This place used to be the BEST mom and pop shop. Now it's Amish ran... I spent $23 on four ice creams. Mine dropped off my cone because it was not done right and he went to charge me another $5 for ice cream. I'll never come back here, it's not the same and the service was awful and GREEDY! Two years ago when we first moved to the area, I had the best chicken cheese steak here that I had ever eaten. A bit later Just Mom's changed hands but kept the same menu items and recipes. Several months ago I ordered the chicken cheesesteak but it was much too salty. When I called up to tell them, they said they mix seasoned salt with the meat ahead of time. Unfortunately I forgot about the seasoned salt tonight when we ordered two of my favorite sandwich. It was so salty and peppery that we couldn't even eat half of a sandwich. Hidden gem alert! This place is so deceitful, just sitting on the side of the road from an apple farm in the middle of nowhere. I would always pass by and think nothing of it really, other than the specials sounded tempting that they post on their billboard. I finally stopped in a couple of months ago and was pleasantly surprised! Legit reminded me of a New York Deli back home. Solid selection of deli sandwiches and really good ice cream sandwiches too. I ordered "The Roman" cold and it was so good with the pesto mayo! I've come back several other times and enjoyed all other sandwiches I've had. If you're in the area, pull over and make the stop. Sorry to say, still a 3. Called ahead, food was ready, but still had to stand in line 10min to get it (???). Was REALLY hot in dining room despite wall unit a/c. 20mins' wait for ice cream after our meal. They got multiple orders wrong. They took order and money, then came out with ice cream and despite many parties saying "I got X are you sure that is X?" and assurance from the employee that "yes, this is X" still the pissed off customers were going back up to the window after tasting to say "no, this is Y, which I heard those people order..." and so on. I have never had a bad bite of food that came from Just Mom's. My favorite food there is their hoagie, you simply can't go wrong! But, they have amazing ice cream, pies, cakes, and desserts too! They have typical pizza, cheesesteak fare too. They make homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches in every combination you can imagine. I used to go there before the Amish bought the place. I stopped going after my last visit. My simple lunch took close to a half hour to get to my table and when it finally arrived it was awful. I don't know how you ruin a simple cheeseburger but it was vile. Inedible. It didn't even taste like beef. I don't know what the flavor was, I can't describe it, but if you told me it was horsemeat I would believe you. I took it home and tossed it in the trash. I wouldn't even give it to my dogs. Now it is closed on Sundays too, so if you wanted a nice Sunday milkshake you can't have one. The whole operation feels like they want to lose money for a tax deduction. Just Mom's? So we have been here several times in the past under the previous ownership . We were running errands close by so decided to do a quick pickup order on the ride home. Well they gave my order to the wrong the family . Instead of them offering to quickly fix it and remake our food they called the other number and asked them to bring it back. They told me the other person literally walked out right in front of me and would be back in a minute which is the only reason that i even humored it . Clearly that wasn't the case, I just walked out and left I'm disgusted that they were willing to give out food that had been in someone else's possession .I would steer away . If they're willing to do this in the open I can't imagine what they're doing behind scenes. read more

This place has been around for ages. It's really popular in the summer months for it's ice cream. There aren't many options around for ice cream either. Went here for ice cream in the evening to try it out. Waited in line for a while as the service was really slow. It felt more like a snack bar at the pool with teenagers running the show.... Just moving so slowly! Ordered a twister ice cream and it wasn't good. I'm not sure what was going on with it but it tasted freer burnt. I'm disappointed and can't say I'd go back. I can't speak for for the other food on the menu but it doesn't seem like the healthiest choice or high quality. read more

South of I-76 imbedded in farm fields is this little roadside ice cream shop. It has terrific sandwiches and really good pizza. A nice outdoor seating area on great days and indoor too. The small Anthony's Special Italian is huge at 7 inches. It comes open face because the stuffed ingredients spill out forging you to fold the bread down. We ordered two of these and two slices of delicious saucy, cheesy pizza for just $24. We honestly stopped for ice cream but were too full to get it after lunch. I absolutely love this little spot! I live locally and I can say this is easily the best deli in the area. I highly recommend their hot sandwiches. They have very unique sandwiches along with classics. I personally like their Ruben's, Roman sandwitch and chicken Ceasar wrap. I have never had an issue with rude staff nor long wait times. It's the rolls that make a great steak sandwich. Just Mom's uses rolls from the famous Conshohocken Italian Bakery. Don't let the 1960's exterior fool you about the tasty food that is served here. This storefront is located on Rt 82 near Honey Brook about 4 miles north of the intersection of Rt 82 and Rt 322. I recently stopped by and had a Santa Fe chicken cheese steak that was heavenly. The heaping of chopped chicken, blended with provolone cheese and plenty of jalapenos to step up the heat a bit, were stuffed into a Conshohocken roll had. For a side, I ordered a large french fry with Old Bay. What I didn't expect was the serving size to be able to feed four kids! Just Mom's also serves homemade ice cream and other sweet treats. Stopped in their new location in Elverson. We've only ever had ice cream at their other location so we were excited to try the food. BAD idea. Pizza was awful. You couldn't even cut it with their super flimsy plastic utensils. Asked for my dressing on the side of my salad ...no dressing on the side of my Crouton Salad - literally, all croutons with absolutely no taste. I let the staff know that the food didn't taste well - they then whispered to each other behind the counter making our experience even more uncomfortable. Horrible service and poor management! Stoped I'm for some ice cream and waited at the counter for service for 15min with no one in line ahead of us. Meanwhile, there were two guys working in the back and 1 young girl getting ice cream for a family who had already ordered. The girl walked right by us twice without saying a word or acknowledging us. I expect a "hi, I will be right with you" type comment. Nope, nothing. After 15min with not acknowledgment or service we left. I decided to call and ask for the manager to let them know of our experience. When I called I asked to speak with the Manager and the person who answered said the Manager was there but very busy and asked what this was about. I told him it was regarding poor service...he puts me on hold to talk to his Manager and then returns to tell me his Manager is too busy sorry. Really?? That right there is the reason behind the poor service....because management has no time for their customers and could care less about a complaint about their service! I don't blame the girl making ice cream...it's clearly something she has not been taught and it's due to the horrible management. Will never be back. read more

But tonight I got a chicken parm sandwhich and it was super dry, very little cheese I had to open a jar of my own sauce at home to actually make it taste good which is annoying.
