I was never told my built-ins would be completely removed, I only discovered it after the fact. Had I known, I could have arranged for proper removal, but instead they were torn out in a way that left them unsalvageable, costing me thousands to replace. Afterward, the company pointed to the notes fine print rather than acknowledging the lack of communication. If you use them, insist on a clearly explained scope of work. If you rely on professionals to help you navigate confusing home repairs, like myself, these aren't your guys. Update to response: First, I want to be clear that I don't believe Adam or the company ever acted with any intent to mislead me or cause harm. I think this situation came down to a lack of communication that unfortunately left me in a difficult position. About 90% of what Adam said in his response is true, but none of it directly addresses my actual concern. The real issue is whether the company made sure I fully understood the scope of work. Perhaps Adam thought... what idiot would not see it was obvious that the entire built-ins would need to be removed? Hi... it's me, I'm the idiot and truly I had no idea. I thought only a portion of my ceiling would be affected. Given the huge difference between what I understood and what actually happened, I believe the company should have explained this much more clearly. Like many homeowners, I rely on professionals to explain the scope of work in plain terms. I think that's a reasonable expectation. Adam is correct with my quote below but he left out the part where I explained that my issue was solely that I didn't know the built-ins were being removed. This was never clearly communicated to me, nor was I given the opportunity to remove them properly myself. Because of that, I feel my ability to make informed decisions was taken away. I only reached out to Adam directly later, after another contractor told me the closet could have been saved and that the removal was "unnecessarily destructive." Whether that's true or not, I'll never know. because I wasn't given the chance to find out. To clarify, the note about the built-ins wasn't hidden in "fine print," but it was only mentioned once in the "Other Notes" section. It was never discussed verbally, by email, or over the phone, and it wasn't included in the detailed action items. I don't think a single mention buried in a notes section qualifies as meaningful disclosure, especially when no one pointed it out or explained its implications. Perhaps Adam does. Lastly, the other points raised, like the quality of the closet materials, water damage, or insurance support, are not relevant to my concern. My issue has always only been about the lack of clear communication regarding the scope of work. Thank you.

1 star - Would Not Recommend…read more We hired this company to handle mitigation work in our closet following a roof issue. While they were able to complete the job quickly, the overall experience was deeply disappointing and I would not recommend them. The Good: They were responsive and able to get to the job quickly, which matters in a mitigation situation. The Bad: The work was messy and careless. Sealant ended up on furniture that was well outside the containment area, and when we raised the issue, the team showed little accountability or willingness to take ownership of the mistake. The drywall removal was also poorly executed. Rather than making clean cuts, they tore it out recklessly, damaging surrounding drywall that was otherwise in good condition -- creating additional work and cost for the rebuild team. The Dealbreaker: My biggest concern was their resistance to providing dry logs. Our insurance company required them, and I had to essentially argue with this company just to get documentation they should have readily provided. In an insurance claim situation, this kind of pushback is completely unacceptable and added unnecessary stress to an already difficult process. In summary -- fast response, but poor workmanship, little accountability, and a frustrating lack of cooperation on critical documentation.

We contact multiple vendors to come and looks at the issue, but none were as thorough and experienced as Mark and his team. From the beginning to end, the experience has been stellar. Mark arrived to look at the issue promptly. He was able to identify the issue accurately and was honest about the necessary scope of the remediation work. (Other vendors suggest a smaller fix which ,in hindsight, would not have solved our issue in the long run and would require additonal work later on) Throughout the entire process, he constantly communicated the progress of the work and kept us update on the schedule, something that we appreciate since its the first time we have to deal with mold and water issues. Last but not least, Mark and his team take great care in carrying out the work and handling our belongings in the work area. If you need any restoration work done, I definitely recommend Quality Assurance Restoration.

I contacted a few different people, but Mark was the first to be willing to make it out to us that same day. After checking out the damage, he put my mind at ease and gave us the rundown of his plan of running a few fans and dehumidifiers in our utility closest and in the crawlspace. I asked him a bunch of questions I had, and he answered each one with ease and helped me understand what was going on. In the end, Mark and his team set up the fans and dehumidifiers in the spaces and left them for a few days. We were considering getting new tiling and he recommended Jose from Neza Restoration & Repair. Jose and Fernando also did a really good job. What makes Mark stand out from the rest is his availability, clear communication, and just being a down to earth guy. I felt I could trust Mark, and may have overstepped when asking for advice outside of water damage, but was he willing in answering and helping me out. God forbid I have more water damage in my future, but if I do, Mark and his team are the first ones I'll contact. And I'll be referring them to every person I know seeking water damage help from now on.

I tried to do my own investigation and work but could snake anything out and was able to get about 20' in the line. I Called Roto rooter on Thursday. They came out when I asked. They had to pull the toilet in order to snake. The drain tech spent an hour or so but couldn't get past where the sewer line dropped a few feet to go under the foundation. The tech called a supervisor who brought in a camera. I watched the camera. Clearly it was sludgy and clogged. More work was clearly required at this point. That was all fine. The tech and supervisor were great. This was a $750 service. Note this DID NOT clear the line. Although the paper work says that the line is cleared and warranties for 6 months. That didn't make any sense and should have caught it sooner. If the line is cleared then why is further work necessary? I should just kept calling him back every day since it was covered in the warranty? The first quote for excavating up to a 10ft section near my foundation and under a concrete slab, to jet the entire line, and to install clean out was initially $11,500. I definitely hesitated with that quote. I definitely pushed back asking what part of the labor I could get done, such as tearing out concrete, etc. the field supervisor made a call and came back with $9,500. I then tried to get the initial $750 snake work removed since it didn't do anything. But I was told that would most likely not happen. I should've pushed harder especially after seeing the paperwork saying it was cleared. Ha - that's a blatant lie. So all in $10,250. I was initially okay with this and signed all the papers for the work to commence. I did ask for a break down of the pricing. But only received a generic description of the work. Now that the work is done I do wonder about the pricing. Three guys worked on this line. Two guys worked on the excavating and new pipe install 4' of sewer line and 6' of clean out line. I clocked about 9 hours of on-site labor. The guy who hydro jetted the line was probably on site about 2 hours. I guess that's for you to judge. They did partial work on Friday 10a-12p and then 4p-6p and finished on Saturday 1045a-345p The costumer service was great. I was popping in on all the work being done. Anytime there was a camera involved I was looking over their shoulder. And they were cool with that. Definitely wanted to see and understand the process. Which made me realize I should've just rented the excavator myself to install a clean out and then just paid for the jetting. All the work comes with a 5 year warranty on parts and labor.
