Here we are one year into the pandemic and Bellavan is not only making our feet and nails look amazing they are doing it with class, style, and cleanliness. They do everything from manicures to pedicures and no chip. They have a huge selection of colors and options. Katie did my pedicure and dip today and she brought me to the level of cuteness and style I'm use to - just in time for Easter. The salon is clean and elegant. They have installed plexiglass at each station and they wear masks and follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing. this place is outragus, i went and asked for a plain white acrylic set and this the what he gave me, i told him with polish and he still did acrylic. after repeating it TWICE when he finished he do not clean under my nails at all i had light blue at first and you can still see the blue under this is very dissaponing becuse this used to be my go to spot... not anymore read more

I was a little nervous as I told Nate the salon tech who started on my nails that the machine that's used to trim the nails. I've had bad experiences in the past, and he made me aware from the beginning of trimming nails with emery boards as I am old school and then starting with the machine used at the salon, he explain to me and process, how gentle it can be, and then he started on my nails, and it was the best experience that I've had with my nails and other nail techs Nate, you made me feel very comfortable and the socialization between us while doing my nails was right on time thank you for a great experience. After having several bad experiences at my old go-to nail salon, I was becoming so frustrated that I stopped getting my nails done altogether. For years I never even cared to upkeep my nails, but it turned out going back to having unpainted nails was NOT as easy as it sounded! 3 months later I stumbled into Bellavan and I could not be happier that I did! The entire staff was super friendly, especially the part-owner, Nathan. No awkwardness, they all made me feel super comfortable about what I was asking for -- right down to the design, which he redid TWICE until HE was satisfied with it -- I was okay with the first attempt! I really hate to give bad reviews but this has to be known and heard. So, I had an appt schedule with Joe at 6:30 this evening. Walked in and checked in I would say by 6:27. The young lady had me pick out a color which took me about 30 seconds because I usually pick the same shades every time. She then told me to sit at seat 4 I believe. Joe comes over right away and gets me started. Everything is going well. Fast forward we get to putting on the gel color. The gel seemed like it was running out and he couldn't get it to go on smooth. Ok, no problem. I did think for a second "ok I may have to go a few weeks with my nails not looking to good, but let's keep going" He still couldn't get it right so he proceeded to try and find me another color similar. Which was great on his part. Well then the owner, Debbie (I believe) happened to walk in and I say maybe she remembers the color she did for me the last time. So I said "do you remember the color you did on my nails" she says "no sweetie (anyone that knows her she says sweetie a lot) I don't but can you just pick a color out because my employees have been here for 10 hours" Well then Debbie don't schedule your employees to work that may hours. Now at this point it's maybe around 7:20. (Closing time 7:30) Then her HUSBAND COMES FROM BEHIND HER AND PRETTY MUCH THREW ALL THE COLOR SWATCHES ON TABLE AND SAYS "HERE LETS MAKE IT EASY FOR YOU, PICK OUT A COLOR" in a very ignorant and aggressive way. I said "excuse me, what!" I really had to hold my self back. First off, it's not my problem that the color that I choice from start was hard and clumpy. All we were trying to do is find a color similar. But the IGNORANCE OF THE OWNERS BLEW MY MIND. To come from the owners is very wrong. I can maybe see an employee but the owners, no. I have been going there for a while now and I will never step in that establishment ever again. Along with my sisters, sister in laws, my Neice's and friends that all go there. The ONLY thing that Debbie said after that was, I'm sorry. Ya ok, she doesn't care and either does her husband. They sit there and act like they care about customers but their actions this evening displayed the real in them. Poor Joe for having to work for some disrespectful individuals and making him work 10 hour days. I was not the one holding anyone back from going home. It was the polish and Joe wanted to make sure that I left happy. Embarrassing to the owners but Joe did his job and Debbie and her husband failed at customer service. This was the worst salon!! I had an appointment at 11:30 and I had to wait more than 15 minutes before someone took me. My nail tech did my nails did not tell me the price (no price listed anywhere). After a week my non chip manicure was falling off and chipping. I called for a refund the owner said she would take care of it and still has not provided me with a refund. Went there desperate to get my nails done in time for my baby shower since my original destination was booked. But I do not regret the trip nor the $120 spent! Best nail salon I've ever been to and I've been doing nails a long time. My niece, two daughters, and I just got our nails done with the dip powder and extensions. We came with pictures from Pinterest thinking they wouldn't be able to do it but the wowed us with their skilled nail art tech. My ombré nails were so perfect! Katie is the best! First of all they didn't have the first two colors that I picked out. The guy who did my service seemed distracted and rushed. Filing of toenails was poorly done, and he injured the skin around one of my big toenails and now I think I'm going to get an ingrown toenail (which stinks because I'm leaving on a cruise). Foot and leg massage was underwhelming. "No chip" gel manicure chipped after 3 days. I am going to have to have my nails redone on my trip. I don't plan to return to this salon. read more

