My Chihuahuas back legs quit working a little bit over a month ago. He has been in a little wheelchair and also been being carried around. His legs finally started working and I noticed that his nails were really long and they were hurting his little toes. This place was getting ready to close and I explained the situation and they agreed to take my dog and help him. I was greeted at the door by a very nice lady and I can't see enough good things about this place. They've seem very friendly and very gentle with the dogs and if I was in need of any grooming in the future or if I could recommend this place I would recommend 1000 times over. A lot of places weren't taking new pets, but after calling a couple places, I saw this one and the good reviews they had and was able to setup an appointment for our 2 huskies 2 weeks head. They were very nice and handled them with care. Loki (black and white one) is a senior, and he has a hard time standing which they were able to work with. He also had a matted tail from sitting on it all the time. And Roxy (white one) had gray dirty fur on her belly that was matted. Now they are both smooth, light, and fluffy! Great place to bring your fur baby. The groomers are the owners so they really do care about their customers and take the time to get to know you and your kiddo. Just Dog has been in this location for 7+ years. After checking in, the groomer (owner) Carolyn came out to ask us about our kiddo and how we wanted him groomed. She was very gentle and you could tell she really cared. The grooming was done in two hours which is great. I prefer this over some places that keep your fur baby for hours but most of the time they are just waiting for their turn to get trimmed. My kiddo doesn't want to be at the groomer longer than he has to so if you want a place to babysit, this place isn't it. I am so happy to find a place for my kiddo's grooming for years to come. I had to cancel an appointment with my dog in 2022. I was told once I rescheduled I'd be given an additional fee for canceling. Which is fine. But since I didn't immediately reschedule(maybe for months after) they won't take me in at all. Front desk manager is incredibly rude. I got shamed for having certain gear on my dog. The groomer herself is amazing. Business ruined by whoever answers the phone. And even after these two years I've still recommended clients over to this business. But got rudely rejected trying to get an appointment. I'll ensure I never send people this way ever again. read more

The man that runs the counter is named Mathew. He is very kind and friendly. His partner always looks in a bad mood. Not friendly. I took my dog there for a couple of services. I came back early with a friend. She has dogs so she wanted to ask about services too. We heard a dog screaming in the back. This high pitch sound went on for an entire minute. We were alarmed. I looked at my friend and said is that my dog!? I asked because I had never heard him scream before. The gal/owner came out and I asked was that my dog. She had a sly smile in her eyes and said oh yeah he got wet and I was trying to dry his butt. At no time do I request ANY services where he should be wet. My dog LOVES a nice bath so I give him his grooming care at home. He SCREAMED FOR AN ENTIRE MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was trying not to lose my cool or cry. After spending a ridiculous amount ($60) to groom my 5 pound yorkie every 1-2 months up at the Lake, I stumbled upon this place a little less than a year now and absolutely LOVE them! Carolyn is a very sweet and attentive groomer. After having an injury at her last groomer (sliced a good size chunk off of her paw pad during hair trimming) which resulted in an emergency vet visit. I was very hesitant to take her to a new groomer. Ivy gets groomed fairly often and I always feel leave her at Just Dogs feeling 100% comfortable that she is in the best hands. We had a walk in nail session , and usually it takes a while to even get him calmed down and final on the table,, not here , they handled him perfectly ,didnt take his guff and within a few minutes , i had my English Bulldog back and it was a wonderful job, his nails were in terrible shape, but the cleaned them up and gave me advise for shampoos and other things. What once was a very good grooming salon has gone downhill fast. They don't seem to care about the well-being of my babies anymore. Saying that they'd trimmed their nails when it was obvious that they hadn't and then asking me for photographic proof of my claim! They called me a liar (in so many words) they never apologized even when they'd done something wrong. In fact, Carolyn blamed me for her not cutting their nails! I'm not kidding! My beloved boys had gotten to the point where it would take me 10 minutes to get one of them inside of the salon because I now realize that they had become terrified of going in there and none were excited to go there anymore, not since Tammy left ...and then Carolyn charged me a late fee in a cold and indifferent manner and during my dogs escape attempt, he almost got hit by a car in the parking lot! That is REAL FEAR. I'd never take my dogs here again because I don't trust them! I have a samoyed pup who I've had people messed up before. So I'm pretty leery when people tell me they can groom her no problem. I called and talked to Carolyn, she was super sweet, but I knew not to judge till I got my fluffy marshmallow back from the appointment. Both owners were working today as they fit my pittie Shelly in last minute for a full service grooming to include nails, shampoo, ear cleaning and gland expression. I sat in the little lobby area within earshot of my dog during the service and never once heard my dog in distress. She came out smelling of lemon and oatmeal shampoo with her tail wagging! The way they treat the animals is most important- so don't be fooled by a fancier salon that treats your pooch like cattle. Pacer gets separation anxiety when I leave him, but when I come back to pick him up he's all relaxed, clean, happy and looking GOOD! Just Dogs is a lot busier now and need at least a week's lead time to get him in, but they've cared for my dog so well I find the wait is worth it! Every time I've visited them, the owners have put their profits to good use as the place has always changed. A new paint job to the waiting area, new treats to try, and lastly...a "park-like" entrance complete with park bench outside their entrance. Your hard work has been noticed. I have been taking my cocker spaniel/german shepherd mix for nearly 3 years, Carlyn has been great about taking care of our dog in the past. But on 6/04/2018, my experience was disappointing; Recently the business is co-run by a man who works along side with Carlyn (maybe a boyfriend/husband). This person was NOT friendly and did not project a welcoming vibe. He mentioned while picking up Lola (after the grooming was finished)that due to the extra efforts needed to care for certain breeds and it was not fair to the groomers to incur the extra work, that the next time we come, the price will increase. He mentioned that there was a sign posted on the premises, but we did not notice such a sign.....He did not bother to ask if we wanted to re-schedule a future appointment, and kept our shampoo that we always give them to bathe Lola....It almost seemed as if they were trying to get rid of us as a client, maybe because grooming our dog ( Lola)is no-longer profitable for them..... I understand that they have a small business, but they need to work on retaining their long time customers....We will be looking into taking our dog and our business elsewhere....... read more

Ever since we discovered this place a year ago, we have never been disappointed! We have a Poodle and an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie, and every time we pick them up, they are always so happy! We usually get our dogs fully shaved, and sometimes they'll leave their tails poofy, but if you aren't happy with that, they gladly take them to the back and clean them up real quick. They also usually only have the dogs for a couple hours max! I have been to a couple other places in the area that will keep your pets all day, which always worries me because of the stress of being locked up and they need their potty breaks! I will never go anywhere else! I just wish they did cats too *hint hint* :) read more
