I have been searching for a regular colorist for a VERY long time and I finally found her! Katie Dalager is the best colorist I have found in the Twin Cities that doesn't cost $500 for a full foil or tint. She is very knowledgeable with what tones will work well with your skin tone and does an amazing job EVERY SINGLE TIME. I brought bleach blonde extensions in for her to match to the rest of my hair (which is a light to medium blonde) They match perfectly! I couldn't be happier. She has colored a few of my girlfriend's hair as well, ranging from dark brown to bright blonde. Each time my friend's have raved about her. This spot has devolved to "worse than Great Clips, for 5x the price". I arrived on time, there were 3 greeters. 1 was avidly stocking product (not something you'd do in front of guests) and 2 were talking amongst themselves. After 5 minutes at the counter, I finally asked if they could help me. Yep, have a haircut at 6. They said have a seat. No, can I get you some tea? No, our tea is self service, and delicious, please help yourself. If offering tea has no longer be one part of the customer experience, please advise me of the change. So, I sat down, helped myself to cold stale tea, noticed 1 of the 2 tv screens was not working, and proceeded to wait 20 minutes. 10 minutes too long. I asked at the counter, is my stylist running late? Well, yeah, maybe she is, they said. I asked, assertively, can ya check? My time is valuable, I've been waiting 20 minutes without an update. i go downstairs to the inconvenient bathroom, it's a mess! And there are random color trays everywhere, littered around the floor. Finally, my stylist retrieved me. No apology for my 25 minute wait. I explain what I want. She's so chatty, she stops 5x to stand there, tell me a story, yada yada, I'm at Juut Edina for 90 minutes for a short, simple haircut, $100. She pushes me to buy a hair thickening product, when I already use 5 products daily, and my hair is the thickest hair I've ever seen. Next day I style my hair, it's a disaster. It looks like a mullet. Short on top, long on back. This is NOT the Juut Horst envisioned. I hope David Wagner is embarrassed. Never, will I ever, go here again. And neither should you. read more

I admit it. I am vain about my hair. I won't relive the horror of the many times I have left a hair appointment in tears. Luckily, that has never happend in the 3 years I've been going to Juut in Edina. Everyone is nice, professional, and trendy--forget needing a magzine for inspiration on your new do, just check out the styles the daymakers are sporting. Last time, I ended up getting bangs because the woman 2 chairs down from me made them look so good. For brows you must see Rae. I did not know brows could look that good. For hair Matt W or Christopher. Matt has a pretty big following, so be prepared to book an appointment pretty far in advance. I needed an emergency cut last time, so I saw Christopher instead. He was phenomenal. Christopher is recently back in Minnesota after living in Cali for a few years, so he is easier to get an appointment with and bonus he is slightly less expensive--though equally as talented so I imagine his list of loyal clients will build rapidly. These cuts are not cheap, but they are high quality. They grow out well, so I find I can go longer between appointments and even out the cost. Get ther early and enjoy some scrumptious tea before your appointment--heavenly! read more

If you want the best color ever go to Haley. And Callan gives amazing cuts. they are both super cute and hip. In college i dint have a lot of money to spend on my hair and it got damaged from home dye treatments. I have been going to these 2 girls exclusively for the last 2.5 years and my hair is beautiful and the healthiest it has ever been. On that note it is a little more pricey than other salons but the stylist have double the training. they have to complete an Aveda Degree then additional training at the Juut school, and it shows! I've always had great experiences at Juut! This time was no exception. After moving to Seattle last year and having some not so great color jobs in my new city, my blonde hair was in bad bad shape - orange, damaged, etc.. Terrible customer service. This salon just wasted 25 minutes of my time. Had an appointment for a brow wax at 3pm. At 3:16 I went up to the desk to ask what was going on and they said "oh we had you at 3:15". Actually no you didn't. My email confirmation is at 3:00. At 3:24 still no acknowledgement of my wait. I walk back up and tell the desk that I have been here for 25 minutes and I'm leaving. They didn't say a word to me and just watched me walk out. Nice Juut. Really disappointed. Paige did exactly what I said I didn't want! Me: I'm sick of having a bob and want something different. Paige: *gives me a (ugly) bob* Honestly, I look like vintage Dorothy Hamill. Chin length bob with tons of texturizing on the ends so they poof out wider than the top. It's BAD. And more importantly, NOTHING like I said I wanted during the consult about what she was going to do. Two stars instead of one because my bangs are cute. Came to this salon to have the black stripped out of my hair... I left with barely any hair an the stuff I did have was green and mushy. The woman clearly didn't know what she was doing. Andrea's manicures and pedicures are the best I've ever had. I used to be in the industry and have seen more than my fair share of nail technicians. Not only is she extremely reasonably priced, my nails always look PERFECT when I leave. In addition, her gel nails last longer than anyone's. Ashley Landmark is an AMAZING colorist! I showed up having only colored my hair once before. I explained what I liked and didn't like and showed some photos of ideas. She knew exactly what I wanted and how to make it happen, made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the whole process, and was super easy to talk to. I did a full balayage and it turned out absolutely beautiful. I want to go even more blonde so she and I made a plan to do 2 or 3 more treatments spaced out so I don't fry my hair. I'm already excited to go back because I trust that it's going to turn out amazing once again. In addition, I decided at the last minute that I wanted to get my hair trimmed once the coloring was done, and she made the arrangements for me to be fit in with a stylist right after. I decided to come to this salon because I have heard good things about Juut and I was making a dramatic change to my hair style. I went from having very long hair to the middle of my back to very short hair, about two inches on top. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted the exact hairstyle to be. Lyndsay Knobel was awesome and made me feel very comfortable with getting this new change. She helped me pick out a hairstyle to start out with and I left feeling great about the way I looked. She even stayed for an extra 15 minutes to make sure I had some product samples. The only down side was that it was an expensive visit. read more

