I want to start by saying that I've been coming here for over three years now, and EB has consistently taken care of me for the most part. I have gotten a cut from almost everyone and they all give the cleanest fades and they are always friendly, kind, and welcoming to all the different people that come in. Over the years, I've seen them put a variety of music that really makes me interested in learning different cultures and faiths. Places like this make you want to come back, not just for a haircut, but because of the positive environment and respect people show one another. I especially enjoy coming in during the mornings because, even if I don't share the same beliefs or background as someone else, I can still listen, be respectful, and appreciate different perspectives. I think that openness and mutual respect are part of what makes this barbershop such a welcoming place. My guy has been dreadddinggg getting a haircut, he hates getting them and lets his hair grow out. But today was the day I convinced him to finally go get one. This was my first time going with him, and I wanted to pick out a really good barbershop for him, I looked online and have been eyeing this barbershop for a while. He's usually a super simple guy, doesn't know what he wants, and just goes to Supercuts every once in a Blue moon and lets them do whatever. I noticed every time he'd come back from Supercuts the cut they gave him wasn't flattering at allll for his face shape and I knew they were the type of place that was a quick in the door, and get out kind of place. I wanted him to have a different experience and wanted to take him to a reputable place that I know they'd consult him a little more. So upon reading the reviews and seeing how easy it was to book online I went ahead and booked him the spot. We walked in and we were greeted immediately, his barber was Dave who was so kind, sweet, and attentive. My guys the type who is simple, quiet and reserved and let's just get this over with kind of vibe, especially when doing something he's not comfortable with, but I feel like Dave handled him so professionally and read his energy and gave him a quick short and sweet consultation. I asked to watch just because I used to be in cosmo school and was fascinated by the barbering section and Dave was sweet enough to pull up a chair for me. Even though my guy isn't much of a conversationalist, I had fun conversing with Dave asking questions about barbering and where everyone from the shop was from. Allot of the staff is middle eastern and that explains why everyone was so friendly, charismatic, and the whole ambience felt so chill, comfortable and homey. I love their culture so much I have many friends and some family of the same culture, and the warm welcoming experience I receive at their houses I felt like we experienced here. Dave did an amazing job on his cut, he actually took his time and shaped his hair so well to a flattering cut, and was so cool explaining to us what he was doing, I didn't feel afraid to ask him questions. At the end he showed us some of the products he used and some of the colognes they sell and although we didn't purchase anything today we loved what he showed us and we will definitely be back for another haircut and to purchase some of the cool stuff he showed us. In the car on the way home I was actually surprised to hear that he actually had a really good experience and he definitely wants to come back to dave because he was actually impressed with how different this experience and result was compared to what he was used to, this is coming from a simple guy who usually doesn't care who cuts his hair and goes wherever to get it over with. But he actually seemed like he left with a confidence boost, and actually wants to return and become a client. He was interested in the products that were used, and I felt like we opened his eyes a bit that barbershops exist where they actually care about their clients and he got to see what an actual professional experience felt like , I think he didn't know it existed for men So I'm super super happy! This is my second time getting my haircut with Sam and the experience has been amazing. I think this is the first time I have ever found someone who gets my style right from the very first cut. Usually, with other barbers, the first few days my hair takes time to fall into place, but with Sam it looked perfect on day one, even better than expected. He is incredibly skilled and really understands how to create a clean, modern look. On top of that, he has a great vibe, he is professional, and he makes the whole experience enjoyable. I've been coming to Headz Up about 4-5 times now. I've done the beard line up and haircut as well as the full Headz Up special treatment with mini facial and steam. Dave has been my barber and has made great recommendations to cut and style my hair and beard to suit my face. Some things I wouldn't have tried on my own but am really happy with the results. Each visit we get things more and more dialed in. The shop itself is clean, great vibe, good music, and overall you can just chill and let the stress fade away or chat it up and have a laugh. Tbh I wouldn't recommend coming here - lack of customer attention/ service to the client. Second time booking and was scheduled for a 3:45pm appointment. Got here 2 min late but my barber wasn't here?? Okay sure maybe he's busy or something but showing up 15 min late to your own appointment is not it, then they have the audacity to rush my haircut because they have their regular show up for their next appointment. Fan-freaking-tastic. The vibe was a modern-cool environment with a ton of barbers. There were 5 people ahead of me and everyone was scene in minutes (although I was seen immediately because I had made an appointment). They read your comments when you book. In mine I had stated that I was using my lunch hour to get the 30minutes hair cut and I asked if it could be quick. DAVE, came out, said he saw my message and said no problem. I showed him a picture of a prior cut and he immediately went to work and didn't waste a minute. I mentioned if I had more time I'd want a beard cut also, he let me know he'd need more time and there would be an additional charge. I loved the honesty and transparency (it's a business after all).
