Last night was my first time at Greenside Grill at the Honeybrook Golf Club. What a perfect night with the peaceful snowfall. The restaurant is beautiful with a very relaxing lodge feel to it. Love all the wood and they had nice Christmas decorations throughout. Our server Maddie was wonderful and had a very upbeat and pleasant attitude. She checked up on us and kept our drinks refilled. The food was the real star of the show. They had wonderful specials that night that were smoked in house. From a smoked cream cheese dip, to smoked chicken tacos, and finally the bbq platter. Me and my Dad ordered Chef Mack's bbq platter to share. It was fantastic. It consisted of smoked mac n cheese with smoke paprika compount butter, baked beans w/ lardons (packed full of meat), ribs that were fall off the bone tender, bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers stuffed with cheese, and finally the burnt end cheddar jalepeno sausage. Chef came to check on us 5 minutes after getting the platter and we had nearly eaten the entire plate! Lol. My Dad had the Greenside burger w/ cheddar and tater tots. I had the Eagle burger w/ truffle fries. Both burgers were massive, flavorful, juicy, fresh veggies, and a great bun & sauces. Tater tots were crisp and tasty. Truffle fries were real winner, crispy and delicious w/ dill aioli for dipping. We finished off the meal with the warm apple blossom, tasty. Coffee and beer were nice Dad reported. I discovered this restaurant by chance while attending a PGA Philadelphia golf event for veterans at the golf zone family fun center, I was looking for a casual yet enjoyable dining spot--and this place delivered. The food and service were excellent. If I had any critique, it would be that there weren't enough staff covering the bar, patio, and indoor seating areas, which made service a bit stretched. However, despite this, the team remained attentive, and my experience was still quite enjoyable. The wine I had was exceptional, the food was outstanding, and the service was impressively prompt given the circumstances. read more

If you are looking for a quiet place to sit enjoy the rolling green landscape then this is the place. The bar/restaurant area gives that English/Sports pub atmosphere. After that not to much to say about the place. Once you get over the fact of walking into ProShop & Golf registration table. The sign says "wait to be seated " and the bar keep yells over,"seat yourself " then there's a few minutes to wait for staff to come to the table. I'm a patient person when it's a busy summer Sunday but other than three people at the bar there was no one else in the room. Staff arrive at the table introducing themselves with no menu or even spoke of special - returned with menu and asked for drink selection. Upon returning with drinks took the order from a brunch menu of minimal selection (5 choices). Returned to check on drinks refresh; brought a full menu and asked if I liked to look at...umm after the order was already placed. The order was for omelette with shredded home fries. The omelette was good but the home fries were not shredded but cubed like out of bag and salted would have been understatement....salt, salt was all you could taste. I couldn't eat them but brought them home to wrap in paper towels to see if could be salvaged. After all the meal was $44.72 for two omelette, two home fries, slice of rye toast, ice tea and a cup of coffee. Felt the prices were high, the staff could use customer service training. We sat on the beautiful patio for lunch this afternoon with their brunch menu. We shared the pumpkin roll burger sliders and some fries. The game was ok 2 TV's outside and the view over the putting green, driving range and course was beautiful. The outdoor fireplace area looks like a good spot to come in cooler weather. Service was friendly and the menu had many options, including a special seasonal cocktail menu. No beer menu but I ordered a hard cider on tap. Would love to come back again. read more

Happy hour drink prices were not put on the receipt! Waitress said they have problems with system. Sounds sus but that's no excuse. Check your receipt before giving to customers therefore having you to re-do it. Chicken sandwich was dry and lousy!! I could have gone to chickfila for better quality. Not worth the price tag on that. I think I counted 11 fries on the plate...supposed to be fresh cut? Not hardly def frozen type! This place needs a better POS system and fresher ingredients in kitchen. read more

