Payment and ordering the cake was a breeze so much so I double check the invoice and it was all exactly what I described ( the pickup time, cake details, colors etc) However when it came the day of pick up 1.cake was not really on time ( went at 11 suppose to be for 10 am ) 2. Was told they would DELIVER instead, I pleaded please before party time ( 1pm ) 3. Cake arrived Late at 136pm ! During my party . 4. details were all wrong , the name was on the bottom tier, the number was suppose to be in YELLOW, the design of the crayons were poor design and nothing like the picture I submitted, the cake appeared very rushed / sloppy/ bumpy. 4. People complained of the taste of the bottom tier ( vanilla tasted bad ) 5. Cupcakes were suppose to be rainbow topping NOT separate color I was offered a 100 dollar STORE credit however after this I won't spend at this location or recommend this location. I thought communication was great and processing the payment was easy but unfortunately what I got wasn't what I ordered. I was asked to provide an example of an image for referencing and upon doing so I was told that it could be done. In my opinion if it couldn't be done, they should've explained that and share what they could do instead. The most important part for me was the rainbow portion of the cupcake and I said they could do whatever for the icing. My cupcake was not rainbow though. In the sample image it was bright rainbow colors. What I received was the original cupcake color with spots of faded blue and pink only. I chose not to complain simply because I had no time to even ask if they could remake them, I didn't believe they could actually do what I asked since this is what I received to begin with and the frosting was pretty enough. Back in April 2021, I requested this business' service for a birthday cake. I attached a reference photo to show exactly what I wanted. They were far off from following the reference. The cake presented with lumps and dents, as well as a large air lump that I was blamed for (they suggested I didn't place the cake in the fridge immediately, even though I did). See the photos attached to this review as a reference. Fast forward to the present: they did me dirty today. In February 2023, I had requested a rental backdrop for a baby shower that I hosted today at Roma View. They confirmed my request and assured me that the rental would be dropped of at the venue. I arrived at the venue to set up for the party, and noticed the rental backdrop was absent. I called their business, questioned the absence of the rental, and they told me they'd get back to me later. Instead of calling me back directly, they called Roma View instead, apologizing that the rental was not available... DESPITE HAVING ME REQUEST AND PAY FOR THE RENTAL ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE. This has to be one of the most creative little bakeries I have been to!! It's a tiny shop tucked in Old Howard Beach, just steps from the JFK/Howard Beach station. I was headed to Howard Beach and this was a top Yelp suggestion. There were all kinds of wonderful goodies that made for some great holiday boxes to drop off on my next few stops. What was really nice is that they were decorated in fall colors with fun little Thanksgiving touches. There was a wide variety of chocolate covered Oreos with turkeys, leaves, pilgrims and cornucopia. Graham crackers and Rice Krispies were also dipped and decorated. And, God, I wish I had saved a chocolate and sprinkle-covered Twinkie for myself!! Everything was tucked into unique pink boxes, which helps these treats stand out from the usual bakery fare. Next time I'm going for the chocolate pizzas, cupcakes, and beautifully decorated cakes. The young lady behind the counter was also the baker and she could not have been nicer. She was so helpful!
