We have been taking our dogs here for years. We love the location and of course, our favorite groomer is Demi. We usually make our appointment online and then bring in our dog. We drop our dog off at the designated time. Then we get a phone call telling us when she is ready to be picked up. Demi is very loving and kind. Our dog Quinn also gets her nails cut at the same time. There is a list of items you can choose. She always looks so beautiful after her haircut. The funny thing too, is that she prances around after her haircut. Kind of like look how cute and pretty I am. LOL This location is inside the Sparks Crossing Shopping Center in Spanish Springs. Autumn the groomer shaved our dog including her tail siting she had stickers. Her whole body did NOT have stickers nor was she matted all over including her haunches. It may take up to a year for our Goldendoodle to get her feathers back and her face is messed up plus her tail was cut, she started bleeding but we did not find where blood was coming from around our house for a day. I had scheduled a pet grooming appt for our youngest 3yr old dog and had chosen 2 packages totaling $104. This was our first time bringing our youngest into Petsmart groomers. He doesn't need appts as often as our other 2 dogs, but he was starting to shed alot with his dual coat. Our other groomer of 12 yrs always knew what to do for his dual coat, but raised prices so high it was no longer affordable to take our 3 dogs; so, my husband and I had questions and showed pictures of what cut we wanted. The young lady checking us in kept scoffing at each question before answering. About an hour later my husband gets a call to come pick up our dog. He goes in and a different groomer checks him out. My husband notices our dog hasn't been bathed, cut, etc. The lady said there wasnt anything she could do other than relay then notes left by the groomer who worked on him. The groomer's notes said our dog was just too hyper and that she could not perform all the services but that we still had to pay the full $104 price plus a $5 surcharge. My husband asked to see the groomer that worked on him. She comes out and instead of explaining when questioned, she said she had to go to break and walked off. My husband asked for a manager but none were available. He paid and brought our dog home. In checking what was done only visible thing was our dogs nails were clipped and he was wearing the bandana and had been given the toy from the summer package purchased. So we paid $109 for a nail clipping, bandana, and a toy. Our dog was supposed to be bathed with special deshedding shampoo, his hair cut (like the picture), special furminator package, teeth brushed, plus additional services. None of which were done. Each time I've called and or went in to the store to figure out what happened there is never a manager available. The ladies in the grooming dept are not able to help in anyway and the groomer who worked on my dog is always off or not available. We will never bring any of our 3 dogs to Petsmart again. My son and his wife are no longer going to take their 2 dogs either. I will never recommend Petsmart groomers to anyone. 0 out of 10 experience. read more

