I finally tried these delicious Haitian patties and I have no regrets. I went with two chicken and one beef patties. I got very lucky because these patties literally came straight out of the oven. They were delicious and fresh. The service needs improvement. There is no clear line formed to order. People sort of bunch up or crowd around instead of forming a line. Also, the staff member didn't greet me or anyone with a "Hello, Good morning, etc." The patties tasted very good. Nice and flaky but not too flaky. Also, there's a decent amount of meat (chicken and beef) inside of them. The total for 3 patties was about $5! Not bad at all! I'm looking forward to going back and placing a larger order. I was recently introduced to the fresh rolls from this bakery. Today, I drove quite a distance to buy some. The lady working there today was very rude and impatient with me and I will never again support this business. I ordered the rolls, the sweet biscuits and one of each patty. She gave me all of the patties in the same bag and I asked her how can I tell which patty is the fish. The woman sucked her teeth so loud and then proceeded as if I was bothering her. She lacks the most basic of customer service skills. She should not be allowed to interact with customers ....ever!!! I told her that I will leave a terrible review and she laughed. I had to call a Haitian bakery to inquire about their baked goods and place a large order, but no one picked up, despite my repeated attempts. When I visited in person, I call in front of them and listen as I heard the phone ring in front me. The staff seemed uninterested, watching their cell phones and chatting among themselves. Although they offer great Haitian baked goods, their lack of professionalism and poor customer service may deter potential customers. If you're looking for a good Haitian bakery, I would recommend visiting this shop in person, but don't expect to get through by phone. read more

Amazing pattes at very reasonable prices. Got the chicken, beef, smoked herring and cod fish flavors for takeout. The pattes were like puff pastries with a thin layer of fillings inside. everything was pretty good with an exception of the smoked herring, which had amazing flavor but was a but in the salty side Everything was placed into paper bags and the flavors were all mixed up. Only tried it once and looking forward to trying it again. But for now I can only give 3 stars. Very small inside so dont expect to sit/ stand and eat. They still breads, pastries and the big deal..... patties. The patties were good. However I wish they were thicker (as in more layers) and the meat sparse (true to fashion). At $1.25 each they're reasonably priced; someone even told me when she gets a fozen... they're discounted. I can't confirm but will give them another shot and maybe even get 12 (to share of course). I tried La Baguette for the first time and I'm glad I did. I had beef and chicken patties. They were flavorful and the flaky pastry that encompassed the meat made for a great patty. These patties were inexpensive and pleasantly warm since they came straight from the oven. While they serve delicious baked goods, there is almost no type of decor here. The cousin of the ubiquitous UK influenced via Caribbean style Jamaican Patty is the French imbued Haitian "Pate". Perhaps more sophisticated than its counterpart with a much flakier puffed pastry reminiscent of something you would find in a boulangerie in Lyon. The beef and chicken fillings are decidedly less spicy and very provincial tasting in the best way, rich and oniony. Then there is the smoked herring variety which was a unique discovery for me... smoky, salty and pretty spicy as well. Damn. I'm a lucky guy. I don't stop by La Baguette often, but recently I've been there almost twice a week this past month. If you want comfort food, those patties are it. My supervisor at work - Mirthal - brought a box to work one morning. I remember it as if it was 15 minutes ago. Rectangular and appearing to be made of cardboard, this box made an immediate impression upon me and I began calculating - wondering - "Is this a cake or some type of pastry?" I bought 6 herring patties this past Tuesday! oh boy I go the worst food poisoning from this horrible place. I couldn't wait for this place to open because that meant a bakery in walking distance. When it finally did open I was thrilled to find out that it was a Haitian run establishment. I myself being Haitian I enjoy having such treat as Pâté, Haitian bread, and much more. And you find all that here. Everything you liked growing up and freshly made too. The breads are so soft and practically melts in your mouth. The Pâté are flaky and filled with a decent amount of filling, which ever you choose to have, whether it is made up of grounded beef, chicken, or morue. I'm so mad every time I go there they hardly ever have hot chocolate, early morning trips there with my co workers and they hardly ever have hot chocolate for the customers so disappointing cause in the winter that's all we enjoy. The other locations r more consistent. Patties aren't bad but the Owner needs to address the workers about the inconsistency with the hot chocolate, I mean it's Winter time for goodness sake, make some Hot Chocolate, this is the closest location when we leave work at 7am n cant tell you how many times we have dissapointed craving some good ol haitian hot chocolate. I had my reservations when my wife told me to try their cod fish patties. However, I decided to try it anyway. OMG, these are one of the greatest things I've ever had in my life! Found this place on a whim, they have a $10 credit card minimum. The patties are $1.25 each, which isn't too bad for flaky and buttery meat/fish filled goodies. Don't expect these to be filled to the brim, that's not how Haitian patties roll. I got three chicken and three fish ones to go and I was pleased with my decision. read more
