I am quite on the fence about Jus Burritos. My company frequently orders them for breakfast. On the one hand they make some really nice burritos. Not authentic mexican by no means, but hey, they put their own spin and make them Colorado style. On the other hand, the burritos are quite pricey, the tortilla shell is soggy and on top of it all, they microwave tortillas in plastic bags. The sizes are inconsistent. Some days there is barely anything inside the burrito, other times they are just perfect. Also, I really dislike that they use cubed potatoes. Jus' Burritos should be Jus' Out of Business. If a restaurant like this can survive, and have a line of people in the morning, it is either a horrible reflection on the palate of Broomfield's finest patrons, or else I seriously need to consider opening a Mexican food restaurant in Suburbia. The woman that took my order was kind enough, but from there it all went down hill. After ordering, I saw further down on the menu that rice could be added to any breakfast burrito at no additional charge upon request. I patiently waited while the woman preparing the burritos had finished the order ahead of mine, then kindly requested the addition of rice to my burrito. She informed me it was already made. I was surprised, as I fully expected her to open up that f0cking tortilla and put some rice on it. Two minutes later, I was told my Burrito was ready. I kindly requested hot sauce (can you imagine eating a breakfast burrito with out thin red and green hot sauce?). She looked me dead in the eye and told me the hot sauce is "hot." No crap lady, I did think the name was a misnomer! I asked again for hot sauce, and this time she informed me it was "very hot." I just stood there, while the woman returned to making other burritos. About a minute later, a guy came out of the back and the woman told him I wanted some hot sauce. Finally, the guy went to the back of the kitchen and put some hot sauce into a container. After this whole ordeal, I was starving. I opened up the wrapper to find a soft tortilla, they did not even heat the tortilla over the stove to give the outside some texture / firmness. The potatoes inside were not fully cooked, the eggs were hard, and the bacon was near raw. The supposedly Hot green Chili was super mild, no heat at all. The whole experience disappointed. Next time I will make the extra drive to 78th and Sheridan for Ralibertos, which serves real breakfast burritos. UPDATE - Laugh my @ss off at the review by JF of Broomfield, CO. BEST BURRITOS EVER! Hands down. Period. End of story. I love their burritos and their beans are vegetarian!! No lard, people! I get the bean and cheese with mild. Delish. I eat it over and over again. It perks up my day when I'm having a rough one. Here's a Jus primer - -They close at 2pm. Don't have a craving afterwards cause you are out of luck. -They are a mom & pop. The staff has been there (mostly) for years. Most are quiet people who are nice and polite, just not overly friendly (which is fine). -Don't expect to eat there. There are two tables outside and that is it. It's a small spot and you need to get in and get out when it's busy. -The line will be out the door in the mornings. VERY popular! -The parking lot sucks and there are some jerks who are going to the shop next door who nearly hit your car in the parking lot. Stay vigilant and don't try to turn left out of there during a busy time of day or you will sit there for hours. -They aren't that expensive. $3.50 for a big bean and cheese burrito isn't expensive compared to other places. And you are supporting a local business. They are really wonderful people who care about their regulars and are very, very nice. read more

After reading all the hype on here and having it recommended by some people, I assumed this place would be AMAZING! I just wasn't very impressed with the burritos. There were way too many potatoes and not enough eggs. It made the burrito have a slimy weird texture. If I ever come back here, I will probably get the burrito without potatoes. I didn't think the burrito was very flavorful. The green chilli was very good though which did add to the overall flavor of the burrito. The wait was about 15 minutes to order and get the food. The breakfast burritos are the only items on their menu I have tried. They were okay, but nothing special. The green chile was pretty bland and the ingredients were well-portioned but lacking on taste as well. The burritos were huge, but I wasn't satisfied after eating it. This place is also very small and (surprisingly) very busy, so you should call ahead and take your order to go. A lot of people from my work have recommended this place, and while I am in the minority camp of the new G's Burrito Grill, I figured I'd give them a try when I had to work this weekend. Saturday morning at 11 there was a goodly line