Man do I wish I could like this place. It is so close to my house but there is always a problem when I get food there. The last two times I place my order, it says 15 minutes, I get there 30 minutes after I order. I give them my information, they tell me it's not ready. TWICE! I see a bag that looks suspiciously like what my order is every time and keep eyeballing it thinking it's mine. Take out orders start piling up, they need counter space and start calling out orders...what do you know it was my order and it was ready when I arrived 10 minutes ago. And then when I say "oh it was ready?" They give me this puzzled look. Heard it was under new ownership recently and things have gotten worse for sure. Do better. read more

Friendly little place. Food was good service was very good and food came out Farley quick. Sushi was fresh and very tasty two of us had steak hibachi which we both found very good and the other had an orange chicken also very good. read more

The restaurant is located in a sketchy complex, but do not let that deter you from coming here. The staff are so welcoming and attentive. I have ordered take out from here a few times and everyone has been kind, fast, and they definitely put their love and prepare fresh orders. We haven't had an issue with their food. Everything is priced well and tastes amazing. My daughter and I stopped here for a weekend dinner treat and we were not disappointed. We would recommend all locals to come here. read more

I order sushi from here periodically. Its always fresh and tasty. The last time I ordered from here I had people over and they wanted the chicken teriyaki and hibachi beef. The volume of food in those orders was insane. It was enough for multiple meals. They also oohed and aahed over the taste. While the strip mall its in is nothing to write home about, the food here is definitely worth checking out. I've never eaten inside tho. read more

We usually order takeout and the food is always delicious. For my husband's birthday we decided to eat on site. There were 8 in our party and I made a reservation ahead of time. The food and service was amazing! The presentation was beautiful! They made a fuss over my husband singing Happy Birthday to him, presenting him with a balloon, a special dessert with a candle, and a handmade card by their little girl. They took his picture and added it to their wall. This was totally unexpected and we were thrilled! read more

I've tried Sumo in Morgantown, PA, twice, but I'm very unimpressed! The food at Sumo is "Asian fusion", so nothing tastes quite like it does at other restaurants. The seafood was overcooked and rubbery both times. Sumo's prices are higher than other local competitors, and the quality simply isn't there to justify the hefty price tag. I chose to not post a review the first time, assuming they were just having an off day. After ordering lunch there today, I'm convinced that there will be no 3rd visit to Sumo for me. On our second trip, the simple yellowtail roll was actually the winner! Fresh fish, well-seasoned sushi rice, good-quality seaweed.... Of all eight rolls we've had so far, it's the one I'd consider ordering again even before we've made our way through the rest of the menu. The Sumo Roll had sounded so promising, but the mango was tasteless and pale. If a riper mango had been used, it would have been a much more flavorful (if messier) roll. Speaking of messy rolls, the Fireball is another monstrosity (like the Volcano Roll), with enormous deep-fried slices that even my larger-than-average male dining partner could barely fit in his mouth. Delicious! I'm very picky with my sushi...I ordered the yellowtail roll, Angel roll, and volcano roll. All were good. The eel on the Angel roll did have a bone. Other than that everything was delicious! Will definitely be back! read more

The food was really delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and all the food i got was only 10 dollars. I recommend the hibachi chicken and white rice. Their yum yum sauce is so delicious and the waitresses really kept after our table. We all had a great time there and enjoyed our meals. In fact my friends got so much food they got alot of it to go. Decent portions. Take out, Japanese fried rice was bland and rice was hard and under cooked. Spring rolls were bland and greasy.

We have gotten take out to try several different menu items and everything is excellent! I'm so happy to have a good sushi restaurant in Morgantown - we've tried multiple specialty rolls (pink lady, Halloween roll, American Dream) and other hand rolls (spicy salmon, spicy tuna, cucumber and avocado roll). Bento boxes, spring rolls, miso soup, fried rice, crab Rangoon, we love it all! We will continue to order from Sumo. It is definitely a new local favorite.
