I did like that the seats were all at an angle where there was no one blocking your line of sight. We sat up in the higher seats toward the back so it was definitely no one blocking our vision. I will say that I was expecting more at the pageant. I don't know if it was due to the people who put on the pageant or if the performing arts center helped them put on the show, but it was very basic. Maybe the background and general set up was basic, as not to detract focus from the lovely ladies parading around the stage with the hopes of winning. I will say that everything looks new and clean and it doesn't give off that old high school auditorium feel. The rest of the center is very nice. The bathrooms are reasonable and there is some cool sculptures hanging overhead in the lobby. I still prefer the size of the auditorium and stage at other venues like the Washington Center for Performing Arts or the Pantages Theater, but this one works for this campus.

In 1987, the theatre was successfully listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The interior of the theatre itself is a glorious example of an "atmospheric" theatre. Instead of the bland curtain covered walls of modern theatres, here, you are transported through architectural elements and ornamentation to a Spanish courtyard under an evening sky. Periodically, the theatre presents classic movies. I was able to attend a showing of The Goonies, and while I already have this in my personal movie collection, getting the chance to see it once again on the big screen for the first time since 1985 was too tempting to pass up..."Goonies Never Say Die!" There are fewer than 50 Atmospheric Theatres left in the entire world. If you ever get a chance to attend a movie or live performance at this one, do yourself a favor and go to the show!

Shows include GHC music and theatre productions as well as performances staged by outside touring groups. Considering the rural location of this theatre, you might not expect to find Broadway quality productions and the diversity of music performed...and that's really what makes this venue such a jewel for the Harbor. Seat comfort is exceptional. The 440 seats are larger and better cushioned than the norm and leg room is very good. The acoustics are also quite good...there's really not a bad seat in the house!

After visiting their website it seems that they mostly show movies, but looks like they do have a lot of performances here too which is cool! It was a general admission show, and we were honestly kind of nervous we wouldn't get seating. The floor area was mostly for standing, and that's just not my vibe anymore. Maybe in my 20s, but not anymore! We were pleasantly surprised to get seating in the balcony area up above. Seating was comfortable and we managed to get a great view, but I don't think any of the seats necessarily could have a bad one. Sound here was great, the staff was all super friendly, and we overall had a really great experience with this venue. We normally attend shows up in Seattle so this was a nice switch up from the more daunting downtown scene up there.

The show was awesome and carried the rock opera concept in an expert manner. Loved the band and the cast as they did an excellent job with their performances. Of course Hedwig remains beloved and the understudy who played the character enforced that with ease. Very promising and talented cast. Great job!

They offer many different types of classes for all ages and skill level. Their costumes for their performances are modest which is much appreciated as a mom. One of my daughters also had her birthday party here one year and the kids absolutely loved it!
