We worked with Andy and he was great! We decided we didn't want any dancing, just ambient music for our dinner only reception. We didn't need a full DJ but our venue required someone to manage the music so we went with Just Press Play. Working and communicating with Andy was easy and effortless! Phone calls and emails hardly get answered. Called a few months back left a message and didn't get a call till a week later went back and fourth on a few emails and what we was looking for and with no success I haven't heard back from this company. Kinda hard to support local if the companies won't return phone calls/email. I needed a system for music, slideshows, and microphones for a Graduation Party. Andy and Ruth were very kind and helpful in making sure I understand how to use the speakers with a laptop and microphone. On the day of the event, I did not realize that all musicians performing had their own systems available. But despite the mix ups, they both powered through and gave me amazing service. Also, I would like to note that JUST ONE of their Bose L1 Model 1's filled up the entire Okinawan Center with full sound. Nothing fancy, just speakers and a mic; something that would play background music from her playlist and provide sound for her slideshow. Just Press Play had good reviews so I emailed them and Andy responded that night. He kept in touch, answered all my questions, and gave suggestions to help everything run smoothly. We rented from Just Press Play for our June wedding. It was all the way down in Hauula and Andy was awesome. he came himself and early to set up since we were doing the wedding on a private estate and needed everything done early before guets arrived. While we only needed it for our reception area, the sound was so loud we also used it for the ceremony too. This is a great idea, you just create your own music playlists and hook it up. Better yet if you have apple library you could also look up practically any song any time if any one has any requests. So we did not have a wedding coordinator the whole planning process until the day of so things were a bit chaotic and unorganized on our end. I contacted Andy about a month or so before my wedding to inquiry about an AV system to provide to my friend who would be singing throughout the ceremony and a bit beforehand as well while our guests arrived. Andy was quick to respond and was very helpful in determining the best system set-up and options for me. It was a bit hard to explain to Andy our location since he had never been there but that didn't deter him. He was willing to make it work, he was prompt with responding to my emails and phone calls which was amazing. I give him a lot of credit because I made a very last minute decision the week of the wedding that affected him needing staff but he was still willing to work with me! What a life saver! Plus they deliver, set-up and break down. Bonus! Come the day of the wedding, he arrived early and scoped out the place. He was amazing nice according to my wedding coordinator and willingly threw in a second system (one for our singer and one for the reception). The systems themselves were amazing and everyone complimented the quality of the music not only that the singer was able to dish out using their equipment but also the music quality while it played our songs was amazing. Andy's wife who was there manning the fort was absolutely a doll and dealt with now only my crazy self but my husband's and I's eccentric family and friends. She realized right away that we did not have enough songs in our play list to last the whole night, I had made a playlist on Spotify but did not download and move them into my "Wedding Playlist" instead it was simply on my Spotify account. She was kind enough to move songs over from my account into my playlist so there was always music playing. She announced our entrance beautiful and streamlined our first dance as well as our speeches that were done. Like other people recommended, don't wait until the last minute to do your playlist but lastly hire Just Press Play! You will not regret it and more than likely you will regret that you didn't. If we ever have the need for emcee and/or sound equipment services this is who we are going with. This company is a hidden gem and I am glad Yelp steered me to the right place. We used Just Press Play for our wedding reception and everything was flawless. Andy was always very quick to respond to my emails, and had a high level of professionalism. We rented their sound system, table/linen, and also used the emcee service - which went great! They have helpful lists they send you with song ideas to put together your playlist, although I will say it can be a bit time consuming getting your songs downloaded and organized so don't wait to do this until 2 days prior like we did! :) It was a great way to cut back on costs, something that most all brides/grooms are looking to do - and nobody knew the difference from the service they provided to a professional DJ. I put together my own playlist and it was great to be able to change songs whenever I wished. Andy was great to work with as well. We used Just Press Play for our wedding in April at La Pietra. Originally we had requested for MC services and sound system rental. During the planning process we had a change of plans and decided to have a