They also had great reviews on Yelp, so we thought why not? It was super easy to order as well. Street Food Finder is an awesome tool to order from any food truck on certain times/days depending on location. We ordered a few minutes before 6 since we were really hungry (hours tonight were 6-8 pm). The website kept me updated on when the food would be ready - I received a text as soon as the food was ready. I had a Jalapeños Bacon Burger with tator tots, my husband had the Ultimate Buffalo Chicken with Fried Pickles. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious! Wow!! Y'all for 11.50 I got a double burger with HAND CUT fries, yes I'm boujie, when it comes to potato's and these fries are legit! Not over salted, but just right! I never normally order a double burger but now that I have a food loving babe, I have to share and I normally don't! Lol! My son got some of a patty, bread, and yummy fries, I even let him have ketchup for the first time! I ordered the BBQ burger and my husband got the Jalapeño one! Both delish! Frank and I are grateful to have had Chef Chris cater our wedding reception in September of 2018. Since we live in Virginia and were unable to fly down to Charleston for tastings, we reached out to Chef Chris based on his online reviews. Thank goodness for the reviews! They were on point. Chef Chris was extremely professional and his food was amazing. Not only did Chef Chris provide the catering, but he also was the point person for my table, chairs, and linen rental and the bar service. Having Chef Chris as the point person was a life saver, giving me a single point of contact for multiple moving parts! Our wedding reception was held at out of town and very casual yacht club. It was a bit of a schlep from Charleston (about a 40 minute drive) and didn't have a freezer. Chef Chris brought *everything* he needed, including an ingenious way to keep ice cream without a freezer on site (not sure how he did it, but I assume I would have been impressed). His staff was terrific and multiple guests said the bar service staff was also wonderful. The food was perfect! We had the low-country boil and it was AMAZING! The shrimp were HUGE and the corn was crisp, potatoes were perfect, and the sausage was bursting. We also had pulled pork on soft buns, as well as salad and green beans. No wedding cake - we went with apple cobbler. All my guests commented on the food, during and after the wedding reception. Serving large groups is always a challenge, but Chef Chris made it seamless and so flavorful! Frank and I strongly recommend booking Chef Chris! I coordinated with Chef Chris of Just Eat This! to provide a private chef service for a bachelorette party I planned in Charleston in July 2017. He was very responsive throughout the planning process and was very fairly priced - much less than what we would have spent going out for a similar quality dinner in Charleston! There were twelve girls (including one vegetarian) and Chef Chris did a wonderful job of preparing, plating and cleaning up the three different (and delicious) courses which included the following: Appetizers: Fried Chicken & Waffles Pimento cheese dip Entree: Sliced beef tenderloin Brussels sprouts Mashed potatoes Roasted vegetables for the one vegetarian Dessert: Southern peach cobbler with ice cream Chef Chris was faced with cooking in a very small kitchen in the house we had rented and the air conditioning went out right before he arrived. Be warned - it is a lot of food. You'll walk away with a very full belly, but it's so worth it. The menu for J.E.T. looked really good and I was craving some spice in my life so I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with fries; I wish I had gotten the fried pickles as my side, they looked delicious. Chef Chris did an unbelievable job on an in home catering job that I hired him for this past weekend in Folly Beach. I was organizing an out of town Bachelorette party for a group of young women on a "night in" and couldn't have been more pleased. Chris had provided me with a contract and lots of help on a menu choice months prior to our event. All 6 girls absolutely loved all of the delicious appetizers ( they were in all actuality large plate portions) and we have been raving about him since! We just got married last weekend, and we don't have words to express the impact Chris and his staff had on our wedding. You know how every now and then, you come across food that's SO FREAKIN' YUMMY you keep thinking about it later? Yeah, that's what I experienced when I ate food from the Just Eat This! food truck. We hit them up at Saturday's food truck rodeo. Although the place was packed, my friend got food from Just Eat This! in a shorter amount of time than I did in another food truck's line. By the time I finally caught up with her and got settled, the food from Just Eat This! was already cooled down. REGARDLESS that was some ridiculously good eating!!! She got the chicken & waffles and the poutine. She mentioned the gravy for the chicken & waffles cooled off pretty quick. All I know is that dish was delicious, with a surprisingly sweet but perfect flavor profile. It was maybe one of the best chicken & waffles I've ever eaten. Definitely the best I've had in a while. Now the real star though was that poutine. I've eaten authentic poutine while in Canada a few years back. If any place in Charleston serves poutine, I want to try! I tried the Southern General's, which people seem to like, but thought it was just okay. The poutine from Just Eat This!.... oh my.... dangerously, sinfully, amazingly delicious. Beef short rib, french fries that you can tell were fresh, cheese curds, gravy... so much goodness. Even cold I couldn't help going back for another bite while half of another truck's dish sat untouched. Because I was booking from out of town I was a little nervous about the experience, but I must say I was extremely impressed with Chris and his assistant. They showed up to our home on time and had the food ready exactly one hour post arrival. He was able to cater to the variety of different tastes and allergies in our group and the food was wonderful, though he was a little quite and didn't interact too much with the group (though we are a loud group and he had a lot going on). The items we picked for our meal was the beef tenderloin (highly recommend), potatoes, goat cheese salad, and a granola style ice cream compote (wasn't as impressed with this). Presentation was good and food was good but nothing amazing. We asked for him to make his most popular dishes and I honestly felt like he chose the easiest/cheapest. Veggies with a balsamic dip, hummus with pita and spinach artichoke dip with bread. To me, those are very simple easy things I could have made. Fried chicken, cheese biscuits and among other things, a shrimp appetizer that disappeared in minutes! I have eaten in alot of places and have had tons of burgers, I have never had a burger this GOOD. I will put them up against Husk anyday. It is juicy, done to perfection and whatever you want on it's there. the burgers are HUGE, so make sure you don't eat all day. I order the burger slider and that is big as well. Lettuce, tomato and yummy. The sweet potato fries are to die for, just perfect. Couldnt ask for a better burger. They do have plenty of other items on their menu not just burgers and I have no doubt it's all just as good. it was recently sold and we were concerned that once it had been sold that it would not be the same but IT'S STILL THE BEST EVER. I booked him far in advance for my best friend's August bachelorette party in Charleston, and he was super easy to work with in discussing the menu, dietary restrictions, etc, and had some great recommendations as well. He was very professional and you could tell he had a passion for his work. Chef Chris arrived at our Airbnb house rental early and well prepared, and he got to cooking away while the ladies enjoyed some wine and relaxed. We opted to do a very Southern food-heavy family-style heavy hors-d'oeuvres meal and it was absolutely perfect in every way. Standouts included the pimento cheese, crab dip, shrimp & grits, chicken and waffles, tuna wonton crisps (really everything was absolutely delicious). We even ended up with leftovers which came in handy for late night grazing after the bars. Pricing was very reasonable as well with what we received - Chef Chris offers several different meal styles and options; again, he was so so easy to work with (and the ladies loved chatting with him - and his assistant - as he was cooking away). Our foodie bachelorette was very pleased and the rest of the group all raved about Chef Chris the rest of the weekend.
