My AC decided to die on me last week and these guys were amazing! First of all I live in a gated community of townhomes and my unit is in the middle so access is not an easy task. Upon arrival these guys were friendly and very informative. They assessed the situation and let me know the fan in the unit had been completely destroyed by something getting into it. Both of my outdoor AC unit and the indoor funace/ac were 20 yrs old and not functioning well to begin with, then it started making a rattling sound and was super loud then it just stopped completely, which is the reason I called. Chase was very helpful showing me my different options and explaining the difference between them all, he offered the option of financing and helped me through the payment process and explained clearly when I asked about thier cancelation policy which was as simple as if you cancel then u are refunded your deposite in full no questions asked. The delivery of the unit was complicated as I am the middle unit in my complex so They brought in a crane and Regie helped the incredible operator direct it onto my back deck with no damage to my gutters and precision of placement, he put the new unit in place and had the old unit removed again by crane which is quite a task but such an amazing option to have especially in my situation. He also removed my old furnace/ac in the basement and brought all new equipment down for the following morning. He was a one man show on this job aside from the crane operator, I'm assuming because of the 4th of July the day before, and he crushed it!! The next day Todd and his partner showed up early and orked diligently and effectively! They we're able to come up with solutions with the thermostat and wiring that saved me some dry wall repair, which I greatly appreciate!! Please disregard my previous 9 year old 5 star review. Something has changed with this company, IMHO, and not for the better. Several weeks ago I made an appointment for a general routine furnace and a/c inspection and service. They booked me for 6/18...I asked for an early morning appointment and was advised that the closest they could come would be an 0800 to 1100 window. Had not heard anything from them until 6/18 when I called them at 0900 to see if I was scheduled...they confirmed. At 0955 they texted me to advise the tech was running late but would be there shortly. I texted back and asked how many calls the tech had made that morning. I received no response. No one ever showed up. At 1100 I called to reschedule as I couldn't wait around any longer for them. They suggested that I not reschedule as they were several weeks out and couldn't get to me until il mid-August. I couldn't believe that...a long time customer who purchased a full system from them 9 years ago...who has had them service my system every year for both heating and cooling...and this is how they think they should solve a problem that they created. They have absolutely zero problem wasting customer time, and make absolutely no effort in trying to remedy a situation in favor of the customer. I told them that I was taking my business elsewhere. Maybe there has been a change in ownership and/or management, but whatever it is, I'm staying away from them...far away. read more

Their service used to be good now it is the worst. I just saved $1,500 by going with a different company that put in a highly rated system. I also cancelled my VIP service contract that I had for years. It was anything but VIP it was a total waste of money now. . Stay away there are much better companies out there read more

We have a Navien tankless water heater in our home. The heater core failed and we called Just Right to do the warranty work. They said they could get $360 back but we would have to pay for the core though it was less than one year since installation. At installation no mention was made of hard water problems. We have not received the $360 they said we would receive. I called Navien and they claimed they have authorized the refund. Navien doesn´t stand behind their warranty either. read more

Bought a new unit from these guys about a year ago. They sold me on the VIP service saying it had 3 calls a year. Tried to call to set up an appointment to check out the ductless unit I have in my mother in law. Got a text back a couple days later that they won't come out because it's been less than6 months since they installed a completely different unit. Tried to text back to tell them I was wanting a service on not the recently installed unit and stopped receiving responses. Also had to hammer them multiple times to get me paperwork for the rebates that the salesman told me they would be taking care of. Took a few days of emails to get the docs I needed to submit. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. This company completely dropped the ball and didn't show up to do my AC tune up although I have an appointment booked between 11 and 2pm. Not only did they not showing up, they didn't even call ahead of time to let me know they can't make it, or make efforts to reschedule. I had to call and ask about it and when I did they don't make efforts to have someone come out the same day, they offered to re scheduled me to August or be put on the urgent/cancellation list. I got all these emails and text message reminders of the appointment and confirmations but they failed to hold up their side of the appointment. This company obviously don't respect your time. I'm a working professional and can't make changes to my work schedule, or cancel my work on short notices to accommodate their failure to keep an appointment. My appointment was booked in advanced and I took work off so I can make sure to be their when they show up. This is complete disregard of people's time. read more

recently had Just Right Heating & Cooling out to my home. The technician was professional and got my system running again by replacing a warm start capacitor. The work was done correctly, but the bill was $1,300 -- a job most reputable companies typically charge between $150-$400 for, and one I could have done myself for about $40-$60 in parts and 10-15 minutes of work. At today's visit, I was quoted $2,178.94 total, including $393 just to replace a 24V control transformer. I ordered the exact part on Amazon for $25 and replaced it myself in about 5 minutes. All told, Just Right would have charged me $3,478.94 across these two visits for work that cost me $85 total in parts and about half a day of light work to diagnose, order, and install. The work quality was good, but the pricing is far out of line -- well over double what other reputable companies would charge. I recommend either doing these simple repairs yourself if you're comfortable, or calling around until you find someone whose pricing is more reasonable. read more

