I hate leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately this experience was enough that we won't be returning. We stopped by today for two coffees. At the speaker, the barista repeated my order back correctly. When I got to the window, she told me the total, I paid, and then before handing me my drinks she informed me that they hadn't charged me for the second drink. I was confused because the total had already been around $10, so I asked how that could be if one drink hadn't been rung up. She explained that the price included all of the add-ons, but when I looked at the receipt on my phone, it wasn't clear at all. In fact, the receipt made it appear as though both drinks had already been charged. I was then charged a second time for the missing drink. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. However, many businesses will either honor the original total or apologize for the inconvenience when the mistake is on their end. Neither happened here. To make matters worse, after paying again, I was handed drinks that were incorrect, they were the wrong size and not what I had ordered. When I questioned it, the barista simply went back to what she was doing without apologizing or offering to fix the situation. After I left, I looked at the second receipt, and it also didn't make much sense. It's really unfortunate because my family spends a lot of money here. Between my kids getting Italian sodas and our coffee runs, we're regular customers. I usually enjoy the ambiance and the staff, however, was very disappointed with my experience. A simple apology and an effort to make things right would have gone a long way. Instead, we left feeling overcharged, with the wrong drinks, and like our concerns didn't matter. Came here during the early morning time with Jaric before I went to work for nighttime shift and it was... eh. Food was good, but I ordered the green egg and ham sandwich. Was not even green ._. It looks like they got egg and ham that had mold on it instead. Not that it tasted like there was mold, but it looked like it. They have these different energy drinks with unique names that are very sweet, too! If you are going to order something here, your best bet is the breakfast burrito because that sauce took it up to a level that made it one of the best that I ever had. Love the different types of seating arrangements from high tables, regular ones, benches, and couches with pillows. Such a cozy place to study or do work at. Parking was ample, too. What a cute little find! Usually I'm in this area at 7 in the morning to help set up River City Church, but we'd done set up the night before so we were able to come in before Taylor Ray's open. The place is small but it has high ceilings, a cozy couch area with an electric fireplace, and cool outside seating for a gorgeous summer or fall morning. I tried the Kevin Bacon without the English muffin because I'm keto like that, but when you see it without bread, it seems pricey, but it was still tasty. I'll come back here when I'm not in a hurry and bring my laptop or a book so I can soak in the vibes and when I'm not doing keto because that unicorny Rice Krispie bar looked insane. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but the food needs some work. The menu looks good, but what I ordered tasted more like frozen food that had been reheated than something freshly made. Fresh ingredients would make a huge difference here. I also tried a latte, and unfortunately it wasn't very good either. Since I live nearby, I'd love to come back and support this spot, but they really need to fine-tune the flavors and focus more on freshness. After the other coffee shop in the area closed, I've been looking for another local shop that isn't Starbucks. This was a cute little shop. Be mindful, the drive thru speaker isn't very loud so you may need to drive up to the window. The workers were very friendly, and I know my doggo was quite happy when he got a treat at the window. The breakfast burrito was super yummy! I'd definitely get it again. The sauce and flavor were a great combination. They cooked it very well and the tortilla was perfectly flaking. There were 5 of us and we all ordered a beverage and a snack. I asked for a machhiattto without caramel and she put down latte. I objected and she said it was to get the right price. I went to the pickup counter along with my group. They all got served, even the driver who had gone to park the van while I waited and waited while meanwhile they served people at the window and then the driver while I waited. After waiting and asking for at least a cup of coffee I was handed a beverage which turned out to be not what I ordered but something sweet when I wanted just a little foam and no sugar. We live about 8 miles (which isn't far but still annoying when you're wanting something specific) from Juniper so I check online (Google, Facebook, and Instagram) to make sure they're open before we head over. I wanted to love this place but they are a serious hit or miss. Went there with my husband on a Saturday morning and waited over 15 minutes for just 2 coffees. I would've possibly waited longer had I not asked