Just came here the other day. All the other barbers were busy, but Kathy was so inviting and welcomed me to her chair. She is amazing at cutting hair. Borderline, a wizard with the scissors. A maestro with the clippers. She had me walking out the barbershop more confident than ever and I looked pretty damn good. I would 100% recommend Kathy as a barber! Terrible service. Not sure the lady's name but I came in and asked for a haircut + straight razor. I am usually pretty generous with my tipping and was planning on giving a $20 tip on top of $40 bill. The experience went downhill as she blows compressed air right in my fucking ear at max volume.... Whatever shrugged it off.... Got my shirt collar soaked? Whatever shrugged it off... no biggie... spraying my hair all over my face... not a big deal she'll get it later....ohhhh she's doing all of this with an AirPod in. Great that explains why she has zero awareness of what she's doing... let's see where this goes Every part of the process was rushed. No dialogue, not that I need a fucking therapist but this was a $5 haircut if I've ever seen one. Then the straight razor shave, the final nail in the coffin. I thought I felt myself getting cut but wasn't sure. Then at the very end she shows the mirror and says "lot of acne" . Oh hell nah wtf that's not acne that's you cutting up my damn neck! wtf! I left and even gave a $10 tip. Went home and noticed how bad it really was. Came back to just get refunded the straight razor portion ($15). She gave me $20 and then shooshed me out with her hand. The audacity to shoosh someone out of your establishment after essentially injuring them is beyond me. Never go here, never recommending it, Do not go here. read more

They are nice people but they cut your hair base on how they like it. My dad was really mad. I feel bad because he was so excited coming to this establishment for a haircut and now I know he ain't gonna come back. My dad is a 78 year old veteran and the cut they gave him is for a younger man haircut. My dad's face says how upset he was. He clearly mentioned just to trim it. My dad has a longer hair. read more

We bring our 4 year son here and Lee does such a great job with him. My little one has trouble sometimes with haircuts. Lee is so patient and I think my son just feels his good vibe and does so well with him and stays calm. We don't cut his hair as often due to alopecia so I think that also may have contributed to not being accustomed to haircuts. read more

I don't often feel a service is so bad that not only would I not come back to give it another shot, but I also wouldn't recommend that others try it to form their own opinion. For context: 1) I couldn't see my usual barber in Pasadena due to the wildfires at the time, so I took a flier on this spot that one of my family members goes to and recommended. 2) Given that it was my first time at Justin's Barber Shop, I came in and didn't want to ask for a specific barber. I figured "how bad could it be?" ... boy was I wrong. There were three barbers busy cutting others' hair, but then Kathy walked over and said she was available if I wanted my hair cut. I said sure (great, no wait!) and sat down in the chair. After telling her how I'd want my hair to be cut and what number clipper to use, I let her get to work. In the span of literally 5 minutes, she was finishing up and pulling out the air gun (actually, lol) to blow off the loose hairs and clean up my hairline. When she allowed me to look it over in a mirror, it was the worst haircut I've ever had (and I cut my own hair with scissors multiple times at the peak of covid - those cuts were more even and looked better than the hack job Kathy did). She did not even out my sideburns, it looked like I had a bowl cut (not what I wanted) and shaved nearly to a buzz cut on the sides (again, not what I wanted). And the hair was left long on the left side but short on the right... basically the number of the clipper did not mean a thing in this case. It was a rushed job and Kathy clearly did not care or seem to know what she was doing. She goes "okay. You are done." and hands me a business card with her Zelle phone number so I can pay her directly. I did come back to the chair after and asked her to at least even out my side burns and the hairline up front. I didn't trust her to do any further work on the top or the sides. I wasn't going to write a review because I live by the "if you don't have anything nice to say, best to keep it to yourself" mantra. But, last week I saw my 2 year old nephew and his new haircut looked just as bad (exactly the same) as the cut I got. So I asked his mom - did you happen to go to Justin's? And of course, it was Kathy who cut his hair too. I'm convinced this woman knows one style of cut and does it on repeat all day no matter who the customer is or what they ask for. At least it's speedy?? Not worth the $30 in my opinion. I'd rather pay $50 for a quality cut elsewhere. So that's what led me to write the review. I was clearly not the only botched haircut from this spot, and it's worth letting others know. I can't speak for the others' work but I wouldn't let Kathy cut my hair, or my nephew's. read more