I had a gel fill in with no chip done & 6 days later one nail completely cracked off. I tried going the same day for repair (Monday) and they were closed for a family emergency (I understand life & totally respect that!). My only available day was Thursday and the receptionist told me they're completely booked. I went online and booked an appointment with no problem & called to let them know. She seemed irritated. The receptionist told me there would be no charge at this appointment so I wasn't expecting to pay (besides tip). I walked in & told her that 8 out of 10 nails were lifted and they all needed to be redone. Mind you, if they were open Monday that marks 6 days of my nails ($80 for that and toe polish change w/tip). Thought maybe there was a grace period? No one said anything about pricing, so I thought they were fixing their mistakes - I had my entire set soaked off, new overlay and a gel polish applied. I was cut a few times during the service with the drill, but stayed quiet. As I finished I went to the front and they charged me $46, making it seem like I got a deal at "$30 off". I said "even though I paid $80 last week?" They said yes they didn't know how to charge me. And I tipped, again, too of course. No lie; I get in my car and 15 min AFTER I LEFT, My NAIL CHIPPED AGAIN. HOW?!!!? To say I'm beyond irritated is an understatement. I left 3 stars because Nate the owner is a nice guy, easy to talk to & has a beautiful salon. But my god, I've spent $140 on my nails in the last 9 days ... and they're already chipped. Getting your hair or nails done is a luxery to yourself to make you feel better, and here I'm using cash I put aside for a gift I needed to get to pay for my "nail service" again. I'm not sure I'll be back, Unless they're willing to give me another chance at a complimentary service. read more

I got my nails done on a Thursday. My nail chipped right away but I was scheduled to go out of town the next morning. When I got back home on Sunday, they were closed. They were also closed on the following Monday and Tuesday. So fast forward to today on Wednesday, I go in for the repair an 1 1/2 hours before closing and they say they can't take me. I spent $160 on my nails. I guess since it was a repair, they didn't care to take me. I will NEVER be back! You've lost a high paying customer! Do better. Learn to do QUALITY work! read more

Deb is amazing! She treats everyone with such care and pays attention to detail when doing nails. I have gone to her a couple of times now for no-chip & she always does an amazing job. When I have gotten no-chip from other places, when they are done, it looks already grown out. She gets so close to the cuticle, they look brand new for the longest time. Came in as a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon for a no chip manicure (first time coming here). Was immediately sat and taken care of. Everything in regards to the actual manicure went nicely. Massage at the end was a little rough but nothing terrible. My nails started to peel up on the sides 3 days later and now on Thursday all have peeled off completely. For the $41 I was expecting they would last at least 2 weeks. I work an office job, not handing any chemicals or anything rough that would cause the nails to peel like this. They also don't allow tipping on card which I wish I was made aware of before hand so I could've brought cash; I had to go to the bank and come back to give tip. read more