restaurant dinner instead of a traditional wedding reception and thus did not need MC services anymore. I contacted Andy and had no problems making changes to only have a sound system for the ceremony. I had two songs for the wedding procession and thought that iTunes would just fade the songs in and out to transition the two songs. Unfortunately I was wrong and could not figure out how to do it. I ended up texting my friend who was in charge of starting the songs on my ipad about manually adjusting the volume and all the things he should do. I was really stressing out about it. My friend and wedding planner came early to do a dry run of the music and I think Andy saw what I had wanted my friend to do. Come to find out, Andy actually stayed for the reception and handled the songs being played so my friend didn't have to do it. Everything went smoothly and I highly recommend Just Press Play. Just Press Play Productions was fantastic at our wedding! They were so great at answering all of my questions during the planning process, were very clear about what they needed from us, and exceeded our expectations on the day of the wedding. We had an outdoor beach wedding at a private estate with 200 guests in attendance. We rented one Bose system and it was great! Sound was clear and managed well throughout the night. They were able to amplify the sound from the harpist at our ceremony. We had our own MC and made a playlist for the evening on my computer. Someone from Just Press Play was there to control the sound throughout the entire ceremony and evening and the price was extremely reasonable. A few hundred dollars was a considerable price difference from the extremely high prices of DJ's. Be sure to follow the specific and easy guidelines of Just Press Play. Be sure that that your music is on a computer or an ipod, just as they ask of you. We had a CD for the dance portion and it was skipping so badly that we had to use the ipod of one of the guests. If you bring it on a computer or ipod, you will not have any problems at all! Only thing... it was difficult for guests to hear the vows during the ceremony. The officiant had a hand-held mic and when the wind would hit the mic, it would cut out. That was very small compared to the great sound they gave us for the whole evening. Just Press Play made it very easy to design our own playlist with their helpful website and advice. I would highly recommend them for your next event! read more

Jeff was so easy to work with over email, he understood what we needed and made recommendations based on that. Our MC Andy, showed up early to set up and did such an amazing job. My husband is a mic hog (love you honey but you are), and Andy did such a good job of letting him take over to make announcements and such. He also plugged in his OWN iPod when we ran out of songs for our money dance (I think it was the longest money dance in history). We were very happy with Just Press Play. We hosted a dinner at the Proud Peacock on the North Shore, which is a pretty big space with inside and outside areas so I wasn't sure if we would just need one or two speakers. Andy (the owner) visited the Proud Peacock while we were in the planning phase to determine what we would need. He recommended the big speaker plus a compact speaker, but when he actually set it up, the big speaker filled the restaurant with a deep, rich, powerful sound and realized there was no need for the compact speaker. He refunded that portion of our payment without hesitation. Andy was attentive, conscientious, honest and fair. Professionalism at its finest. I had originally bought one of those portable speakers from Costco and realized that would probably not be enough to fill the pavilion as we were at a outside location for my daughters 1st birthday party. I called Andy 1 week prior to the party to see if he had an available time slot for me and i was so ecstatic that he did. He saved the day. We ordered the Basic IPOD DJ service which we just hooked up our Pandora and played through the whole party. The sound was more then enough to be heard all throughout the party, even though we were outside. Not so great day of service for my wedding. Communication before the wedding was fine. The equipment we got was fine. The big problem was the day of. First there was traffic the day of that resulted in our sounds system being at least and hour and a half late. Just press play did not call to let us know that the sound system was going to be late. We called and called but communication was really not there. It did make it pretty much as the guests were arriving. Then when pick up came he was slightly late for pick up. We had all of the items to be returned on the front porch of the house we had the wedding at and we had told him who to call to be let in to pick up the equipment. However instead of calling the person coordinating the return of the equipment he snuck in the gate, walked past the waiting equipment, and was walking around our party asking everyone where the sound equipment was. Once we got him to the equipment, then he identified that a mini jack was missing and made me and a bunch of my guests run around looking for it until one of my guests inspected the equipment and saw that it was already attached. Of all of my vendors, Just press play was the only one I was unhappy with. read more
