in for a CT scan that could not be performed. The younger front desk staff member understood my concern, but another employee, Gretchen, intervened. During the discussion, Gretchen told me that I had not said I needed a CT scan when I checked in, and even stated that if I had said that, it would be a different situation regarding the bill. At that point, the staff member who originally checked me in overheard and confirmed that I did clearly say I needed a CT scan. Despite this, Gretchen immediately reversed course and stated that it didn't matter, that a consultation was done, and that payment was still required. This contradiction was frustrating and made the interaction feel dismissive and unfair. While a brief exam was performed, it ultimately resulted in the same conclusion I already had, without providing the service I came in for. Better communication upfront could have avoided this entire situation. I also want to specifically note the conduct of Gretchen at the front desk. Her tone was dismissive and argumentative, and her inconsistent statements during the interaction only added to the frustration. This reflects poorly on the professionalism and customer care at this facility. I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

They also throw in tons of their costly medicines per visit or to try to treat something. How much you spend on meds when your pet is sick makes up for the money they "lose" on your wellness plans and honestly makes it more expensive than any other vet around. I was informed that for an additional fee per month I would get heart worm pills enough for a monthly dosage for the term of the plan, I double checked with them verbally that it would be no charge per month no matter how big my dog got for his dosages. I specifically asked about this because because I have a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian shepard mix I knew he'd at least get to be over 100lbs. Yet I just got off the phone with them despite having not getting pills last month or this month that for the remaining two months of my plan. I would no longer have any heart worm dosages including in my plan. I would not have consented to additional dosages being used when filling out dosages after my puppy started weighing more than 100 lbs since the 50-100 pill costs the most.