F this company! This used to be family owned and very customer oriented. I bought an AC & heat unit from them in 2017 and watched it go to some corporate BS. They used to be reliable and honest, now it's just another money grab. They no longer offer Saturday service calls for maintenance and the last rep was just meh. The biggest issue, they called and told me I had a service credit on my account. I scheduled something after being lead to believe I had a credit. I can't get the service until end of March 2026. No problem. I woke up this morning, 02/01/2026 to find they have charged my card they must've had on file from my last service call and just charged it with no authorization. Nope- this is fraud. I'm done. I'm calling tomorrow to get this credited in their side. If they don't, I'm calling my credit card to report fraud. Don't trust this company. No added value. read more

These guys condemned my mothers furnace in winter. Said they HAD to because it was unsafe and she needed a new furnace. I guess if old widows get cold enough this tactic works. Second opinion from a reputable company the furnace tested perfectly efficient and works like new. Makes you lose hope in humanity in a way. The VIP service insures you will have a high pressure sales experience every six months. They never bothered to clean or service the furnace. Just sell my mother overpriced and unnecessary add ons. I've had good experiences with all 3 of my technicians between regular seasonal checkups and this last one with Dylan the plumber. They are educational and friendly, and without much knowledge of the industry, I've felt like they are upfront and honest with their recommendations. I've had a horrible experience with Just Right Heating & Air. I had issues with the AC system in my home so I called Just Right. in a nutshell, I ended up replacing my entire heating & AC system with brand new, top of the line equipment. Just Right sold & installed the whole system. That was a month & a half ago. Yesterday the AC stopped working, it freezes up as soon as it turns on. Of course this always seems to happen after hours, on weekends. There is no human to speak with after hours, even though they advertise 24/7 service. you can leave a message with an AI assistant & you they may or may not call you back. I called them the next day right when they opened & scheduled a technician to come out the same day between 12:00-4:00 I got a text at 3:45 telling me the tech was just finishing up a job & would be headed my way next. He never showed up. By the time I realized that, it was after hours & no matter what number Id call or text, I was greeted by the same AI assistant that is utterly useless. So $17K later, I have a brand new AC system that doesn't function & Just Right could care less. Funny how proactive & attentive they are when they're trying to get your money, once they have it.... Crickets. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for any of your HVAC needs. read more

Add me to the list of people they tried to pressure and swindle in the most shameful ways. Tried to get me to finance around $20K on the spot. The outright lies made me wonder if someone is trying to fund a drug habit. Said the A/C unit was old and that refrigerant had crusted around the outside. Said the refrigerant was empty. Was going to be too expensive to perform a complete troubleshooting; new everything makes the most sense. Said my unit was all blocked up in the vent area and they would need a special tool to clear it because anything else will damage this fragile piece. How would I know? It's on the roof. They sent out their second 'guy' to close the deal. Told me not to run my A/C or it could burn it out without refrigerant. Then both their tech and sales guy (separate visits) made sure to turn it on when they left. They tried to sign me up to their maintenance program. Made a huge case for why I would need to replace both heater and A/C at the same time and used fear as the motivator in about 3 different ways (and that I need to act now because the prices have already gone up significantly because of tariffs). Got a referral from our HOA for their preferred, longterm pro. He showed up, said the unit isn't very old and it's a quality one that he installs all the time. The crust on the outside is condensation from hard water. No big deal. Said there is a little big of leaking from refrigerant, but all A/Cs leak a little. Said the system was not empty of refrigerant. $310 TOTAL. Said I should call next year to check how much it is leaking. If more, then a simple leak stop solution treatment and valve adjustment will handle it. Unit is not blocked up; average buildup that could use a hose off but nothing concerning. Wisdom from someone else in the industry: If they are an HVAC company that needs to advertise, don't call them. Somebody has to finance their new, nice vehicles that have expensive wraps. Get that second opinion. Ask others you know who have had longtime service from a local pro. Support those people. Unless you have an emergency, they don't care about you even if you're a member of their VIP program. Every appointment I've made for maintenance has been rescheduled at least once because they don't have enough techs to prioritize appointments and emergencies, and they choose they emergencies because they make more money off of them. Don't bother trying to get ahold of them to reschedule either, when you text them back they don't respond. When you call you get an AI bot that will just take your info for a call back. We have scheduled service for air conditioning 2 months ago the day before our appointment they canceled the appointment this was the 3rd time they had done this to us. Now we schedule our time time to be home between the hours they say they would be there then change at the last minute it so inconvenient to us. We have thing we needed to get done also. If I could give them zero stars I would. This use to be a wonderful company, but now it's completely fraudulent. They tried to sell us a $13,000 lie. They told us the furnace had a crack in it which it didn't (two other companies verified that it was not cracked). They also told us it would cost over $700 for a "bandaid" repair which wasn't even sort of true. They claimed to truly fix the A/C it would cost almost $7,000. They tried to sell us a new furnace and A/C with financing at 10% interest, that this same company installed 12.5 years ago for less than 1/2 that cost. I got another company to fully repair the A/C that same day for less than $350. This company is a bunch of scammers. STAY AWAY!! read more

