A half is a good size for a quick and small lunch, but if you were feeling hungry I'd definitely get the full. For lunch, choose between soup, salad, sandwich or even Taste 2 option (1/2 sandwich or salad and a small soup). Tried many of the soups - Tomato basil and chicken noodle are good. wasn't too crazy about the others. Salads - my fave is the Shanghai chicken salad with romaine Sandwiches - several: TBM, chicken TBM, roasted turkey club, turkey avocado Seasonal soups: chicken dumpling is bland, butternut squash is delicious! This was my only visit to this Cosi but it was a good experience. Since the three NYC/LI Cosi locations were all shut down unexpectedly mid Jan and I was stuck with $60 worth of gift cards I bought at the midtown location over the holidays, I needed to find a place to use them up. (Would have been nice if they had halted gift card sales at locations that were potentially closing...) I trekked to this Jersey City location since it was the only remaining open one in the area. I placed my large order and the woman and man in the back got them ready quickly and correctly. The woman at the cashier was able to add points to my card and use my multiple gift cards without issue. The whole transaction went smoothly and made me bittersweet that this might be my last Cosi visit ever. Hoping the NYC locations open back up some day! read more

They started doing this BOGO deal on all coffee drinks, all day, Sunday and Saturday. $5 for two gigantic iced mochas within a 2 mile radius of Manhattan is cray cray shanaynay. I like this place since its underneath my workplace. I usually stop by to get egg white pico de gallo or egg white Florentine. They give me enough egg white protein. Soup here is good too. I like Turkey chili here. Salad and sandwich is okay. Sandwich is little small for what you paying for. They have also bowl with rice and meat which is another good food. Mac and cheese with chicken which I had before was good too. I don't get coffee here, but they do offer couple different flavors. Topical lunch here would run little over $10 here. read more

Breakfast on the way from the PATH station to my customer and then I stopped in on the way back to the hotel for a sandwich to go. I have had better coffee, but the bagels were square. Interesting. They call they "Squagels". Even in the few times I stopped in here, I saw different staff each time and some of them could use a little training. On one occasion, my bagel order got "lost" - someone got my bacon egg and cheese when they ordered a hummus. When they made the replacement, I got to my office to eat it and it was missing the egg. Sad. Salads look awesome. Very large with lots of "stuff" in them and not all lettuce. Tip: If you're getting a sandwich or a bagel, you can order it and then go pay for it and your coffee while they finish making it. read more

I haven't had Cosi in over 8+ years (this was duding my high school years). Anyways, I saw that there was a Cosi near my new office and I couldn't wait to try it! I remembered how delicious their bread used to be. I decided to order a half salad which included a flatbread as well. The salad was very fresh and the flatbread tasted exactly how I remembered it! The only difference between Cosi 8+ years ago to now is that the bread isn't as thick as it used to be. They probably use less dough to make the bread now because now it doesn't cut the roof of my mouth. Stopped by to try the turkey chili. Sorta disappointed. It tasted like tomato sauce that they added some chili powder to. There was very little turkey and what turkey was in it tasted very mealy. This is a really good Cosi restaurant. I've been to a few of them and this is one of my favorite by far. Food and staff are great here. Everything I've had here is good. My favorite dishes are the bowls and in particular the adobo chicken bowl. I usually get the taste two deal which is great when you want a sandwich and soup. Today I had half the tuna melt sandwich and a small turkey chili soup which were both delicious. The fresh bread they make on site daily is very delicious , I'd definitely recommend this place for lunch or even dinner. Salads here are pretty good too read more

Well. I give up. Cosi used to be one of my favorite places to grab a sandwich when I worked in the northeast but let me tell ya - this JC location has basically crushed any chance of me coming back to any Cosi. I travel from the West Coast often and have tried grabbing a bite from this location specifically and always have issues. This morning at around 9:30am they wouldn't let me get a lunch sandwich (Turkey and Brie) and said I had to only order breakfast. Their breakfast menu had something I liked so I asked to have it on whole wheat flatbread which is shown as an option in their menu for the breakfast sandwich and the woman working the counter told me "bagels only no flatbread". Sooooooooo essentially I got poor service and didn't even get to order anything since they wouldn't make a single thing I asked for. I left and bought nothing and won't ever be returning. read more