Great shop. They give perfect fades. I've been coming here for 3 years now since I've never had a bad haircut. I never need to schedule an appointment because every barber is great. Just keep in mind, like a lot of smaller barbershops, they don't shampoo your hair after the cut. I would definitely recommend this shop! Great barber shop! We will be back! The guy who cut my son's hair (not Justin but another guy) was quick and efficient! My son is only 1.5 years old (a very big energy toddler) and he basically screamed and cried the whole time but the guy did a great job. Skill level varies widely here and unfortunately the male barber I had is no longer there who was pretty good and ended up with someone who you can tell was never trained properly through the way the hair clippers glide across your skin. Communication was lacking too as all I got was a passive nod and couple of ok's when I showed them a pic with no other questions from her in regards to length but she just cut how she wanted. Horrible experience for, what I consider, a premium price when you can drive south and get a similar haircut for half the price. Poor man's fade is what I got. They fixed the AC Nancy has been cutting my hair for a few years now, she's amazing, she always gets it right every time. All the staff is friendly and have conversations with you, so you don't feel like you're just another client My only complaint is that it gets too hot inside, I sit in the corner with the door open and a fan blowing and I still end up sweating halfway thru my haircut, which is embarrassing to be honest. Came in for a Haircut on Sunday ..mind you I haven't been here in about a month since I was letting my hair grow out for a different hairstyle..there's only 3 Barbers my usual sees me come in and offers to give me a cut but it's been a minute and not to underestimate his work but this cut seems a bit challenging for a few Barbers ..last Time I was there one of his co workers cut my hair and did a fair job I was hoping he cut it again but this wasn't the case the previous barber my usual took me in and I made it clear to him how I wanted it this time and he said he was capable of doing that style of cut ..we'll that wasn't the case he messed my Shi*t up completely ir sucks because he tried to fix it but the damaged was done ..my advice guys if you're coming in for a Burst Fade this might not be the place other then that you're good. read more

Oh Mr. Pham, I have kept up with the increasing prices of yours. You always give an excellent haircut. This week's haircut was great. 5 start for the haircut as usual. However, you got to take a look at your customer service. During my haircut you kept yourself distracted, pausing several times, to take several appointments, text on your phone, take notes on your notepad, vaccum the floor and other tasks. I guess that's fine for me knowing you are always prompt and top quality. However, now when I ask for a beard trip - you tell me you can't as your next appointment is here. Well if you knew you had appointment why did you ask me to sit on your chair? You are asking me wait in line again for a beard trim from others. Is this how you treat your paying customers? Came here on a weekday morning and was in and out within 30 minutes! When I arrived it was very easy to find parking and the shop had its door closed. When I walked in the air conditioning was blasting, so it was very good for a hot summer day! I got my cut by one of the male barbers (forgot to get his name) and he was very quick! I told him what kind of cut I was trying to go for and he got it spot on. Quick warning, the pressurized air they used is VERY pressurized. Compared to other places, this place blasts the loose hair off your head, but they do block your ears so its not hit. Definitely recommend, if you're trying to get a quick fade! read more

This is not the place to go to if you want a diligent, caring, patient, and personable barber. I got my haircut by Justin, the owner, and it just felt like I was a number. He was done in 15 minutes and not even 10 seconds later his next customer was sitting down in the chair. Although Justin did his job, it was mediocre and he was quite agressive with the hair clippers and the air hose. Also, he's agressive enough to cut my mole on my hair and continued to go over it while it bled. If you need a quick and relatively cheap haircut without a meticulous and caring barber, this might be your place. Otherwise, I suggest going elsewhere even if its a little more expensive. I give a star for completing the work, another star for waiting less than a minute for my appt. read more

I asked for a simple cut with a faded one on the sides (even showed a photo) and to keep the top untouched, but she still ended up taking an inch off for no reason.
