I've owned the vehicle less than a month and already put $5,000 additional into fixing their band-aids. Their "mechanic" (cousin) did a dodgy brake job and pushed me out the door with a half tightened plate that fell of half way home. The ring leader father is bipolar, smiling one minute and attitude the next. I asked him to show me the 4x4 working and you would have thought I asked him to borrow money. When I called them about the issues Don's (one of the shifty sons) only response was I should have taken it to "their guy". When I called their guy the service record showed exactly the coverup and punt it out the door job they did. I'm now dealing with a vibrating, winding, growling van with a check engine light battle I'll never win for over 30k. Transmission bucks all over the place and the van lives in limp mode most of the time. Sad to think how many other people are out their right now working and going to hand their time over to this weird con artist family with no remorse. Stay away.

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!…read more On 10/3/25, my husband paid Lee Wiles / Common Vision LLC $1,020 (plus a $281 tip) for axle and brake repair. Less than 24 hours later, the car broke down in a dangerous way. AAA confirmed the repair was unsafe and improperly done, and another certified mechanic verified this. The axle came out and nearly caused a serious accident. When I contacted him, instead of refunding the payment, he admitted in text messages that "the axle came out" but refused to return the money. He also tried to deflect responsibility by making inappropriate comments about race and insisted on "fixing" it again -- despite my clear statements that I no longer trusted him after such unsafe work. I have full documentation: receipt, CashApp payment, AAA confirmation, mechanic statement, and text messages from his phone. This needs to be on record to prevent him from scamming and endangering others. He is also not listed with the BBB as a registered business -- but I have filed a complaint so there will now be a record. If he scammed you too, REPORT HIM. Businesses that operate this way do not last. Add On: It's not harassment to ask for my money back after a repair failed in less than 24 hours and almost caused an accident. AAA confirmed the axle came out because of improper work, and a certified mechanic verified this. I provided proof: receipt, CashApp payment, and text messages where Mr. Wiles himself admitted "the axle came out." I made it very clear that I would not allow him to touch my car again after such an unsafe repair. At that point, the only responsible action was to issue a refund. Instead, he refused, deflected responsibility, and made inappropriate comments about race. This is not about being "nice" or "polite." It's about safety, integrity, and accountability. I stand by my review and documentation. Others deserve to know what happened so they can protect themselves. DO NOT TRUST HIM!!

RE: Common Vision. Lee is the kind of mechanic who is passionate about diagnosing car problems and…read morefinding solutions. I found him here on Yelp and hired him for a PPI to look at a 2003 Tiburon. A family member is an enthusiast for these old cars which they wanted to make into a "hot hatch". I met Lee at the dealer, which was a long drive to the dealer for both of us. And of course the car was in a back lot 3 or 4 rows deep. So while waiting for the dealer to find the car and bring it to the front, Lee noticed some teenagers who were there to look at a Civic SI. One of them was checking for rust by knocking his knuckles on the car body. Lee smiled at this and went over to chat with them and before you know it, he was reviewing the car with them, explaining how you really check for rust, opened the hood and began digging into how to tell if this Civic was running well or not. He looks underneath the car by getting on the ground and actually looking. I noticed all the other guys, both the dealer guys and the buyers, were hesitant to do this. I think they were intimidated because he obviously knew much more about engines than they did. I was impressed that Lee has the instincts of an educator. He really wants to not just evaluate the car but to teach others how to examine a car. Eventually the Tiburon appears and then Lee quickly went through his process. He focuses on the engine and doesn't move on from that until all issues are covered. In this case, he zeroed in immediately on the coolant system. It wasn't holding pressure. I watched as he carefully tested and retested and showed the dealer technician that the system was bad and that it was leaking. We had already been there for an hour and a half so it was decided that the dealer would pull a hose from another car ( the dealer was close to a salvage yard) and repair it and then Lee would return to test it again. In the end, even the dealer gave up on this car, he didn't complete any repair and we moved on. But I will have Lee examine any car we are considering. He is an excellent mechanic, fair and honest.

AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!!…read more I just witnessed an appalling display of racism by one of their employees, Heather Grove. A dear friend of mine was displeased with the quality of service she was receiving from the business and posted her feelings in a respectful way on Facebook. Heather posted comments calling my friend (a well-employed college graduate) and other commenters "hoodrats" and then said she's "white and doesn't care" what others think. Prior to that point, NO ONE had mentioned race. Heather, apparently has it on her mind though and forgot that all money is green. All money matters, right? So take your money and spend it at a business who knows that and values customers of ALL kinds. THIS place isn't it. ETA 8/14/18; I just noticed that some man who admits to being unfamiliar with the issue decided to chime in and claim that Heather "isn't racist" (she most certainly IS racist and proudly admitted as much in the appalling comments she openly made on FB). Further, that same man decided to excuse Heather's unprofessional behavior by placing blame on the PAYING CUSTOMER. If that person is indicative of the kind of advice the management is getting about addressing serious issues with customer service and public behavior, then I'm utterly convinced this business needs to cease to exist. Even McDonald's will do what is required to keep customers happy (except, maybe, keeping the ice cream machines working ). These people clearly prefer to shirk responsibility for their sub-par service and then seek to blame others for their wrongdoing. Anyway, they don't WANT to do better, so they definitely don't deserve your money.

The experience was lackluster at first, but was turned around and ended well. The long version: I was looking for a family vehicle, and after looking around a bit, I found that Great Neck Buyers and Sellers Inc had a very clean 2012 Land Rover Lr4 with 81K miles. Listed Price: $16,695.00 I verified that it was there. Kay was very pleasant on the phone. I was coming from 1 hour and 20 minutes away, and scheduled an appointment to test drive the vehicle. I was already approved for the loan with my bank. When we got there we were introduced to a salesman name David. David was an excellent salesman, I have no issues with him. He was just doing his job so I don't blame on him. He quickly let me know that The price was not the real price in that I would have to add $1,995 down payment to be at the price. So the vehicle's actual price was: $18,690! Anyway, we where allowed to see the vehicle, but it was not ready for a test drive. I insisted that we test drive, but was brought in to do paperwork instead. I figured ok, no problem. I explained, as we start the paper work, that I was already approved by my bank. That news seemed to trouble Dave, he mentioned that we MUST finance with them. They don't like you buy without financing through them, since the owners make money with the banks and so they require you to finance. But he was nice enough ask for an exception, and he got it. He then proceeded to go though some numbers, so he got a piece of paper and started adding in more fees (he did waive some). By the time we got to the finance guy here is what it started to look like: $1995 down payment $1099 Prep Fee $295 Doc Fee (waived) $525 DMV Fee (insane) The straw that broke the camel's back was when he mentioned a warranty, and I told him that I had one included in my bank's financing. He had to ask for permission to waive this as well. When he came back, he introduced me to Kazi, another salesman there, who politely explained their warranty policy (that you must buy one from them), he offered that he would ask the company for permission and give me a response the following day. At that point, I explained that enough was enough, and that I did not agree with their style of operation, and would be looking elsewhere for a vehicle. So I left. About 45 minutes later, I received a call from Kazi requesting the opportunity to make everything right. He promised to have the vehicle ready for test drive the next morning. I agreed to discuss it the next day and see. Kazi called me the next day as he said he would. I explained that I felt that since I was fortunate enough to be approved with warranty already, that I did not appreciate such of what i felt was a run around. He was very apologetic, and courteous. I asked him for the no-nonsense price, and he told me 18,500 plus tax and tags. I took a day to think about it, and agreed to test drive and if all well, purchase. Kazi was off on the day that I went in to test drive and purchase. But he made all accommodations for me, so that I had a pleasant experience when I went back. I did. David had the vehicle ready to test, I did, and agreed to purchase. From that point on, I worked with David and John, the owner, whom were both professional, and courteous for the entire transaction. In the end, I purchased a fine vehicle at a decent price, from professional and courteous people. My only qualm is with the process, the added fees, hidden down payment, and the required finance and warranty, but at the same time, if I was not preapproved with a warranty, I would have had no issue with the latter. All is well that ends well!! I recommend this dealership, just be ready for the parameters stated. What cannot be understated is the professionalism of all three gentlemen, and especially Kazi for reaching out to make it happen. Thanks to David, Kazi and John.