It is a huge space, very clean and the gentleman was really kind, made our sandwiches very clean and we could pick what we wanted in the sandwich's. The bread was freshly made in front of you. I came here once for a yelp event and I returned because I was given a $5 gift card. I had a gift card for another restaurant in the area, from the same yelp event, so i killed two birds with one stone, being that I'm not in Jersey City too often. I went to Cosi right after eating a big meal at Fire and Oak, and I ordered takeout from here. This review is for my return visit. Although I only got takeout, I did see the dining area. The space is pretty big and there is a fair amount of seating here. There's also an outdoor seating area, good for those nice days. I ordered the Turkey and Stuffing sandwich. (I'm assuming this is a seasonal item). The sandwich wasn't bad. It had the signature cosi bread with turkey chunks, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. It tasted a little like a thanksgiving meal. I was also given a small bag of chips, which came with the sandwich. The thing about Cosi though, is that its overpriced, which is why this is a 3 star establishment. The sandwich was priced at right around $8 and it really wasn't that big. I guess the euro style gimmick, makes the price go up on the sandwiches about $2 higher than it should be. read more

Cosi tries to do so many things at one time. I mean they have little bit of everything like Soups, Sandwiches and other stuff. I have been to this location a couple of times and have a lot of things on the menu for lunch. I have tried the sandwiches with tuna and their daily special soups. The food isn't extraordinary and the food here is definitely expensive. The people behind the counter are nice but they do confuse your order during peak times like during lunch. I had the Cosi Signature Salad (mixed greens, grapes, pears, pistachios, dried cranberries, gorgonzola, sherry shallot vinaigrette), half of the TBM (tomatoes, basil, fresh mozzarella, cosi vinaigrette) and half of the Pesto Chicken (fresh mozzarella, sun-dried tomato spread) sandwiches. COSI is COZY. I'm a BIIIIIIIG Fan of cosi's amazing creation, "Wasabi Roast Beef Sandwich!" I've never seen such a way to use "Gari" (Pickeled Ginger, usually for sushi.) sandwich in Japan, even other dishes. I should tell my Japanese friends this remarkable sandwich to try it. Their hands down whole grain bread is very delicious too! Eat it while the bread is still hot, soooo delicious! I sometimes buy some bread for my breakfast, it's $1 each ! Sometimes I couldn't decide which should I take sandwich or salad....I wanted both.Since 2009 new year, COSI gave me a great solution. New duo plate! Food - The food at Cosi never disappointed me. I had tried pizza, salad, sandwich and dessert. Ambiance - They got a lot of tables, including outside seating during the summer. You can sit there relax for hours and not be worried by kicked out. Service - The service was not stable. Sometimes if you were lucky, you would have the professional team. However, a few days ago during my revisit, a bunch of workers just stood around and played or talked to each other. Came here because it was right next to my office & I wanted soup. Immediately this place reminded me of Great-Value Panera, except the value was not great. I choose the "Taste 2" option and asked for a tuna melt & tomato basil soup. What happened next grossed me out terribly and is the main reason for this 1 star review. I literally watched the sniffling server making my sandwich run back of her hand (glove on) across her runny nose to wipe it and CONTINUE TO MAKE MY SANDWICH. THAT IS BEYOND DISGUSTING AND UNHYGIENIC. IF I GET SICK EATING THAT SANDWICH (which did not taste pleasing at all), I WILL KNOW EXACTLY WHERE IT CAME FROM. Relatively quick service, but a little confusing where you pick up your food, your drinks, and more... it's not quite assembly line when you have to return back to the drink/soup area to pick your hot sandwich back up. I love Cosi, but my two dining experiences at this location were less than stellar. For dinner I got a signature salad and sandwich. Aren't the sandwiches supposed to be oven-baked? Well, mine wasn't. I didn't bother saying anything about it. It was late, I was starving, and I think they were actually closed for the day. The salad was delicious, as usual, though. After eating dinner there, I noticed they have oatmeal for breakfast, which I love to have before a run. So I went for the oatmeal the next morning. I won't do that again. It was gooey and tasteless, even after adding raisins and brown sugar. Note to all Cosi locations, think about redoing the ordering procedures. We had lunch delivered to our work place and had variety of salads and sandwiches. I had the cedar salad with a chicken sandwich and I give them both 5 stars. My coworkers had greek salads and other sanwhiches like turkey and avocado, Italian and veggies and hummus subs and they also raved about how delicious it was. I appreciated the packaging during this pandemic. Everything was individually wrapped and utensils also came packaged individually.
