Called them up to do a spot job on a bumper for a BMW. They blamed higher paint prices and gas as an excuse to charge a considerable cash price for a 1.5" section of paint. Able to buy the OEM primer, paint and clear coat for a small fraction and it takes barely over an hour. Most of the time is just waiting for the paint to dry. The labor is hardly anything. We all understand inflation, but com'on.. don't try to mislead people on what the true cost is. read more

I've used Jim's bumper repair service twice now, once on a 2001 Civic last year and again on a 2012 Prius C just today. Jim's service is awesome! Hence the repeat business for me. The way it worked for me is that I just sent him an email with pictures of the damage and asked for a quote. He responds pretty much by next day and asks you to call to setup an appointment. I then called and setup the soonest appointment (same process both times). He shows up at your door with his truck that has all the gear he needs to get his work done. He is SUPER friendly and very considerate of the noise level, which is important for me since I live in a condo community. My Civic had 3 bumper scratches that had been the result of myself and relatives scraping against inanimate objects over time. I wanted to get it repaired before selling it and that service took only about 4 hours at around $390 if I recall correctly. 2 of the scratches were pretty bad and had been there for years. My Prius C, which is the car I bought after the Civic, had a slightly detached rear bumper plus a nasty scratch that was the result of me backing into the edge of my neighbor's trunk door while the door was lying parallel to the ground (on his pickup truck). At first, Jim was concerned that I would have to take the car to an auto body to get a new bumper if he wasn't able to reattach it. Luckily, he was able to reattach the bumper in less than half an hour and proceeded to do the scratch repair, which took just under a couple hours. That work came out to $250. I highly recommend Jim. Super friendly + reasonably priced + super convenient. You don't often find that combination in car repair guys. read more

Jim is a complete professional. Paint and body is one of those "magical voodoo arts" that has always escaped me in my years of mechanical experience. Jim was a testament to this art.
