Our new puppy, Whisky, is 6 months old and we had to leave her for 12 days. Whisky has extreme attachment issues to me and also a lot of energy. Whisky loved being at Ryan's home and I felt at ease while on vacation. Ryan has acres for the dogs to play and they sleep in Ryan's home. No kennels and there is someone always home with the dogs. I would give Ryan's place 10 stars if I could.

We wanted to nip this medium/large dog "trauma" out of Luna's system, so she can feel safe and enjoy the company of other dogs. When we came to julya with this issue, (in the midst of a last minute trip) julya was assuring and patient. She had given Luna a slow introduction to the rest of the pack and allowed Luna to process the surrounding changes at her pace. After 3 nights with Julya, Luna came home and slept for a whole day. She was happy and tired as could be (which is always a great sign). However, the more amazing thing is the changes in her at the dog park. I could see her hesitation at first but by the second time we brought her to the dog park, she was playing with labradors, pitbulls, Great Danes and chihuahuas alike. If you're having the same issue with your dog, or if your dog has gone through an incident like mine, meeting the right people & pack does wonders.

We couldn't fathom the idea of our dog staying locked up in a kennel all day, and like a previous reviewer we were lucky enough to find Joe through a recommendation of another boarding facility. He is truly a dog lover and it shows. He spends time with the dogs like they're family - exactly what any dog owner would hope for when they're away. His place is beautiful, peaceful and honestly a dog heaven. It's the total opposite of a traditional kennel where the dogs look like they're so bored they're going crazy. Joe also texted us letting us know he took our pup on a one-on-one walk down by the river so she could warm up to him! He sent us several pictures of our dog while we were away and we were so relieved that she was being taking care of by a caring individual who simply loves dogs. The hours are great and Joe charges per over-night, so we were able to pick up our pup at 7:30 at night as soon as we flew in without having to pay an extra fee.
