The guy that did my nails was the worst. Poor attitude and my nails looked awful and lumpy. The lady that did my toes was awesome and they came out perfect. My nail chipped off the day after and my daughters came off the day after. I also wanted my nails and toes the same color and didn't notice until I left that they were 2 different colors. The guy didn't even ask me what shape I wanted . I guess he just did whatever he wanted including the color. I spend 120 dollars at this place and got nothing I wanted and they look like crap!

I normally only need a pedicure I've had my nails done by the older male in the past and they last all of 3 days before chipping or breaking off completely. The ambiance here is nice, since the younger owner took over she redecorated and primped the place up to modern standards. They're the only salon with 2 children pedicure chairs which is an added plus for little girls, however I made a call and confirmed if I needed to have an appointment, the female voice advised "oh no" " no appointments today only walk in". I said oh my they just be busy! I arrive a couple of hours later and there was one woman in a pedicure chair, a child in one child chair and a female getting her nails done but wrapping up. I said oh great perfect timing in my head. I advised the staff what I needed when entering she said "pick your color". I did and my daughter and I sat in the chair. 3 other women entered after and walked in and picked their color and she advised them to have a seat in the pedicure chairs. another women entered she said it'll be an hour before we get to you. That women left the salon. I asked should we sit in a chair. She yelled "no, you wait they have appointments". I said I called to see if I needed to make an appointment this morning, she replied yea that's was today I said ma'am I would've made the appointment for a diff day you didn't offer the option. She ignored me and I left and went to Fleur De Lis spa in Harahan and had the top of line pedicure, and 2 mani/pedi for my family. They were packed with patrons and treated my mom, daughter and I like a true salon! So although this was a bad experience. My Mother's Day weekend was saved by a different place and I will be returning there twice monthly! Thanks Ciel/ L&D nails for a recurring bad experience.

I could not go to work in my condition, so I booked a 60-min deep tissue massage with Lauren at Body Art Day Spa and Hair Salon to try to relax the spasticity. Lauren was very knowledgeable about MS. I told her my goal was to go to work the next day and not suffer in pain. She addressed the seriously spastic areas on my back, neck, and shoulders with cupping. I felt immediate relief. I had never had cupping before, and I was surprised with the instant results it provided. The room was decorated for Halloween, but in a cozy way. The vibe was definitely relaxing. This morning, I woke up feeling 10 years younger. I was not in pain like I have woken up with for the past 7 years. I was able to remember what my upper back and shoulders felt like before MS took over. To top it off, Lauren is a good soul. You can see it and feel it upon meeting her.
