WAS NOT aware this place is vegan! Picked up cakes here for a work meetings and they were so damn good. The coconut one was my favorite. It was fresh and moist - like a damn dream. The chocolate was pretty delicious as well, I was not too keen on the tiramisu though. Definitely recommend trying them out, the prices are not too wild (considering most vegan places have a high price point). They even accommodated us last minute for two birthday cakes - I believe we placed the order two days beforehand?
It's "puzzle night" at home this evening and I am looking for a nice dessert for the family. Since my son is vegan and my most favorite cake is Black Forest, I searched Yelp and google on where I can buy a vegan Black Forest cake, and found this place. So, my son and I set out and went to this place, street parking was somewhat difficult. We noticed that the interior of the bakery is clean and simple. We immediately bought the vegan Black Forest cake, cake had no fancy decorations in it, frosting was marbled and was acceptable. For a vegan cake the price was lower than what I expected. As we were eating the cake for dessert, I noticed that it does not have enough cherry fillings in it, the cake (bread? I don't know what term to use) was good, frosting was very sweet. My son enjoyed the cake except for the frosting. My daughter expressed that she has tried their vegan mango mousse cake before, which she say was a lot better than the vegan black forest cake. My son explained that I should not be comparing a vegan cake too much to a regular one as ingredients are very different which affects the taste and texture. I would say I am satisfied with the cake but would still prefer the regular black forest. I made my vegan son happy and that's what matters, in fact he finished the leftovers the next day. For a vegan cake this is satisfactory to good.
We placed a custom cake order several days before the pickup date. The staff on the phone was very friendly and explained how the design can work. For a 8 inch custom design cake with a name and Happy Birthday on it, the price is $65. That is very reasonable and the size of the cake was good enough for 10 people. For orders over the phone, payment via Zelle has to be made. The filling was a vanilla sponge with chocolate cake. Very moist, probably more moist than I would like but was still popular. Will order again!
Listen up people.. Aunty Kamla's cake is by far the best vegan cake you'll ever treat yourself to. Once you try her cake you'll never go back to the blah stuff.. I've been ordering from her for well over 15 years now and not once can I ever say I've been disappointed.. the quality is absolutely incredible.. no once can bake and design cakes as professionally as her.. with a beautiful little store and wonderful customer service I stand by my word when I say she's the best there is.. I dare you to try her currants roll or the Black Forest cakes.. there's nothing that can compare ..
Bought a cake yesterday for my parents anniversary and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! My parents are vegetarians so this bakery was a great option for that. I got a small vanilla cake with mango mousse filling. The cake was really moist and fluffy and not crazy sweet either besides the mousse filling. It was overall really delicious and I will definitely be back!

They asked me what colors I wanted and they were able to customize the color I wanted for the letters as well. I went with the vegan mango mousse flavor which was soooo good! They also have other bakery items that are available for sale. I couldn't help but get a couple of their other items. Soooo good! Love this place! I used to work in an Italian bakery back in the day and I missed those butter cookies!! I was able to pick up jelly dot cookies and chocolate chips. They were so so good! The best purchase was definitely the rainbow cookies. They are absolutely to DIE FOR! Please please get these while you're there. Can't wait to return.
I was looking for a cake to celebrate my fiancé's birthday and to make it a bit special . After some recommendations, I contacted Rose Valley Cakes . They did an amazing job implementing my vision and the cake tasted amazing ! Everyone was impressed!! I was so holy everything came out perfectly! Highly recommend this place for any event big or small !

A 5 star experience. The owner Kamla was very nice and helpful! It was my father's birthday, and I decided to be more adventurous and have him (and us) try the mango cake. It was an absolute hit. We were all very happy with the decision. I'll be returning! It was flavorful without it being overwhelmingly sweet, plus it was moist.

