Its been a while since I reviewed Just Threading in Tinley Park. As someone who has gotten my eyebrows threaded for 20+ years, I trust Just Threading to always do an amazing job. I've tried other places and tend to leave disappointed. The shop owner remembers my mom and I, pricing is fair, inside is always clean, and she's very detailed in the job. Do not go here. Asked to get my eyebrows cleaned and I had pretty thick eyebrows before I showed up and I left with basically no eyebrows. It looked like someone took a marker and drew a line on my face. This happened to right before a wedding and I've been crying for hours. Please do not go here. It is not worth it. Horrible experience...I've been going here for a long time. They were good neighbors. I went in to have my lashes done because I was going out of town for a wedding. I've never had lashes before so I thought I'd try out individuals. I'm heading out of town immediately and then they start falling off. They didn't even last one day! I couldn't even go back to have them redone because I was out of town. I had a makeup trial when I got back and got my lashes redone. I went to ask for a refund or some type of compensation for horrible lashes. And Melisha or whatever her name is says no. She asks if I want them redone and I'm like you didn't even do them right the first time! No thank you! Mind you I've been coming for a long time and they don't care about their customers and all the want is money. I would have been fine if she'd offer to add a credit for eyebrows or chin waxing which I normally get, but nothing. Horrible customer service!! read more

Yikes, do I regret my visit. First of all, a girl likes to get a reaction from her husband, but not: "Man they did a number on you! Please don't ever go there again!" This place appears to be run by younger adults who spend more time making eye contact with their phones than their customers. You barely get a hello, more like a whaddya want? And there is virtually NO dialog. I had to stop the girl and tell her I wanted a cleanup and natural shape. She was busily approaching me with her thready pincers, and seemed surprised when I actually explained what I wanted. It wasn't that she was rude, she just didn't seem to want to talk to me at all, which I suspect could have been due to a lack of English skills. (And I speak the same foreign language as them.) I'm not asking for an intense conversation, just a hey - how are you! The threadist proceeded to attack my eyebrows with equal amounts of disdain and speed. Her thread kept breaking and the only thing she ever said to me was, "Hold here" and she kept positioning my hands. When she was done, she handed me a mirror. I wasn't super pleased as they looked uneven, so I asked her to even out the bushier eyebrow. After her second pass, I still wasn't pleased, but I just said Thank You to expedite my exit. When I got to my car, I noticed she had taken a layer of skin off of my nose. Gee thanks . . . It proceeded to scab over, and all I've gotten for the last few days is a lot of funny looks and questions. I was better off doing these myself. Now I have to go and buy makeup and neosporin to cope with the loss of my skin. Please note: I have been to this place on 3 other occasions. The other staff were better at their job but I always managed to leave with some cuts. These folks need some zest for what they do! Or at least a smile and a friendly hello! Even a fake one! I figure the threadist must have realized she took off my skin, right? She does this for a living presumably. I wish she had said sorry or warned me to put something on my skin. Advice: If you go, please be vigilant, and bring your own skin first aid with you. read more

This place has gone to crap since they moved locations.. RIP to my left eyebrow. First off, I entered this establishment without any makeup and maybe that was my mistake because the woman working was extremely rude right off the bat. She took her sweet time making it over to where she told me to sit then she vigorously threaded my eyebrows.. she took too much off on one side but tried to cover it up by brushing them so I wouldn't be able to tell. I didn't notice she completely removed the arch I worked so hard to grow until I came home! Almost in tears, I called back and told her about what she did.. at first she pretended like she didn't remember who I was, but when I told her I wanted to speak with her supervisor she remembered me... I wouldn't even have made a big deal about this if the lady wasn't rude in the first place. Moral of the story: If you're going to work in customer service learn how to work nicely with others.. read more

If I could give a negative score I would. VERY PAINFUL. I had scabs under my eyes because the girl ripped my skin off. Terrible experience. I asked for my brows to be thick, they turned out very thin. She didn't ask either; I had to tell her before she started. I didn't even get a hello, just "threading?" With a motion to the chair. I've had threading before and this was by far the worst experience. I will never go there again and I probably will steer clear of threading. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Brow threading: $5, $8 if they're really bad. Plus, you get a punch card for a free threading. Also, there's really never too long of a wait and the girl is really good! It's definitely worth checking out. It's located in the plaza w Arbys on 179th & Lagrange Rd. read more