I really want to love this place because it's so close to home, it's cozy, the owner is so sweet and the salon is very well put together. The problem is that my nails never last 2 weeks. I've always gotten no chip (gel) that used to last me closer to 3 weeks. The gel always starts to peel up or crack and chip by the first week. I've been going here for the last few months and I've never experienced this so soon prior to coming to this nail salon. This is a reoccurring issue but this time happened way too soon. Found my new nail spot! Adorable inside and very friendly service. Love the book of nail colors rather than picking from a wall. Annie did a fantastic job on my nails and feet. The owner/manager (not sure) was cleaning which was nice to see and talking to everyone and just a joy. Loved the music playing and the aquarium/animals on the TV's. Only small critic was that the massage chairs were super basic, didn't have many options at all for a nice melt in your seat massage, and the bathroom needed a bit of updating/attendance for how cute the entire place is. It looked awesome, Bellavan nail lounge had no availability the day before my wedding, but once I explained the situation, the owner herself took it upon herself to make time for me and re-do my nails for my wedding. It looked absolutely phenomenal and she shapes nails perfectly. I will never go to another nail salon!! My wife went in for a pedicure. Nice place. Clean. Issue was She felt very rushed. And they barely let her soak her feet. Rushed to pick a color. No communication with tech. Her feet were not even smooth she said. How about having your customer actually feel like their getting pampered. In these trying days you'd think customers would need more than a 2 minute soak. The BEST & MOST BEAUTIFUL nail salon in the south suburbs. They have every service you can imagine & it is incredibly clean and well run but that's not the reason to come. It's the service!! The owners go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and to really give you the best experience to make you feel pampered. My mother is not in great health and Deb the owner personally took care of her mani/pedi. Mom is not particularly mobile & has been in and out of the hospital for the past couple months for various issues. She needed some help & Deb almost brought me to tears because she treated my mom with such patience & understanding- the way you would want any mom to be treated. I was blown away. Above & beyond nail service- this was a day of feeling like a lady that my mom needed and deserved. We will never go anywhere else. I was a Friday night walk in. Deb treated me warmly and thanked me for coming in. She showed me the color choices, which are sample nails on a ring. Love that! Much easier to pick a color that way. Deb showed me to the pedicure chair and started the water for my foot soak. She then introduced me to Lily. I really appreciate the personal touch. Lily did a great job. She was personable, yet efficient. She asked questions to make sure I was satisfied. I love my manicure and pedicure. The salon itself is beautiful and modern. I was very comfortable there. I really enjoyed how the business was set up. Everything was clean, it was easy to understand techs and them to understand me. The prices were very fair and reasonable. I thought the girl at the front desk seemed a little less miserable than a dog trapped in a cage for hours in a hot room. However the other woman who was also doing nails and pedis was very kind, I didn't get to work with her, but I appreciated that she knew everyone by name and would have nice conversations while also greeting people at the door and managing a few clients at once without rushing them. She was super woman! But on the downside, unless I can book with her I'm not sure I will be back. Like I said I loved how clean and organized everything was, and my pedicure was wonderful. My manicure however, not so much. The areas around the base of my nail above my cuticles are already chipping and look uneven in coats (I got no chip) and my cuticles themselves are destroyed. I didn't have any sort of hang nails or small cuts before, but now my fingers are ripped up which makes things like cooking certain things and soaps/lotions very painful. He pushed them back but also went sideways on the bottom which was very painful. Now every single one of my fingers is peeling and cut up so I wasn't very happy about that. I felt torn between 3/4 stars because most of my experience went well, but because of the outcome of my service I gave 3 stars. Thank you anyways! read more

I initially gave this salon a 5 but since then I have been very disappointed. I made several appointments and tried to make a standing every 2 weeks. I went there 3 times with appts and they looked at me like I had 2 heads and did not take me as scheduled. After the third time I walked out. I have since gone back and I just do walk ins because Katie is great. I have never heard of a salon that has no regard for scheduled appts so that is very frustrating. As far as cleanliness I'm shocked that this salon is described as clean. They don't even soak their nail Brush is barbicide which is a pretty standard disinfectant. And the same dirt has been on the floor and at my girls station since the first time I ever went there. So no I would not describe it as clean. I go there for Katie because my nails hold up but buyer beware. read more