Stunning cake made by rose valley cakes for my head nurse's retirement party at Bellevue Hospital. I showed the owner my cake topper that I made and he knew exactly how to design a cake that not only tasted amazing but also complimented the theme and vision I had for this event. This is the third time I am using this company for a major event and they never disappoint me. Thank you to Balbinder the owner who is always professional and friendly. I always feel like family when I step into his bakery. Thank you once again They also did my wedding cake included in these photos which matched perfectly with my decor and was everything I envisioned it to be. The cake tasted amazing as always so much so that my husband decided to feed himself a few times LOL. I think the photos speak for themselves when it comes to how delicious it was. read more

This is the best Vegan cake I have ever had. My wedding was scheduled for April 2020 but had to postpone due to the pandemic. We decided to do the wedding in August and with just 2 weeks Kamal made time to make my beautiful cake. The cake had to change to accommodate the smaller crowd. I can't say enough about this cake! It exceeded my expectations, Kamla knew what I wanted and she more than delivered. It was beautiful and tasted even better!!! A week later and the cake was still yummy! We are saving the top layer for 1 year Anniversary but it may not last that long haha. Again, Kamla thank you so much for making my gorgeous and delicious cake. I'll also post a picture ( when I figure out how to do it), it's red with gold trim and an indian bride and groom on the cake. read more

Rose Valley Cakes are my preferred bakery, whether I need something for a celebration or just to satisfy my sweet tooth. It is hands-down the best vegan bakery I've ever tried. No matter what design you request, they never fail to amaze! Mrs. Kamla, the head baker, knows precisely what she's doing. Her cakes are so soft and moist that with every bite, it just melts in your mouth. I would recommend them over and over again, no matter what. Rose Valley has made all of my cakes for the past three years of being in New York, as well as all of my wedding festive cakes! Their staff is an added plus to your experience when you first enter. With every visit, I always try to get two cake pops and a rainbow cookie! They are the bakery you don't want to pass up! read more

Hands down THE best vegan cake I've ever had. Each time I enter this pleasantly sweet aroma bakery, I bring home a delicious, fluffy cake. I discovered this place through yelp, bookmarked it and honestly had forgotten about it. It wasn't until we were celebrating my grandma's birthday where she had requested a vegan cake that I remembered this place. So me and my bff decided to give this place a shot. We both walked in skeptical, not really expecting much. However, the owner was extremely confident in his cakes that he had us try it after we bought several slices. We got the mango and oreo vanilla slice and let me tell you... we were absolutely blown away. Even my bff, who wasn't a vegan, was astonished by the possibility of an eggless, dairy free cake tasting even better than a regular cake. Seriously shocking. Each layer of the fresh cream filled sponge cake was so fluffy and moist. We opted for the strawberry cake because it was the most decorated. Needless to say, my grandma and family enjoyed the cake. We also decided to come back and get a cake for the Lunar New Year and it was a major hit with my extended family. Omg i have been searching for years for an egg free bakery for my daughter. I finally discovered Rose valley cakes this year 2017 for her birthday. Every year my daughter had to watch her guess eat her birthday cake and she could not due to egg and peanut allergy . This was her first year finally eating cake . I tear up as I write this review . People don't know how much families go through that have children with allergies. Rose valley cakes had great customer service . They gave me every detail my 10 year old wanted for her dream birthday cabbage patch rainbow cake . The cake was delicious and so beautiful. It took years but I was meant to become your customer . With this whole pandemic going on, I had a sweet tooth for something sweet. This is literally the only place in Queens within my area that sells vegan desserts. I was suprised that they had reopened so quickly. I purchased the Vanilla Chocolate Slice. My only complaint that these were sliced smaller than when I have purchased in the past. Can't believe it's taken me about a year to write this review, blame it on the #mommybrain - Rosevalley Cakes truly delivered the ultimate unicorn vegan cake at my little one's 1st birthday party! Guests still rave about how delicious it was. The decoration of the cake was on point and better than I could have imagined, my little one couldn't contain herself and went straight for the icing as we posed for pictures. Placing the order and picking up the cake was a smooth process. Best value for money, wish I'd ordered some cupcakes from them too and given them out in lieu of goodie bags, perhaps for the next birthday, which is next month ack! read more

Rose Valley is our favorite bakery! We order all of our cakes and cupcakes from them, especially for my sons school , they are free of most allergens and being vegan it works out great.
