Best daycare for my doggies. They always want to return back. Staff are so nice and helpful!

Our two dogs were groomed for the third time at Animal Oasis. My daughter and I were pleased until this last visit with them. Our precious fourteen year old female was called beautiful and had pics taken of passerby's. When we picked her up after her being there for three hours or more ( every visit the same amount of time ) we just wanted to get them home. With her we noticed immediately her " beautiful fan tail " was no more. Her hind leg had been shaved to the bone. The shaver got away from one of their employees and that employee was not honest enough to report it. And if it was reported to his or her employer when we picked up our precious dog the incident was ignored and she was handed over to us like nothing ever happened. Now, a few months later she still has the large bald spot on the back of her hind leg where no hair has grown.. Her tail is completely butchered it hasn't grown out to its " beautiful fan wave" for a Collie after all this time. " I cant imagine what she was put through" being there! Our two year old male dog the most loving ever had his face completely missed his beard went over his lip. I trimmed it myself. I'm grateful our male dog hadn't gone through the trauma our precious female had gone through. I personally feel that someone there ( management) should be taking responsibility by checking while dogs are being groomed by ( newbies ) or any employee in any manner. I feel my female dog was left with a newbie and was not given the attention to this employee that he or she needed with managing. My daughter and I were under the impression that the woman that met us outside( same woman that groomed twice before ) asked how we'd like their grooming taken care of would be the one attending to both our dogs we trusted her grooming since she had done both our dogs twice before and we were happy with their outcome We had made recommendations to friends about Animal Oasis.We put our trust in the woman who greeted us who seemed interested in our concerns towards their grooming. This business failed my dogs and us. We should have looked at the grooming before paying the $100.00 per dog and not given the tips. I've never had to write up a complaint I waited hoping my female dog would grow her beautiful hair back to its original shape " Not" ! The Animal Oasis deserves this complaint. If you go to Animal Oasis after my complaint ask questions like who will be attending fully to my animal and look carefully after the work has been completed to your satisfaction before tipping. Get names, your dog is part of your loving family and should be treated like so. read more

The facility has a friendly atmosphere, and everything felt organized and professional during my visit. It's clear they put effort into making pets comfortable. My 5 lb Yorkie absolutely loves coming to Animal Oasis! She gets so excited every time we pull into the parking lot--it's clear she feels safe and happy here. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I really appreciate the curbside pickup, and they always greet my dog Fendi by name before I even say it. One of the things I love most is that they separate the dogs by size, which gives me peace of mind knowing she's playing with pups her own size. My only suggestion would be to add a camera or some way to see the dogs playing during the day--that would be such a fun bonus. We went there a last month for grooming. It was a good experience. Took 2 hours & was $60. Went back and it was like a different place. The woman with long dark hair was rude. It took an hr longer than we were told and we got charged SUPRISE! an additional $10 than the time before. Such a shit experience. read more

I am blown away by how great this place is! The same staff for many years, tells you a lot about the owner Nikki and the passion the staff have for their jobs! I brought my first Doodle to Oasis for years until he injured his back jumping on our bed. He loved it! After an extended break we recently brought our new doodle Sully and it's so incredibly awesome to see it's a lot of the same great staff and some new wonderful people. Nothing better than seeing your furry family member SUPER excited to arrive at the car park and to be told the had a hard time catching him because he did not want to leave! It's truly a Doggie Paradise. Not once have I worried about leaving my dogs there. Nikki expects absolute kindness from her staff. We've been taking our puppy to Animal Oasis for over a year now and we have zero complaints. We've boarded him during the day while we're at work, we've had him groomed there and occasionally over night when we've had to go out of town. Their fast, respectful, and very nice to talk with. If you know you're going to need your puppy boarded for more than a day or two, they have discounts if you buy blocks of days. For example, we usually pay for a 10 day block for the work week. Those days are not scheduled, you use them whenever you want. When we brought our puppy in the first time, they had us leave him there for 3 hours to see what his temperament is like because they want to make sure they aren't going to bite other animals or people. They don't allow customers inside their shelter so if you're going there during non-peak hours, you might have to call them to let them know you're outside, but they're usually really quick so you won't have to wait too long (usually only a minute or so). My wife and highly recommend Animal Oasis for your puppy (I think they board cats too but you'll want to ask them). read more

This place, the workers always seem miserable and you always have to wait outside. Meh, but they do a great job grooming!

