Great place to buy like-new men's clothing, shoes, sporting goods, tools, etc. Lousy place to sell…read morethem. If you make it past the cranky owner, and he agrees to take your items, expect an opaque process, no written receipts or copies of your agreement, and radio silence until you proactively reach out. Oh, and have your expectations of any money coming your way very low. You'll get 40% of whatever arbitrary price they put on your items, but of course this assumes they actually sell for the price that split was made. If your items don't sell, make sure to retrieve them prior to the mystery date that only exists on the shop's paperwork, or they'll be donated. All in all a great little store to shop in, but the owner and his approach kind of kill it.

This furniture and decor space is the majority of the space, and I found most of the items a bit too high for my budget. However, the way this furniture and decor is organized is beautiful, with several little tableaus you want to step into. I loved walking through this area. Whoever volunteers or works here has put a lot of care into this space and a lot of thought into these displays - and it is an art! Very enjoyable experience. There is another part of the store with clothing, kitchen supplies, and kids items. The clothing is very reasonably priced. Actually most of the items in this area are really affordable, and the clothing selection was high quality. Definitely a store worth stopping in to see and to explore. One of many non-profit thrift shops in Jupiter!

On Northwood Road there is a hub of fantastic places to eat and artistic places to shop. Free street parking is available and there is an overflow parking lot at the end of the street. Owned by Tim and his wife Inge, their store is like walking into Etsy. Actually they do have an Etsy shop. Their wares are composed of vintage home goods, furniture, accessories, jewelry, and hand made upcycled treasures like little glass planters you can hang and license plate art. They like to reuse what they can and turn it into something interesting rather than add to the landfill. During my visit Stone Button was participating in a Bahama relief drive as were the other shops in Northwood. They created really cute license plate art from cut up plates that read Bahamas. Outside is their salvage yard with over sized letters. This is the perfect shop to find that one of a kind gift. I left with a small china box that matches my grandmother's china. At only $10 I was pleased to find it. If you adore the vintage vibe like I do you will want to pay a visit to this charming shop.

Went back to pick it up and it was a completely different cabinet and color- something that you would buy at Hobby Lobby. When I spoke to the owner - she was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Said she would order another one- I said at this point I didn't want the cabinet- as I drove 2 hours to pick it up. She said that she was ordering it anyway. I said that I would go to my credit card company to help resolve the issue. She texted and said if I did, I wouldn't get the cabinet or my money- that she had done this before and always won. When I disputed the charge- she lied and told the credit card company that I received the cabinet. I have spent thousands of dollars in her store over the last 5 years and will never shop there again and I tell everyone I know to steer clear. Still fighting the charge and will be going to small claims court.

Jordan along with Habitat founders Millard and Linda Fuller developed the concept of partnership housing. Those in need of shelter would work side by side with volunteers to build affordable homes at no profit. House payments would be combined with no interest loans provided by supporters which would then be used to build more homes. In 1973, the Fullers took their house building concept to Zaire where they worked for three years. When they returned to the United States they founded Habitat for Humanity International in 1976. President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn became involved and raised awareness. Habitat is now in all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. They have helped 29 million to be able to afford safe shelter. In 1991 Habitat for Humanity launched the concept of the ReStore in Winnipeg, Canada. In 1992 the first Habitat for Humanity restore opened in the U.S. in Austin Texas. The ReStores accept donations from the community and home improvement stores and then resells the items to the public at a discounted price. The profit from the ReStore supports the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. I discovered this Habitat for Humanity Restore around the corner from where I had lunch. Compared to other restores I have visited, this store was cleaner, neater, and had more items. Several rooms were filled with furniture, clothing, accessories, home goods, decorative items, large and small appliances, toys, lamps, books, baskets, and linens. I was tempted by a $6 instant pot. On the day I visited they were having an additional 20 percent off pink tags. This is a great store to thrift, especially if you are setting up your first home. Shopping and donating to Habitat for Humanity really helps people in need.

You can shop here and they accept donations. On the day I visited a very sweet lady was working who only spoke Spanish. She still managed to communicate to me that they were having a 50 percent off sale on furniture and clothes were buy one get one free. They had a small selection of furniture, home goods, toys, art, small appliances, books, clothing, and accessories. It is tight in here but it is worth the time to really look around. You may find a treasure or two among the fairly priced items. Instead of adding to the landfills consider shopping and donating here. You can save money and give new life to gently used items.