of about 6-7 people in various stages of ordering. Parking was somewhat tight but you can park on the other side of the building, too. An older Hispanic man stirs (presumably) the chile sauces in a big pot in the background. The cashier is friendly enough, and 2 hardworking people hustle around crafting your culinary treats. I had a breakfast burrito which has egg, potato, and some other stuff I can't remember in it. Another $1, 1.25? gives you your choice of meats including pork, bacon, sausage, chorizo (supposedly spicy from what the cashier told me) and chicken. Kick in a few more dollars and you drown it in a tasty sea of chile sauce and molten cheddar. One thing I didn't quite get was you can get sides like guac, sour cream and other goodies for both handheld and smothered burritos, but the sides for the drowned ones were .25 to .50 more. Are the portions any bigger? If not, I'd have to dock half a star for greed. The burrito was certainly tasty enough and pretty portable in a half-size carry-out tray. I'd still have to give the nod to G's Burrito Grill for a) more chile and cheese for the price, b) slightly friendlier at G's, and c) although not really the fault of the restaurant, Jus' Burrito's location is somewhat unwieldy to get to no matter what direction you're coming from (in my opinion). But if you need quick munchies and are near the US-36 / Wadsworth-US 287 interchange, give them a shot. A warning: as Talia mentioned, they DO close at 2pm. I believe they open at 5am though, and props to them for that - I tried G's shortly before 7am on a weekday and they were still closed. Are you looking for a great breakfast burrito with a kick? Then you have found a great place to eat. Yes there is usually a line out of the small stand alone, but there's usually a line for a reason. I have found that the "HOT" actually has a kick and if I'm especially hungry I order the smothered deluxe. I definitely like my smothered drowned and that's what they do. Love, love, LOVE!!! Yeah, it might be a little inconspicuous and sometimes difficult to get to and/or park, but in my opinion well worth the effort! The staff is always really friendly (and now know my order without even asking) and the service is always super quick when I'm in a hurry to get to work. The owner is there about 99% of the time cooking something on the stove, whether it's fresh eggs or chili and always makes a point to say hello to me (now addresses me by name). I am in love with these burritos. I generally only go in for the breakfast burrito (potato, egg and cheese with pork and green chili). Sometimes I get the hand held, sometimes the "smothered". Either way, I am never disappointed. The ingredients are all fresh, hot (I don't know how it STAYS so hot!!) and ALWAYS delicious. A bit of advice, however.... I normally get my chili "medium". After a few times at this place I said "I don't think I can do it anymore" (mostly due to chronic heartburn) and started going with the "mild". Even that is still pretty hot! I've been getting Breakfast Burritos here for years. (Never had a lunch burrito here.) Don't go to Jus' Burritos expecting traditional Mexican food. Just because something isn't traditional doesn't mean it's bad. The chili is good. I get the BB with pork, mild chili, cheese and no egg. The eggs aren't great so I get it without. The potatoes are usually crispy which I love. I don't mind that they don't grill the tortillas, I think it's better that way. I think the mild is perfect, has a slight kick. (But that's because I'm a wimp when it comes to heat.) The only down side of this place is that it is inconsistent. When they get it right it's great, when they don't you get disappointed. But it doesn't keep me from going back every once in a while. Also, the parking lot is a pain. It's small and there's a huge pothole in the entrance. I wish they would relocate close by with a bigger place. My most recent visit I noticed they've gotten rid of the more unfriendly people. Everyone was really nice this time. Yummy but probably the messiest burrito I have ever eaten. The tortilla is super soft and floppy, so it's not very sturdy to hold most of it all in.it Might be best to throw it on a plate and go for it. Or even eat outside so when food falls out then it's not a big deal. I ate it in my car and I had it all over the place. Eggs and potatoes fell all over my clothes and between my car seats :/ ahhh.. I have been to this place several times for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. They have the normal choices for fillings for breakfast burritos - eggs, bacon, sausage, chorizo (I think) and potatoes. Then you can get red or green chile smothered over the top. I have only tried the green, it has quite a bit of flour in it but the flavor is good. I haven't had lunch burritos but the choices looked varied and we will definitely be going back. The only downside is the place gets pretty crowded. It is counter service in a tiny little store front with some tables outside. You place your order then step to the side to wait while they make it for you. The parking lot is also a little hairy with it being on a busy street. read more

