My 10-year-old son was looking for a change from the basic haircut places, and I happened to find HeadzUp right around the area where we were having dinner. I decided to stop by and see if they could take him as a walk-in. My son had a very specific haircut in mind, and you can see the photo attached. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and helpful. They took the time to talk with my son, ask him questions, and help figure out what cut would work best for him. They explained what they were doing throughout the entire process, and at no point did we feel rushed or unwelcome. What an accomplishment how much he has grown and his barbershop over the past five years. From the vibe to the customer service to the service itself, this place has really grown. I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new barber after going to the same person for more than 10 years. I was particular about finding someone new, but I got lucky with Hesam (Sam) at Headzup Barbershop. From my first appointment, Sam made me feel comfortable. He's a genuine, down-to-earth guy and really easy to talk to. After going to him for a while, it doesn't feel like I'm just showing up for a haircut. We catch up, talk about life, joke around, and it has that comfortable feeling you get when you've known someone for years. I'm growing my hair out right now, and Sam has been helping me through the whole process. Instead of just cutting it shorter every time, he knows how to shape it, work with the layers, and keep it looking good while it grows. That's something I'd normally expect from a good hairstylist, and Sam knows how to do both. He can give you a clean fade or taper, but he also knows what he's doing with scissors and longer hair. At this point, I don't even tell him what to do. I just come in, sit in the chair, and let Sam do his thing. He already knows how I like my hair and beard and what we're trying to do with the longer hair. That kind of trust is hard to find. His beard work is always clean, too. Everything is blended and lined up without being overdone. He remembers how I like it, so I'm not explaining everything again every time I come in. When I make an appointment, that time actually means something. I'm not sitting around forever waiting, but I also never feel like he's rushing me out of the chair. After having the same barber for over a decade, finding someone I trust again means a lot. Sam makes you feel welcome, treats you like family, and I genuinely enjoy going in and catching up with him.