I'm thrilled with this place. I have a huge standard doodle and usually it takes 4 hours to groom her and they did it in 2.5. They also only charged me $100 and I'm coming from California so I'm used to paying close to $200 and I think for how complex a doodles coat is, that's an incredible price. The groomer, Kendra, was SO nice. Everyone was so nice. They also gave her the cutest bandana I've ever seen. I arrived quite late because I wasn't expecting she'd be done so fast and they were also really understanding. Great people and I'll absolutely be back. read more

Every time I pick up the dog from Animal Oasis after an overnight stay, she is happy and clean (bath requested) and perky. The directions on the front door are to stay in the car and call for your dog to be brought to you. The staff is friendly, caring, professional and proficient. Service is excellent. The place is at a convenient location with ample parking. Before Covid, one could go in to drop off and pick up. Inside is clean and spacious. read more

I have taken my dog here several times for grooming. Since he is a border collie mix, he doesn't need anything fancy, but they do a very good job with his basic bath, deshedding brush out, and a bit of a trim on his back legs and butt. The oatmeal bath also helps with his sensitive skin. He never seems stressed, so they obviously take good care of him. read more

I took my golden retriever in for grooming, they were very busy when we arrived. I did a regular grooming session and I added a sanitary clip, I wish I did not add this treatment on for my dog. He has been very very itchy and uncomfortable since the day he got it. He constantly is licking and is slightly raw from either the clipper irritation. The groomers got him in and out within an hour and a half so very grateful. I just wanted to post this not to bash on them but to inform the sanitary clip may just cause irritation for a dog with already sensitive skin. read more

My Wife discovered this four legged kid school September of 2019. Since last year we have been dropping our 85 pound Rottweiler Brooklyn off once a week for day care. The prices are great for a full day of play, and it allows our beloved furry children the exercise and socializing skills that dogs need. The ladies that work at the south Reno location are without a doubt some of the most trust worthy, and loving dog people I've every been around. There is no doubt in my mind that our baby Brooklyn is not only loved, cared for, and played with like she is one of their own dogs. I think Nikki is the owner and she is exceptional with the dogs. We have boarded both our Rottie and 9 pound Carter bear for multiple days at this doggie paradise. I highly recommend this business if your pup is in need of some learning, play, fun, or you just need a little break away from your drool monster Animal O is a must. On a side note, last week Brooklyn came home from Animal O and told me the pups all voted to watch the Tiger King series after lunch. I had to educate my confused furdaughter by reassuring her Joe Exotic was a mythological creature and from another planet. She agreed that Joe was actually head over boots in love with Carol Baskin. Our dogs are happy little people when they come and go here. The employees here are very friendly and take great care of our pups especially the owner. You can tell she's a real dog lover and from day one (many months ago) has taught Brooklyn little things here and there, always making her sit for her treats. I know Carter sometimes gets held by the employees which he absolutely loves, when he's not the easiest to love himself. Since we moved to the south side back in September 2019 I was nervous about finding a new home away from home for our beloved fur babies, but I'm so happy to say this is it. Thank you Animal O for the great care you've provided and so happy you didn't have to stay closed too long for Covid because you are absolutely essential for those of us also in an "essential" field for a way to help our babies get their energy out while we still have to be at work. We brought our dog in today for a hair cut and nail cut. This is the third time we have been here with him. When we came to pick him up his haircut is jacked! He has lines all over his body, the tech gauged his neck, he has patches of long hair all over him. The hair on his face and head are messed up. We have never had a bad experience here until today.