I have a 150 lb. Newfoundland who, although is a sweetheart, doesn't exactly enjoy sitting still for hours on end. He doesn't love being washed or get his haircut and moves around an awful lot. So I know he is a bit of a pain for the groomers, but Jenni did an absolutely incredible job. His looks the best I've ever seen, and she was so kind to both of us even though she just spent three hours wrestling a bear haha. Really love that this one is close to our place! Makes having to go here, or dropping our baby off for a grooming really easy. Their grooming prices are reasonably priced and they do a decent job. I just don't like that sometimes, I pay extra for nail grinding and they don't do a very good job with that part. The nail cutting also, isn't very good. So sometimes, I just end up doing it myself back at home. They do a very good job cleaning and washing him though. They also need to work on drying my dog more. I've gotten him back a few times where he was still very damp. Otherwise, all the workers are very nice and friendly! They really do their best to help you and answer any of your questions :) They also have affordable dog training classes. They were fun for both husband and I, and our dog. It's a great way to socialize your dog with other dogs. I just wish we did more training back at home! He did remember a handful of the commands though! This review is for the grooming department. I scheduled a bath/brush online for my German Shepherd mix, Sulley. The scheduling was easy & I got an appt for him the following day. Sulley had professional grooming before at another place, but he didn't love the experience. I have to say I was very impressed with these lovely gals at Petsmart grooming. Yesterday, I met with Jenni & gave her Sulley's shot record. She was very friendly & personable and gave Sulley some loving pets. Today, when I took Sulley in for his appt, I saw Jenni again & the very nice groomer, Shay. Shay was amazing. She got to know Sulley a bit & looked him over, gave him some affectionate pets, & she talked very soothing to him to put him at ease. That was very impressive to me. I've always just had the groomer take my pup in the back, without trying to calm his nerves. Shay took extra time with Sulley & she used sensitive skin shampoo & conditioner on my little man. I was very pleased when I picked up my fresh & clean pup! Thank you Shay & Jenni for making Sulley's first experience at Petsmart grooming a very pleasant one. I was treated so poorly by Susan and the store manager at Petsmart that I've switched to ordering all of my dog and cat food from Chewy's. It costs about 15% less than I was paying at Petsmart and it's waiting for me on my doorstep when I get home! Outstanding, incredible, amazing, astonishing! Every two weeks like clock work, I purchase at least 60 containers of wet food spending approximately $150, load them into my vehicle, drive home, unload and repeat. Now I remember exactly why I quit Petsmart all those years ago and have quit them again. Yes, quit is also an adjective now and not just a verb! I'm thrilled by this. I was treated so rudely and poorly that I called customer service on the spot, standing near the checkout stand, at 9:00p after having been at work since 7:00 a.m. and asked to be contacted by a district manager. It's been over two weeks and I haven't heard a thing from anyone. Nothing. There is simply too much outstanding competition in the pet food industry these days to be so dismissive and indifferent Petsmart! Haven't you noticed?!? Customer service is everything now. Do you care? Goodbye Petsmart, I won't miss you but you'll miss my 300 dollars every month. That's $3600 a year just on food! RUDE GROMMER. DON'T ANSWER THEIR SURVEY. First to say if you read the reviews here, many of the low ratings are about the grooming rather than the store. Our problem is now with the Groomer. All was going "ok" with dog grooming. Not great, but nothing to complain about. We get a survey to ask about the service. We made a simple suggestion, not a complaint. It was to please be careful about the lifting of our pet as she has a serious heart condition, on medication and when lifting under the center of the dog, it causes great pain and she yelps. It isn't the best way to lift a dog anyway. Grooomer continues to forget or ignore. The next thing we know after answering the survey is the groomer "Paula" called on the phone and said "I'm cancelling your next appointment with your dog because you don't like my service!" Then quickly and abruptly hangs up. How rude, considering there was no complaint about the service; simply a suggestion. Paula needs to be in a job where she doesn't have to interface with people since she doesn't know how to do it. I called and spoke to a man whom was in theory the manager and was nice on the phone, understanding, and said he would talk to the groomer manager. Never heard anything after that. The bad part for PetSmart is that since we have not need to go there for grooming anymore that we are not making any special trips to buy supplies. So it hurts their main business. We started buying from Chewy.com and found it to be cheaper and simpler. Things are delivered to us for free. read more

It was all about my pet today and we ended our Elsie & me day here. She needed food, wanted special treats and toys. We found everything we were looking for and decided to shop around. The Halloween and winter apparel are already out. They have very nice things. Some a little pricey some not so much. They have a really good sale at the end of each season. I am glad to see that they keep expanding the food options and are increasingly stocking on natural good quality products. The store is always clean and the service is efficient. They usually have only one register open but if there is more than one person in line they immediately open another one. Sometimes they hand out a treat at the exit. This place is very convenient. I had just adopted a rescue Purebred Golden Retriever who had lived outside for the last month and a half in a dirt fenced in area. He had about 5 or 6 mats in his fur, they weren't real big. The first thing the girl who looked at him did was reach for the chart that shows how short they shave dogs hair. She says he is going to have to be completely shaved! I asked why, she said because of the mats if we don't shave him there will be blotches of hair shaved where the mats are! I said no don't shave him! I don't want him completely shaved, all you have to do his shave off the mats! Well, needless to say she wasn't happy with my answer! She then says we'll there's going to be an additional charge since we'll have to comb him. I said that's fine but I absolutely do not want him shaved! She was rude and they didn't want to take the extra step in actually combing him out and just shaving off the mats. I will never take him there again! He is only 16 months old and has a beautiful coat. I would ever recommend for anyone to take there dog there. I really thought that since he was a rescue she would have been a little more compassionate! Since you can't give them a zero star I had to give them one star, and it's one to many! read more

Petsmart Groomers are the worse! I had several bad experiences with them in other locations like my dog getting mites! Petsmart has a long history of not cleaning their combs and brushes so if this happens to you, expect big vet bills and an awful inconvenience! This location has a very poor manager who traumatized my poor lab. He came home shaking from abuse and it took hours to complete a simple wash. When I complained the manager blamed my very friendly dog for "misbehaving"! I was stunned there wasn't any I am sorry, or let me listen to you or I know how you feel. My sweet lab doesn't misbehave, the groomer most likely was rough with him. I felt horrible my doggy was so abused and then The Management was rude and critical and simply Mean to me!!! I am disgusted and will never ever return ! I hope you don't either! read more