Service was slow. Server forgot to put order in for our drink. Then our dinner didn't arrive for an hour and was told it disappeared from the kitchen so they were going to need to make another one for us. About 10 minutes went by and it appeared. Came for brunch the other day while in the area. The food surpassed our expectations! The breakfast tacos and their Honey Brook salad were both fantastic. Service was a little bit slow considering the place was almost entirely empty but not bad enough to knock a star off. Food was delicious, service was amazing (wish we remembered our server's name!), the place was LOUD. A bit pricey but would return if we happened to be in the area. We got the tuna poke bowl, the honey brook salad, and some tomato feta dish with grilled pita. Would recommend all! read more

The Service personal are professional and friendly. Menu accommodating and changes with seasonal options. Seating is comfortable and with outdoor view and seating if weather allows. My parents and I took my Pop-Pop here after Saturday Mass and it was delicious! We started off with the appetizer special: tomato and arugula on smoked focaccia. It was absolutely delicious! The tomatoes were fresh and juicy, which paired very well with the smoked, cheesy toast. For dinner, I had the fried ricotta and chèvre salad (featured in the picture). The fried ricotta added a nice crunch and creaminess to the salad, while the sour-sweet raspberries paired well with the bitterness of the arugula. The walnuts were spicy, which added a nice dimension too! The rest of my family got sandwiches and thoroughly enjoyed them. My parents especially enjoyed the ice-cold draft beers. There is a decent selection of desserts as well. We are all looking forward to coming back here the next time we visit! read more

We are visiting the area and thought that a country club restaurant would be a good place to get a decent dinner. Boy was I wrong. You walk into what seems to be a pro shop, then turn left and it's a bar. Straight up sports bar with TV's and bar stools, etc. Once you round the corner, there's a converted outdoor patio with space heaters which is the dining room. After a look at the menu and then speaking with the waiter, I went for the prime rib (which the menu lists in bold is only made on Friday and Saturday). I figured it was their special and would be a good option. 30 minutes later we get our food. Immediately I notice that my prime rib is completely cooked through, and is now pretty much well done. I had to work at it to cut through it. Additionally, there were pieces of charred fat around the plate which wasn't a great touch. The whipped sweet potatoes while decent, were stone cold by the time it arrived. The one saving grace was that both the asparagus and water were good. The staff was friendly. The kitchen definitely needs work. read more

I have been supporting greenside weekly for some time. Food and service have always been above average. The last two trips there were not what we have come to expect. Tonight we did take out. We spent over $60 on a burger/ wings and apps. The wings were the smallest wings I have ever seen. Some were not bigger than my thumb. I tried to eat them but had to throw mist away. Fried pickles we not like the normal order I get almost every time. Batter was raw. I threw them out. Burger and eggplant were good. We called and they refunded the wings but didn't want to hear about the pickles. This is three straight times where things aren't right. Not sure if we will be back. Adding this. We visited here for Mothers Day buffet, it was not a good time. First, we walkes in and were told our table was not ready yet and we were invited to sit at the bar. Then we were finally seated in what was a screen in/converted patio. The tables were so big thet you had to hug the wall to get through. The so called "buffet" was a tiny room with very little selection of food. The waffles and pancakes were dry an unedible. The fish had some kind of terrible white slop on it, it was awful. The worst part of it was trying to get through there when other people are coming the other way, ridiculously cramped. The whole time we were eating the plastic they had pulled down to keep the rain out was flapping back and forth like crazy. It was very annoying! The price was very steep at $30 per person for so little food, cramped quarters and annying flapping plastic! Avoid this place for dining unless you want to drink at the bar. We were looking forward to coming here for dinner as part of our overnight stay in Honeybrook. Have to say I never have given such a low review before, but this place was god awful. Our waiter was perfectly nice, but the food was disgusting. As someone mentioned below, the bread was hard as a rock and cold. I ordered the shrimp gnocchi, and per this picture, you can see how inedible it was. The shrimp tasted extremely overcooked and was clearly made from frozen. The gnocchi was flavorless. They threw a giant broccoli on top that didn't even taste good. The side spinach I got was over-salted. My boyfriend's prime rib was overcooked as well. We were too embarrassed to send the food back, but absolutely no way we would go back here. To top it all off, there is no way we'd spend $50 on these 2 things ever again. Ick! read more

