If I could give this place a 0 I would. Me and my daughter went here to get my nails, toes and my daughters nails done before we left for vacation the next morning. The guy that did my nails was the worst. Poor attitude and my nails looked awful and lumpy. The lady that did my toes was awesome and they came out perfect. My nail chipped off the day after and my daughters came off the day after. I also wanted my nails and toes the same color and didn't notice until I left that they were 2 different colors. The guy didn't even ask me what shape I wanted . I guess he just did whatever he wanted including the color. I spend 120 dollars at this place and got nothing I wanted and they look like crap! read more

I have given this place multiple attempts at being a regular customer over the years since I live in the area, but I just can't do it anymore because of the inconsistency of the staff treating you fairly. I normally only need a pedicure I've had my nails done by the older male in the past and they last all of 3 days before chipping or breaking off completely. The ambiance here is nice, since the younger owner took over she redecorated and primped the place up to modern standards. They're the only salon with 2 children pedicure chairs which is an added plus for little girls, however I made a call and confirmed if I needed to have an appointment, the female voice advised "oh no" " no appointments today only walk in". I said oh my they just be busy! I arrive a couple of hours later and there was one woman in a pedicure chair, a child in one child chair and a female getting her nails done but wrapping up. I said oh great perfect timing in my head. I advised the staff what I needed when entering she said "pick your color". I did and my daughter and I sat in the chair. 3 other women entered after and walked in and picked their color and she advised them to have a seat in the pedicure chairs. another women entered she said it'll be an hour before we get to you. That women left the salon. I asked should we sit in a chair. She yelled "no, you wait they have appointments". I said I called to see if I needed to make an appointment this morning, she replied yea that's was today I said ma'am I would've made the appointment for a diff day you didn't offer the option. She ignored me and I left and went to Fleur De Lis spa in Harahan and had the top of line pedicure, and 2 mani/pedi for my family. They were packed with patrons and treated my mom, daughter and I like a true salon! So although this was a bad experience. My Mother's Day weekend was saved by a different place and I will be returning there twice monthly! Thanks Ciel/ L&D nails for a recurring bad experience. read more

UPDATE: The picture was 3 days after and in a week after my manicure, the top coat was chipped off of almost every nail. Won't return here. It was my first visit here. I don't get my nails done often. I got the dip powder, and when he was applying my gel top coat, there was some sort of issue and he had to buff it all off and start the top coat process again. I understand mistakes happen, but I now have several chips on the top coat of my nails and it hasn't been 48 hours. He was flustered with the problem and rushed to finish and this is the outcome. Disappointing. Giving 3 stars because the place is nice and pretty inside. read more

This is my go to place for my pedicures. They tend to get a little busy, but it's worth the wait. It's always the same people working so you get to know them. The services are great every time. I don't usually get my nails done, but when I decide to, they do that great as well. They will be doing my bridal party in September and told me we'll have the place to ourselves so we can bring food and drink and have a party. I can't wait! read more

I asked for him to do a full gel set and he gave me acrylics. I told him that I didn't want acrylics as soon as I saw what he was doing and he just ignored me. He then cut my nails with scissors because he couldn't find his other stuff and hurt me. I'd be fine with the acrylics if they weren't so ugly. They are really thick and bubbly and are just plain ugly. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I decided to give them another chance now that they're under new management. They're better, but the woman who did my nails misunderstood me. I went in this past Thursday for a full acrylic set. I tried telling her what I wanted, but couldn't because I stutter. So she asked me if I wanted acrylics & I nodded yes. Then she told me to point out what I wanted since I couldn't speak fluently. I pointed to the basic manicure. Now, mind you, I thought she was gonna give me a basic manicure WITH the acrylics like she asked. She didn't. She just painted my nails with the color I chose, sat me under a nail dryer fan & sent me on my way. Two hours later, the nail polish had chipped & wasn't even fully dried. I sat there drying my nails for about 15-20 mins along with spraying the instant dry thing on my nails. I don't know the woman's name, but she was very sweet. read more

Will never step a foot back into this salon. I have been going there and recommended them to my mother who is in a wheelchair. The owner of the salon refused to do her nails because she was in a wheelchair and could not sit in his chair. He was very rude and belligerent to her.