I scheduled a furnace service in September and had an appointment scheduled for in October, they called and rescheduled for November 14th between 11-2. Yesterday no one came so I called at 2 and finally someone came at 2:30. After being rescheduled and the Technician finally showing up 30 minutes late he did the service. After about 30 minutes he came up and presented me with a list of things that he recommended we get done which totaled around $2000.00. Keep in mind this is a furnace that is only five years old and has been well maintained and serviced yearly. I was floored!! They installed a new Daikin heating and cooling system in 2022. I have kept up on the yearly maintenance. I came home today and the furnace had failed. I called the emergency number at 6:42 pm. I was told I would get a callback soon. Still no callback at 10:00 pm. I consider this slow response time. The temperature outside is 35 F. At this point I am convinced I won't hear back until tomorrow. I am not happy! The new system cost $17k. On A positive note. The system has saved us money. But I am not sure this system is going to last very long. I have used Just Right for many years. But they have been bought out by a large national firm. My A/C recently went out. The technician from Just Right said I need an entire new unit. The salesman tried to sell me a $17,000 unit and a furnace (there was nothing wrong with the furnace). When I told him I didn't need a top of the line unit (I live at 7,000 ft), he recommended a unit for $10,400. I informed him I was going to get a second opinion. He then "found" a unit for $7400, (last years model), but at that price it would go quickly. Said thanks, but I still want a second opinion. Several hours later, I got a call from a manager, telling me another customer wanted that unit and I had to act fast. Again, I said I was waiting on a second opinion and this was beginning to sound like high pressure sales. When I got the second opinion, all I needed was a capaciter for $400. Just Right was clearly trying rip me off. NEVER use them. BYW, I told the manager how I felt. He apologized and said he would send me a check for $400. I'm still waiting. read more

I was given a quote in Middle of Oct for repairs of over 7k. I told them we meaning my mother and I could not afford that for our out of pocket cost, which would be over 4000 for us. I kept saying no we cannot afford that. My mother has Alzheimer's and doesn't understand what is being said to her, so she really has no clue what's going on. I feel as though I have been strongarmed into buying a brand new unit of over 10k, of which I will have to pay for when my mom passes. Just a note here, I am unhoused ( you know homeless) where the hell am I going to get the money to pay for a new heater? I'm also disabled. Their so called money guy, was supposed to help us get a better price for repairs, not sell us a brand new unit. I had them come out about two weeks ago to install a new central air unit and furnace. The unit and the furnace seem to work great so no complaints there, but their install and attention to detail doesn't quite match up with the price I paid. I didn't want to go with "the cheapest option" so I picked their bid of the 5 I got which was right in the middle of the road. My main issue was I had to call them back the next day because they forgot to turn my water heater back on, that was a shock to my morning, but they were able to walk me though turning it back on. When my air conditioner runs there's now an audible rattling sound from one of the pipes they laid to go to the AC outside, I'm going to see if I can put something up there to make a little quieter. And also they left one of the holes they put in my house going to the furnace unsealed and didn't put the insulation back. Not sure if it can be sealed.... I'm not an AC installer but it seems like a good way for bugs to get into my home so I'm gonna try. At the end of day my home is cooler and I got what I paid for, but the installers seem like they just want to leave at the end of the day. They will pressure you into signing the "jobs complete" paperwork and cutting the check before they are finished, but be sure to spot check their work before they leave and you should be fine.... but for the price I paid I don't feel like I should have to babysit them. 6/2/2020 update: I got into contact with them about my concerns and they are very professional and apologized for the water heater incident. They came out to inspect the rattling and the non-sealed areas outside my house and It turns out those hoses were sealed but they were sealed with clear sealant on the outside that I couldn't see that also let light in (my mistake), and they addressed the rattling issue which has made my house a lot more pleasant to live in. They were very professional about it and I'm a lot more confident in the work they performed. read more