Disappointed with food and drinks at our last visit with family. This was one of our favorite local restaurants. I thought I would bring my family from out of town for a great dining experience. That was not the case. We had 9 in our party and more than half of us had a problem with our food or drinks. The Margaritas were terrible. The prime rib sandwich was over cooked, the bread hard as a rock. Burgers were sent back due to not being prepared as ordered. Not sure what changed but we will not go back or recommend anyone we know to the Greenside grill. read more

Had a great night out with neighbors last night at HoneyBrook's Greenside Grill. We were happily seating in the Patio room, which easily accomodated our group of seven. Our server, Olivia, was very attentive and quick to please. Our cocktails were tasty - Orange Crush, Touchdown, some beers. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers - Mushroom Soup, salads, shrimp. There were a lot of rave reviews for entrees too - BBQ Port, Blackened Chicken, Crispy Brussels Sprouts Salad, Flounder - all-in-all - a great night out. We will certainly be back. read more

I've had the chance to see all of the hard work that goes into this restaurant. I've worked at the golf course the past 8 years so it's nice to see the progress of this establishment. My favorite sandwich is the Cuban. All sandwiches are delicious and made fresh. The chef is very creative and brings a diverse selection. I've had the prime rib dinner one time and it was probably one of the best cuts I've ever had. All In all, there's great food , great service, and it's owned by great people. read more

Greenside Grill is underrated. I was surprised there weren't more 5-Star reviews for this delicious restaurant. Positioned on a golf course, the country club environment is welcoming and relaxing. With live music on a Saturday night, the welcoming atmosphere is enhanced. I would encourage placing a reservation as the place fills up quickly for dinner. I ordered the special, which included tender roast beef topped with a zesty horseradish and mustard based sauce, grilled asparagus, and a succulent double baked potato with bacon. I ordered a Turkey Pastrami Panini, it should be something like a Reuben sandwith. What was delivered was smoked turkey on bread that fell apart. It was definitely NOT pastrami. Barely any saur kraut, no honey mustard or cheddar cheese. I should have sent it back right away, but decided to give it a try. The dining room was almost empty except for our table, but we could not get the attention of the two servers, chatting and chatting, and chatting with each other, without shouting at them. I asked for more water and my glass was taken...gone, without a cold drink. After way too long I got more water. One of our party asked if the water came from a well. Neither of the servers knew. The menu was also very limited and the prices were very high, especially for this area. $13 for a wrong sandwich with french fries. read more

I recently ate at the Greenside Grill and was so incredibly impressed! After getting to speak to the golf course owner who happened to stop by the table, he let us know they had recently changed chefs and let me just say, what a great idea because the food was amazing! I had a short rib panini that was made perfectly and my date had mushroom ravioli that was apparently amazing. We will absolutely be back! Great food, wonderful service, no complaints!! read more

So disappointed with our last visit! Our bartender was very scatter brained and had very nervous energy. My husbands prime rib sandwich came out like a stale piece of roast beef. She took it back and said it would be taken off the menu. She wasn't sure of the ladies night drink specials. Our s'mores tart was freezing cold in the middle. This is our "go-to" restaurant. Great food, great drinks and great service! What more do you want...a great view! Some of our favorite foods: Cuban sandwich, Spinach and strawberry salad; Kennett Square Burger; Turkey wrap; and on and on and on.... We stopped by on a Sunday for lunch not familiar with the restaurant or area and looking for a non-chain. The menu has great variety with fresh ingredients and some interesting items (arugula pesto). The tomatoes looked like they were from a produce stand down the street. We had three appetizers and a salad - all were excellent and nicely presented. The service was friendly. Simple pub menu, that is executed wonderfully. Everything on the menu is incredible and really reasonably priced. The outdoor dining is fun with a great view of the golf course.