After reading these reviews, I will go back and try a smothered burrito.Part of the reason I am rating this two stars is because of the portion size for the price. I had a handheld burrito and it was slightly bigger than a Santiago's burrito but I spent something like $5 on it. Waaaaay over priced considering there was so little meat, I wasn't even sure there was any meat in it at all. The chili wasn't hot and I much prefer very spicy chili but there is something about the chili that left me wanting to go back and give it one more try. I thought the service was friendly. Funny story though, I was there really early on a weekday and I hadn't had enough sleep. I went in thinking the sign read Ju's burritos. Not registering it is Jus' Burritos, I went in and while checking out the menu I said, "oh so you only serve burritios?" lmao. The owner said as she was pointing down at the top of the menu and stated, "yeah. See. Jus' Burritos" while she ran her finger across the name on the menu. hahahahaha. There were a couple of regulars in there just looking at me like I was very dense. Jus' Burritos is Jus' Boring. I can't stand places that focus on green chili for all their foods. What it means is that the rest of the ingredients are so tasteless, that the green chili must make up for it. This is where the problems begin for me, because I refuse to get green chili on anything. I like green chili and all, but I like to taste the ingredients of my foods, not the green chili. Their basic burrito starts with a flour tortilla with bland, likely canned, refried beans. They add some cheese, and then of course the infamous green chili. You can add meat to that, which I added steak. About 10% of what what in the burrito, was steak. I picked it apart to find some of the meat, and was surprised when I tasted it by itself. It was wonderfully flavored. I kept picking pieces out to see if I could figure out how it was flavored, but I couldn't put my finger on the flavor. The salsa they use, I swear is just Pace or something similar. Again, just something out of a #10 can. Overall, the burrito is good, and reasonably priced for its size, but leaves a lot to be desired. When I can go to Chipotle and get a much larger burritoo with FRESH pico de gallo, AWESOME steak, rice, and whole black/pinto beans, for about the same price, why would I get a jus' burrito that is jus' plain boring? read more

Why go to a burrito place if you don't want chile? These guys have pretty damn tasty red and green and the other ingredients stand up on their own as well. However, I have noticed some inconsistencies in quality and portion size. Depending on when you go you stand an equal chance of getting really excellent crunchy and well-seasoned potatoes, or bland and soggy. Also, sometimes the wait can be pretty substantial (for a burrito place) due to a high volume of customers. I expect they'll get a bigger place someday, now that they're popular. Overall, for an area with little much else in the way of tasty burritos, this place is great. read more

I think they make pretty good burrito's here. Since it's only a ten minute drive from my office we tend to visit fairly often. The chili is good, portions are good, I prefer the smothered to handhelds. The portions seems to be much smaller in the hand helds than the smothered for the price. Sadly, the eggs are not that great, and they over charge for avacado, but at least it's fresh, not guacamole, very California, hardly Mexican at all but yummy. If you go here, just get a basic breakfast burrito. Me and my friend make the mistake if getting Steak (which they charged an additional $5 for) and they barely put any steak at all in there. After a few bites and not getting any steak, I opened my burrito to check to see if I got the right one. These scam artists barely put any steak in there at all! I'm talking 5 julienne sized pieces. This spot is a great place to eat breakfast. I just picked up a chorizo breakfast burrito hot and loved it. Their 'hot' isn't scorching but does have a bit a tingling kick. The tortilla was really soft and was just right. The burrito was super cheesy and worked well with the chili in it. Overall i really enjoyed the burrito i had. I would like to see more potato's on it, but for what you pay i feel like its a pretty good value. There's no seating on the inside however there is seating behind the building. The small staff of 3 was quite friendly and had my order out within a minute (maybe less) of me ordering. Overall not a bad place to grab some quick breakfast.