The salon itself is beautiful and the staff that helped me until getting in the chair were great. However, Bethany did my hair and while I wasn't disappointed with my hair, she spent most of our time dissing the products I'm using on my hair and the business that my friend and I both run. I'm very happy with my hair and the products I use, and don't know anyone that has the problems she is talking about. I simply just told her what I use when she asked and she spent nearly the rest of the time telling me her very rude opinions of the products, and ending with "but you do you." She also spilled bleach on my sweatshirt and ignored my messages when I confronted her. To top it off, she posted a very rude instagram story about the products I use, and my friend responded with some research that explained the products better, and Bethany attacked her entire life "You guys are all 20 something year olds who just don't want to work and just message girls off Instagram to join your pyramid scheme. Let me know when your lease on your Benz runs out and when your company goes bankrupt just like every other pyramid scheme out there." After messaging my friend two months ago inviting her to get in her chair, and also following everyone on my friends team. Really not impressed, not professional at all. Cancelled my next appointment, I can get blonde somewhere else when my personal life is not attacked while in the chair. read more

Juut Salon is a complete ripoff. I went there for hair extensions last year and spent $400 on a few extensions. They put the extensions in and then you have to pay another $80 to trim your extensions. My overpriced (I didn't know how overpriced then) extensions then began slipping and falling out. I called to try to get this fixed but my stylist was on vacation and it would cost me a lot more money if another stylist would fix my extensions. So I went 3 weeks wearing hats because I couldn't wear my hair down. I finally get in and they charged me $320 to get the extensions fixed, plus another $80 to trim. So, now I've spend $880 for extensions I haven't been able to enjoy. Then the new extensions started falling out and I had to go back twice. Then they made me sign a contract the when their extensions fell out I would have to PAY another $40. I didn't know it then, but I was completely ripped off. I went to a different salon and paid $100 for extensions (including the trim)....so that's $380 LESS than Juut AND the extensions actually stayed in my hair. I have been going to the new salon now for many months and have never had even one extension fall out. Don't go to Juut. Their service is less than awful and their prices are off the chart robbery! $880 for extensions I had to hide. Unbelievable!!!!! read more

Like a few other reviewers, I see Shawn exclusively for my waxing. I've been coming to her for at least 4 years and, even after months between appointments, she always remembers details about me. She also makes me feel comfortable and calm (which is important when you're having hair ripped from your body). I'm willing to pay more for this kind of great customer service. I really like the concept of Juut and believe in David Wagner, the founder. However, I've had sub-par experiences here after repeatedly giving them the benefit of the doubt. For as high as their prices are and how much marketing they do to make sure everyone thinks they are #1, I was left disappointed. My first experience was with a leg wax, and although the lady was really nice, she talked entirely too much and made me feel uncomfortable! Next, I tried their top tier stylist whose profile indicates he has worked on clients such as Beyoncé , Madonna, Katy Perry etc so I was excited. I was not blown away by the price ($350 for a partial balayage and gloss) and for someone who has an assistant, I would have thought I would have been comfortable and well attended. Everything about this interaction felt cold and forced. I left with dye on my scalp and forehead and an empty feeling. The last straw was booking a haircut on the website for later that day, showing up 10 minutes early, only for the awkward front desk person to say nothing more than "sorry" because she didn't see my appointment in the system. I wrote to Juut about this experience only to receive no response. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I really wanted to like you, Juut, but it's time we see other people. read more
