Thank you for the beautifully made sandwiches and mocha! It's a wonderful place. Good energy and positive vibes, organic everything! We are stoked on this place. Hope to come again!

A very cute cafe in Olympia. Located next to a yoga studio, Soul Cafe lives to its name with its warm atmosphere, fresh food, and refueling drinks. I came here with my parents who have visited before while we were driving down to Portland. LOGISTICS Soul Cafe has an interested location - not only is it located attached to a yoga studio, it's also in a business park so you wouldn't really know it existed driving by. However the best way to describe the cafe is homey, from the wood tables and decor. Indoor seating is very limited, so if you are more than 2 people it might be hard to dine-in if the outside weather isn't great. We lucked out and got the only round table to fit 4 people. Majority of people coming in were doing take-out orders. If the weather is nice, they have a lovely outdoor patio area with more seating. Ordering is done at the counter - staff are very friendly and helpful too. Come here to chill and have a meal. As others have said... it does take a bit to get food orders, but this is a very low key place, not a sandwich fast food chain. It has that kind of vibe. FOOD Tempeh Reuben: Disclaimer - I'm not vegan/vegetarian... but I do enjoy eating plant based food because I think it's more interesting, and this was a good example of that. Lots of flavor even without the traditional pastrami, the sauerkraut and swiss were a good combo with their marinated grilled tempeh. Sauce was on point bringing a good tang. The sandwich also was nicely toasted and warm on rye bread - not sure why someone was complaining their sandwich wasn't a panini / flat pressed sandwich... as mine definitely was. I think it's dependent on the bread in the description, so if this is enough to bother you, pay attention to the menu? Herbal Fries: Health aside, these are crack. Literally, I could eat a bucket of these - the herbal fries here are VERY good. Fragrant and perfectly crisp, but without feeling too greasy / guilty. Recommend getting your own because you probably won't want to share... I know my family didn't. One thing to note about their latte drinks - they are served with their house made cashew milk. No dairy... praise the lactose intolerance gods! Really though, I liked that non-dairy was already the default. Spiced Mocha: I have become a coffee snob (anti-Starbucks), but this met my expectations for the PNW! It was served at the right temp and the espresso didn't taste burnt - just right. Don't let the spices, especially the cayenne, scare you. It gives the drink a nice but soothing warmth while drinking, that really compliments the espresso and chocllate. OVERALL It's a little off the beaten path but a hidden gem in Olympia if you're looking for fresh food and drinks made with care. Plus you can taste the quality, at least I did in those fries and reuben. While not quite the fastest food service, that's not the vibe this place is going for. Skip the big chain sandwich shops and support a great local business!

We came to a favorite place for lunch today. The food was healthy and delicious - as always! The new location had a nice vibe Highly recommend this one!

Food was great, exactly the flavor I was looking for in a Banh Mi but made on gluten free bread. Not as pretty as the baguette, but they gave me extra! I can't say enough good things about how magical the outside is partially because it's in a hillside behind a Nordstrom Rack. Please go!

Soul Cafe in Olympia (https://www.soulcafe.love/) is a treasure!! Some members of my family have celiac disease, and some are vegan. The atmoshere is cozy; the staff is so friendly and food is absolutely delicious plus it's good for your body! Special thanks to owners, Devon and Prism, and the awesome staff to include Infinity and Connor! What an incredible place! Recommendations: Black and Brie Chicken Melt; Black Garlic Nacho Fries; Chicken Banh Mi; Wild Mushroom, Spinach and Cheese Toast; (TBLT) Temphe, Bac'un, Lettuce and Tomato; and Temphe Reuben

The sandwich is very tasty, but at 14.55 after tax, I would have liked at least 2 slices of turkey (there is one slice of turkey on this sandwich). If I had more than 30 minutes for lunch I would go pick up another snack to fill me up. Cute spot inside of something called traditions cafe, but if you're really hungry or unable to order 2 sandwiches, I'd try somewhere else.

TBLT -hold the turkey death and add the tempeh

I am a single working mom with a broken elbow. i haven't been inside of Soul Cafe but they are healing me. Comfort food, for me, has never been greasy heavy carbs and meat. Comfort food, for me, is easily digested and nourishing vegan food. Lavender shakes. Rosewater smoothie. Sandwiches that don't cripple your energy but elevate it. Soul Cafe is my comfort food.

So, this maybe a place for others, but my mushroom bread had barely any mushrooms, and we added chicken to it and it seemed to be pre-sliced chicken used for every dish, and all was kinda cold, and my husbands truffle smashed potato was mostly a large potato and nothing else. Service was a little slow, but the environment outside was beautiful!

Atmosphere is amazing and peaceful, food is fresh and unique- I got the raspberry grilled cheese. I find it a bit too sweet, but it's good. Wish there was a bit more green on it. Came out super hot- price is what I'd expect for a snazzy little organic place like this. Service is quick and friendly- knowledgeable about their food. They can make anything on the menu vegan, and you can add/customize stuff. If I'm in the area I will be back.

Exceptional! I'm from California and I thought we had the market cornered on healthy and delicious but the cashew milk earl grey latte and avocado toast were the best I've ever had. Well done Soul Cafe!!

    Almond Protein Smoothie
    Heather F.

Came by for a smoothie before yoga class and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the almond protein shake and I was once again blown away by how delicious all the menu items are. They have a gorgeous enclosed and heated patio off the back which is so relaxing to sit in. Wish I could eat here every day!

We ordered the avocado toast, chickpea sandwich, and coffee, and everything was delicious. The food was fresh, satisfying, and paired perfectly with the excellent coffee, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or lunch. Service was quick and friendly, and our order arrived promptly. The atmosphere is the real standout. We somehow spaced it that the cafe served only plant based food and only realized it after we took couple of bites because the food had unpleasant aftertaste. The pros: 1. Appreciate the support for LGBTQ 2. Appreciate the idea of "plant based" food 3. Nice atmosphere The cons: 1. The 12 oz cup of tea and the 16 oz cup of latte were served in the 12 oz mugs. We paid for a 16 oz latte. 2. Early Grey was of poor quality. Not much flavor. 3. The scones tasted ok, but not like true traditional scones. I presume it is because they are plant based. 4. Shortly after eating a sundried tomato scone I started feeling nauseated and developed a headache which lasted for several hours after. I do not have food allergies, I do though react poorly to heavily processed food. Knowing my body very well this makes me wonder about the quality of ingredients used. Plant based food is a very noble idea and is better for health and environment when in its natural form (olive oil, veggies, whole grains, etc.), but unfortunately some products are often very heavily processed (plant based butter, cheese, etc.). I have no idea what those scones were made of. I will not eat other scones after this experience. 5. I took a bite of hubby's panini. It had an unpleasant aftertaste. 6. We paid for 3 scones. The cashier gave us only two. I thought that the third one would be brought out shortly with the rest of the order so I let the cashier to attend to the line behind us. When the 3rd scone wasn't brought out I approached the counter to ask about it. Another person that was standing there asked me if I paid for it.......Seeing so much suspicion on their face I told the person that I would like to wait for the cashier to see if she would remember me placing an order. To which that person responded - I believe you......This was not a pleasant experience and this is not sound customer service if you ask me. Instead of taking responsibility and checking their system, they made me feel like I was trying to get free food. A professional business should always prioritize making the customer feel heard and valued, rather than putting them on the defensive. The OK: Coffee was just ok. I personally wouldn't come back for it. Overall this is not my cup of tea. I wouldn't come back.