for a refund because we had to go. On a different occasion (more recently) we ordered two breakfast sandwiches, and 2 coffees, paid close to $30 for everything. Upon arrival back home, mine and my husband's sandwiches were BOTH cold in the center. Not only did they change their sandwiches to something not even remotely close to what they were before, they can't even keep up with the quality of the food, AND they are charging the same amount, if not more. Stopped by for food and not coffee, but it was so good! This place is tucked away inside a small round strip mall, and I first noticed it when I went to physical therapy in the same strip. Finally stopped by and it was the cutest little shop! Loved the colorful wallpaper and cozy seating (though I'm not sure if people can eat in yet). I got the burtatta, which was just a breakfast burrito, but flat?, but it was so good! I loved the hot, evenly filled chewy tortilla, and it came with a gloopy sauce that was tasty used sparingly. Definitely on the small side if you're especially gluttonous at breakfast time like I am. The best part was that I got what I thought was a cinnamon roll, but it turned out to be a doughnut! Looking back, it is under the doughnuts section of the menu, but my brain didn't register this until I was eating the delicious fried on the outside, light and fluffy yeasty insides, that I realized I was eating a doughnut shaped like a cinnamon roll. This place is one of the worst coffee shops I have been too. Overpriced, microwaved, pre-made food. Very high turnover among employees, which is a red flag. Cold brew is the weakest I have ever seen. Rude, "woke" children running the cafe, which is a reflection of the ownership. Read the one star reviews. They all have the same common themes and complaints. Avoid and find a better coffee shop. I went with some friends and checked out Taylor Ray's Cafe after reading all the positive reviews. Here is my decision, concerning this cafe: The building is very pretty and the inside is bright and decorated with new pieces. You can tell they are trying to make it look nice and welcoming. Warmth is missing, temperature wise and style wise. The location is way out of my way and unless you have specific business in this area or live in the surrounding residential area it's not conveniently located. The staff was friendly but rushing around - might had to do with a flock of pre-teens arriving after school was out. Now here is my beef with them: if you are a business in the year of 2024, with some knowledge of what is going on on our planet, you should invest in real cups and dishes instead of adding tons to our landfill! There is no excuse! Also, with all of our delicious bakeries around, do you really need to sell food from Costco? A want to be local supported cafe that does not support the local bakeries? Sorry, I won't be back ( I doubt my friends will be) and I cannot, with good conscience, recommend this cafe. read more

Inadequate Covid-19 prevention measures We have had lunch at Juniper a number of times. We use the drive up. Then we eat at one their picnic tables. Today we noticed that this is an even wiser choice than we thought. Customers do not mask up when they go inside. We noticed several persons in more than one party go in, order and sometimes stay in to eat Without masking up. This is an inconsiderate behavior and raises the risk of COVID-19 infection, especially with the delta variant. We walked in at around early on a Friday morning. There was one customer before us and only two employees working. However, after they served clearly a regular customer, my husband and I were ignored while they only worked back to back to back drive thru customers. No acknowledgement that were even standing right there. When another employee walked in, she apologized and did take our order. I get it, sometimes staff can get overwhelmed but what sealed the deal, my husband who is a plain coffee drinker order a drip coffee and no dice-machine broken. Ok, so an americano, largest size. I ordered a hot caramel macchiato. After more drive thru orders served, we finally get our coffees and I was so disappointed. Both our coffees were incredibly weak. On top of that, we realized once we got home, he didn't even get a large, he got a 16oz. I was so looking forward to trying Juniper Coffee since it was close to my house but this was probably one of the most disappointing coffee experiences in Lacey/Olympia area. I can't say enough good things about Juniper. A cute coffee shop with good drinks and delicious food that is light years better than your average coffee shop food - what more could you want? Also, everyone working there is kind and friendly. Some specifics on the food - all of the breakfast options are delicious, you can't go wrong. For lunch, it is all about the pulled pork sandwich. I know when you're thinking of places to find amazing pulled pork, you wouldn't necessarily think of a small coffee shop nestled in a residential neighborhood, but prepare to be surprised. I have tried the chicky wich but thought it was too heavy on the chives, so I wouldn't recommend unless you're a big fan of chives. read more