Love, love, love this place! I've gone to their place in Oak Forest and now since this is closer to where I live I gave it a try today and I would highly recommend it! You do have to be sure that you go into it and not the other salon that is in the strip mall. This place is attached to the Bridal Salon. The girl I had today did a beautiful job and my brows look fantastic. Definitely give them a try! read more

My eyebrows needed attention and I headed to Yelp for a nearby place for threading while I was in town. First off, a fellow yelper was spot on. This place is SO difficult to find. Don't even bother with your GPS. It tells you that you were at your location and you aren't even at an intersection. I had to call to ask where to go and she told me "by 80". Great help. So look for the strip mall that Blackberrys Pancake House is in and you will finally be at your destination. There were several people waiting, but no big deal, this service is always fast. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for awhile, but not here. I told the lady I just needed cleanup/ maintenance to handle those stray hairs growing in. Her thread kept breaking every few seconds, which I thought was odd. This doesn't happen at my usual place. By the end, she told me I was done and I looked. They seemed ok and I left, but what I didn't notice until I was home was that she changed the shape of my eyebrows (thinning the naturally thicker part above the center of my eyes) and left me with two bald spots (which she covered with some of the longer hairs). So I have spent months growing in certain places due to over-plucking, only to have them disappear. Everyone in my group left with newly shaped brows that all looked identical. Advice: 1) Ask about preferred shape PRIOR to threading 2) LISTEN to your client and what they are looking for. 3) Thin brows are not in. Natural are in. It was only $5, but I wouldn't go back. I'd rather pay $20 elsewhere and leave happy. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I've been going here for just a few months and I keep coming back. My eyebrows never looked better (I didn't make them look this good LOL) They are very professional. It's not painful at all, maybe it's a little uncomfortable (mild pinching) - but so worth it. They also offer waxing, which I get on my upper lip and my chin area. Great service, so far I've been seen by 4 different ladies and they are very nice, professional and do a FANTASTIC JOB!! You must give this place a try read more

I always came here to get my eyebrows done because it was half the price ($5) of what they charge at the malls ($10). They just upped their prices to $7, but still not bad. They also give you a card you can use towards a free threading (I always lose mine though). The salon is small and clean, the staff is friendly, and most of them do a good job. I only ever had one girl who messed up my eyebrow. I always tell them not to do them too thin to avoid messed up brows. They also do facials, waxing, and sell jewelry, nail polish and other random little things. read more

Love this place I have been here numerous times. Honestly I am here about every 2 or 3 weeks. All of the girls there do a fantastic job. I have gone at all different times and for the most part find their hours rather convenient. I only wish their weekend hours were a little longer as I can never remember in a timely fashion on Saturdays that I wanted to go there. That is solely my fault however I have to say try them the 5 dollars for eyebrow maintenance is well worth it. read more

Finally found a new place after moving out of the city. It was literally the quickest I have ever gotten my eyebrows threaded and I thought they were pretty hairy. Usually it takes my other girl a good 5 minutes and it only took about 1 minute. Which made me nervous because I didn't know how they were going to look. I honestly loved them and for $6 you can't beat that! Great place, no wait, quick in and out. I've found my new place. read more

This place is very difficult to find if you're unfamiliar with the area. It's right off LaGrange past Blackberrys Pancake House. The woman who threaded my brows was nice enough, but kept leaving the station to talk to other people and check on the maintenance man who was installing a new lighted mirror. She did seem concerned with how I was doing, but waiting for her to come back while I have a face full of cooling wax is not very comforting. Overall, she did an ok job, but it's not a place I'd go out of my way to get to. read more

This was the worst threading experience I have had yet. I've been getting my brows threaded for years and I've never had problems. My usual technician was closed and I had to get my brows done for a last minute event. The woman here made me bleed. Never had this happen before, and won't be coming back. read more

The name here is slightly misleading as they do offer a few other services besides threading. I've had better eyebrow threading at other pricier places, but for seven bucks I think they do a fair job. They offer a variety of waxing services here done by a super nice lady named Margaret. She works out of a couple other salons and is only here a few days a week. I believe the waxing is done by appointment only. The prices are reasonable, and Margaret took the time to learn my name and answer any questions that I had, which is always a plus. read more

They raised their prices to $8 and spend a total of 25 seconds (if that) on my eyebrows. I never had to ask before, but I had to ask the lady to spend more time cleaning up around my eyebrows. It was obvious that she didn't think she should spend more time on my eyebrows, so she did one little pass with the thread on each side and she was done. Then she just handed me a mirror without doing anything thing else. I do not get my eyebrows done a lot, so to get that kind of effort when I do is very disappointing.
