First reason why I enjoy Just Turkey: Burgers, polish sausages, all dishes that contain meat are turkey-based. It's in the name! Second reason: All whole wheat buns, and you don't need to make a special request for wheat. I was raised on whole wheat, so my system craves it from time to time. My one complaint: Just Turkey is hard to reach on the phone. The line is often busy, so it's easier to just stop by and order in person. If phone orders (or web orders) were easier to place, I could rate this restaurant higher. Bottom line: Good food. And make sure you try the taffy grapes. read more

It's unfortunate that I'm unable to give zero stars as it is definitely warranted. I placed an order for take out, jerk lasagna, tip and link combo and a small tip. I left the store after paying for the food the time on the receipt was 1705. I come back it is now 1800 they express to me that they do not have one of my items at all (the lasagna) and the the link from the tip and link combo. I inquire if they didn't know when we ordered about the lasagna and also if they were aware it was an hour since we ordered at this time. The woman at the register expressed that the link was cooking on the grill . She walks back to the cook and advises him that we've been waiting for and hour he states that it hasn't been an hour he just put them on it will take an additional eight minutes. She then turns around to tell me if it's not ready then it's not ready and we have to wait for it to cook . He removed the link from the smoker and places it on the grill.So we wait we received our food at 1820. I get home twenty blocks away to realize that what they've given us is a link with no tips. I call the store and advise the woman what has taken place she tells me that she was trying to tell him that's not what we ordered but he wouldn't listen. She tells me that I can get the correct order when I come in next time. I advise her that isn't sufficient I would like to speak with a manager or supervisor. She then goes on to tell me she cannot give his personal information. I wasn't expecting her to I will provide my information and expect their call she then laughs as I give her my number. On top of everything the food was gross and I was completely disappointed that I waited over an hour and had to deal with such nasty individuals. read more

This place usually has great food, but okay was a little bit different. I don't know if it's because it's their 10 year anniversary or what! The outdoor event they're having has better tips then they're selling . I'm a paying customer and I had to get the bottom of the pot tips ... they're burnt to and dry. I never experienced this with them, so I'm guessing the cook is tired and just letting the food burn or what... but on your next anniversary please please the customers as well as your event!! read more

I frequent the Lansing restaurant on a regular basis. The food is excellent and their sauce is great. Their portions are enormous that my daughter and I shared a large turkey tip and we were full. If you don't eat pork or beef like me, then this is a place to visit. read more

Drove all the way from Wisconsin to Evanston to try this place on 11/22/2015. The place could use more furniture and decoration as it was bare and somewhat uninviting. However it was clean. Even the bathroom! I tried the lasagna and my friend had the tips which I also tried. The lasagna was really good. The tips would have been except the sauce wasn't the best, edible though, just not for me. I ordered a bottled soft drink and it was flat. After checking the date on the bottom I noticed that it had expired 5 months earlier in June 2015. The cashier was prompt in giving me yet ANOTHER expired drink. I didn't complain this time since it expired on the 9th of November. I will go back because I want to try other menu items and the staff was nice, but I'll bring my own drink. read more

I purchased a Groupon Now voucher (one day deal) for this restaurant. I bought turkey legs for my two teens. It came with fries and sauce. I tried to ask them how the legs were. They couldn't answer because they were too busy chomping down. They loved them. My daughter cut the left over meat off and made a sub type sandwich for her lunch the next day which she also enjoyed. BEST Turkey Burger I've had in MY LIFE! I am not a huge fan of turkey burgers. I have to have a taste for something different to want one. I received one of their flyers in the mail for the Butter Crusted Turkey Burger, fries and a fountain drink for $5.99. I believe this is also a special they have during the week for lunch. Anyway, I needed to use the coupon before it expired. So, hungover and hungry, I went today to order. I had been previously and had ordered the deep fried turkey wing and that was just okay. I was too overwhelmed by the seasoning on the wing. I took my food home and was told by my neighbor, who was passing down the stairs, that my food smelled incredibly good. At this point, I was excited because I was thinking if she could smell it, it had to be good. I unwrapped my burger, which was neatly prepared with the perfect amount of condiments and veggies, to see that this patty was thick. I usually get nervous with thick patties because the meat is too much for me but I took a bite of this burger and my entire schema of life was changed! The toppings stayed on top of the patty. This WHEAT bun was amazingly delicious. This turkey patty was seasoned by the gods. I felt a tear well in my eye when I got down to the last two bites. I took one bite and finished off the fries, which they give you plenty, and stared at that final bite. I didn't want to see it go but alas, I indulged in that last bit of turkey burger greatness. Bad customer service. I came in 2/26/15 I stood at the register for 5 minutes without being acknowledged. 2 female employees were standing in the back and one then yelled for me place my order while I was never greeted and she was still standing in the back expecting me to yell out my order. By the time my order was ready she gave me the food without saying have a nice day, thanks, bye or nothing besides a bad attitude. So my first experience was awesome the food was exceptional. However, I guess that's because it was through Uber eats, and I didn't have to encounter the rudeness that was just displayed when o left out of there. wanted to try something new.. so instead of going for bbq pork.. i went with bbq turkey just to see how different it is! haha i ordered the turkey tips/ link combo and the fried turkey ribs. it is something different and need time to get used to haha.. but i am not a fan at all for their bbq sauce..it doesnt have that kick to it like most places.. it was sweetish..sourish? the meat on the turkey ribs falls right off the bone and is tender.. some of the turkey tips are very chewy.. the links was very salty.. also it came with fries but was eh.. i didnt like their bbq sauce and all my food was drenched in it so that really killed it for me.. maybe ill come back and try their turkey burger or something.. read more