We brought our dog, Shiro, in to get groomed and found out that while they do advertise walk-in service, it specifically means that if they have an opening you can walk in and drop off your dog for service. We were told 3-4 hours for a grooming, and nail cutting. 4.5 hours, we were handed Shiro back to us. She did a terrific dog, except for a little uneven hair on his ears. At $60 for the service, we will most likely be bringing him back for future grooming. read more

I had a great experience with PetSmart grooming in Sparks, NV. I used Chelsea and everything went so well. They are kind, compassionate, and great at their jobs. The dog trainer at this location is amazing. My 6 month old puppy completed the beginner class. He had more confidence, learned to interact with other dogs as well as the sit, focus, down, take it, leave it, drop it, walk better on a leash, and emergency recall. Christine Prichard, the trainer, really knows how to relate to the dogs and controls the class well So impressed by her that I immediately signed up my pup for intermediate & advanced class. read more

I really have to give this PetSmart location some credit! Most of my dogs are on Purina Proplan though the actual diet differs between dogs (I have seven dogs - four different ProPlan diets). Normally we order through Chewy.com as they deliver to our door in two days. However, with the current events, they were out of the Proplan food that I needed. Petsmart had one bag in stock at this store location, and I was able to order the other one for delivery in 2-5 days. The price was comparable to Chewy.com. I received an email letting me know the order was ready. Today as I was preparing to go pick it up, I received an email that said it had been picked up (not the case). I called and spoke to Ryan who assured me the food was there, and that the computer may have glitched and sent the second email in error. I arrived and took advantage of their curbside pickup option...I parked, called the store, gave Ryan my name and description of my car, and he brought it right out and placed it in my trunk! He verified my ID and I was on my way! So easy! Thank you, Ryan, for being so pleasant and helpful! I have also brought my dog, Remi, here for training. They did a great job with his hyper Husky self! He is much more behaved now though still all Husky! There were a couple changes in trainers while Remi was in the program, but they worked with our schedule. Any time we go in the store the employees are always friendly and helpful. They love our dogs and give them treats. The store is clean and usually well stocked. I highly recommend this location for your pet needs! read more

I've gone multiple times and been told that I don't have any points to redeem but I know that I do because my account shows that I do. Today I showed the cashier my account, so she asked the manager if she can go ahead and give me the points. The manager said no... which I couldn't believe because I was literally showing them my account on my phone. I don't know the managers name because he never introduced himself to me. But he was tall, thin and had grey/white hair. He was terribly rude and no help at all. I don't appreciate being treated that way and will not be returning to that location. I've been bringing my 3 older dogs here at Petsmart Los Altos and didn't have a problem. Now that I have 2 5-months old puppies, I've been having issues with them. First I bought my dog with a severe pee stain and I was assured by one of them that they can take it out but they were not able to, then they charge my babies as adults when they're only 5 months and then they charged my short hair baby as a long hair adult dog! It's like what's wrong with these people. My babies are getting their first pro grooming and getting charged as adults? I was happy with them before but very disappointed lately. I can't rate this place on their grooming center or training classes, because my pet has never attended. The five stars are for the amazing selection of products and the quality of their staff. I went to Petco the other day, and even though the two are similar in size, their product selection is very different! (Petco has a horrible toy/ clothing/ harness selection.) This place is also very clean! I go to this Petsmart, partly because it is close to my house, but also because my pet and I always have a wonderful experience here. The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful with any questions or concerns I may have.We go here a couple times a month to get new toys and treats. Made appointment on Monday to have our dog's hair cut ($75.00), appointment was scheduled for Friday. The day before the appointment (Thursday) they called and said they overbooked and tried to re-schedule for the next week. I explained that he needed to be groomed prior to our event on Sunday. They agreed to honor the original appointment the next day (Friday). We dropped him off at 9:00AM and they stated they would call when they were done in 4 to 5 hours. They called 2 hours later and said they couldn't cut his hair because "He jumped when he heard the clipper" When came to pick him up they gave us a bill for $45.00. They said it was because they gave him a bath. We brought him in for a haircut, not a bath. If they couldn't do the job we brought him in for they should have called to ask if we wanted to have them give him a bath for $45.00 The answer would have been NO! They would not give us our dog until we paid them $45 for the bath we did not ask for. Beware of this place and their unethical business practices read more

I've taken my dog here multiple times. I have a Siberian husky which we know sometimes they can be difficult. But each time we get their highest package which is almost $80. At times he looks great when we pick him up but most of the time they tell us they couldn't complete everything. We still pay full price. This last time they called us to pick him up because they couldn't dry him. So we took him home wet and he still has quite a bit of fur coming off him. We'll be trying out another place seeing if we find a better result for our dog. read more