Have had food from various locations & it's been good every time. The best turkey lasagna I've ever had, although it's a little greasy at times, it's well seasoned & flavorful. I get a pan for parties & everyone loves it. The turkey polish is very good, & a nice size. The turkey tips just aren't for me, have tried them a few times. I love ribs & the turkey version just ain't working for me. Now if they'd put one on the northwest side, I'd be happy! read more

The establishment was clean, the wait was minimal and the food was fresh and tasted great.

I will start off by saying I love the food well the wraps and the tips. But after the experience I had tonight I will NOT be returning to this establishment. I called in about a missing item from order and was told that the item was placed in my bag. I double checked and of course the item was still not there, so I called and the young woman and she let me know that she is not sure what happened with my item she packed it and sent if off. I said well I don't have it so can it be sent over she flat out said "no" that she knows what she did. I asked for a Manager and he told me that the "Grub hub driver could very well be eating my missing item right now" and if he would make another item he could go out of business doing that for customers (huh). I wasn't looking for a refund just someone who could've understood I paid for an item and I don't have it. Yet I was met with childish fingering pointing "I know what I did and it's not my fault" as if mistakes don't happen. From the employee to manager neither one of them knows how to properly handle even a minor situation and most certainly lack the communication skills it takes to handle a situation properly. My son lives in the area where the 43rd Street business is located and told me about "Just Turkey". He was bragging about how the turkey tips were "fire". He told me how other people he had told went there, and loved it! So yesterday, I decided I would take the drive down from 79th to 43rd and try the turkey tips. WOW! I forgot it wasn't turkey. The BBQ sauce was more than excellent. The turkey tips had the texture of pork without the grease and pork smell; and sometimes unchewable meat! I still eat pork occassionally, ribs mostly, but I stopped buying the tips, and I haven't had a pork or beef "hot link" in 20+ years because I just don't know what they put in it and I don't like that. So, now I will be trying other items on the menu; in fact today on the way home from work, I will be stopping to pick up a turkey "hot link" or a "jerk turkey burger". I can't make up my mind, and I can't wait! It was so good. I hope the other items are as good. But I can really just live with the turkey tips if not. Pure genius!!! read more

The food is pretty good but the lack of customer service and being able to talk to management or the owners is horrible. Just turkey hours on Sunday are 11am to 7pm and I waited 45mins for them to open. The cook was there but couldn't ring out because he wasn't trained to. The cashier was running late. Once she arrived I told her my frustration about waiting 45mins. She responded saying the "owner" called her last minute to get supplies which I seen her get out the car with two containers in a box. Not even a trunk load. Small box of two items which angered me more. I ask to speak to him and she directed me to there menu with the stores number. Which I already called earlier to place the order originally. The cashier said she can take a message and he takes the messages. So her saying that gives me a solid assumption he's not going to take care of this matter. I to run a business and the unprofessionalism and lack of customer service on the owners part and his staff that is not trained on damage control is mind boggling. The cook and cashier look like a deer in front of headlights. The overall experience was horrible and turned me off from the business in whole. I had other experience with just turkey where on a grading scale their grade would be a C- due to customer service and being on time. I will no longer give my time, money and energy to Just turkey.
