I am very impressed by their first responding email, which is well organized and informative, listing all the info I need to know about my upcoming move project, including the preparation, the move process, service scope, the charge rate (and the detail how they charge), the cost estimate, insurance cover and other XYZ, which makes me believe they are very professional and choose them. The coordination process is agreeable and efficient (thank you, Danah!), and the movers are really professional and efficient: Dustin and Anthony from Garland location arrived on time, provided an accurate cost estimate per hours it takes to accomplish the move (and they actually finished the job early). During the move process, they are efficient and gentle (to carry and place my belongings), carefully wrap and protect my furniture, and they help me to disassemble my huge bed frame (and reassemble) which I have trouble with, and coordinate with me in a very professional and decent approach. All in all, I'm very satisfied with their service, and I'll hire them for my next move.

    BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

She took the story of one group of individuals and didn't even ask me my side or to get the facts of the situation. This business needs to outline their terms better if spots are not able to be reserved (which is standard by the way or companies clearly state in terms that they don't honor them). I said I was there at 2am and waited for a bit in line but ultimately had to leave for a bit to then return only to be yelled at by the owner and told I don't have to shop the sale if I don't like it. The owner refused to even hear my side at all and decided to listen to a group of individuals side instead. Typically if there is an issue, the patrons shopping can handle it amongst themselves without the company involvement, especially if in the terms it doesn't specify that spots can't be reserved. I also stated that I was going to text, but due to the hour I was there in line, I didn't want to send it because of how late it was. Again owner didn't actually listen to me or attempt to get my side before joining the mob against me. Poor customer service, I don't need to use the actual service to know that. Part of your job is hosting a sale effectively and showing customer service because ultimately we are also customers buying the items you place out. The owner is extremely unprofessional. Maybe you should update your terms correctly and ensure their are no gaps in it. I clearly stated I never save spots and am one to sit outside for hours but my circumstances for that day didn't allow me to do so. Saving spots is a standard thing that happens amongst people who attend sales so if you won't honor it, make sure you're clear in the terms you put out there

I had quite a bit to pack and move in June 2025, and moved into a three story townhome. Considering that, I felt $3500 was a fair price. Last week, after downsizing quite a bit, doing most of my own packing (much of my stuff had never been unpacked and was still in AMS boxes from last year., I called them again based on my experiences in previous moves Unfortunately I didn't read recent reviews. They offered a "complimentary" kitchen packing, which I accepted. (It's not complimentary!) The crew of three men and one gal showed up- gal in charge. One guy was great, the other two did t speak English and were like two of the three stooges. Laughing. Goofing around. Boss lady stayed in the truck and listened to something with headphones for hours. Then she decides to start packing the kitchen after 5 hours which ran the clock even further. Two Stooges Moe and Curly dropped my sofa, damaged the frame. They continued to mess around. Unloading was even worse.. I don't want to pay for someone to screw on lampshades. I need assistance to MOVE boxes and furniture. The guy who was hard working left between loading and unloading. In short: instead of the quoted price of $3500, I was charged $7500! I called customer service and they knocked $400 off labor because the fourth guy wasn't there to help unload. The movers broke a mahogany dining room chair, damaged my buffet, sofa (then tried to hide the damage) and a few other items. I will never ever recommend them again, nor will I use them to move again. Horrible customer service from Troy, horrible experience with YaYa and her two stooges. They acted like college kids helping move for beer and pizza! Hideous!

However, after seeing they had an A+ rating through the BBB while being a sole proprietorship since 1995, my skepticism became engrossed. Not to mention, this was the only moving company that would physically come out and assess my home and belongings. I really appreciated the time and commitment it took for Teresa to come out and take a look at what all needed to be done, rather than just ask me a million mediocre questions over the phone without any discernment for what is unseen. We have several valuable possessions and family heirlooms that are undoubtedly priceless in memories alone; therefore, we were taken aback with relief and solace when we were reassured our effects would be handled with great care! We discussed everything from packing materials and their pricing (we really appreciated their not-to-exceed price considering a lot of these other big-name companies have charged us with unmentioned fees in the past) to the furniture covers they use to protect our furniture that would be used during the entirety of our move to even what equipment they would need to be able to safely move some of our heavier, more substantial items. Our experience with this company just in the planning of our move far exceeded any other company we have tried moving with before. On our scheduled moving day, Teresa called to inform me when her movers were on their way and to assure me everything was on schedule and all according to plan, which was another sigh of relief in our very hectic, stressful time of moving. The movers arrived and were very courteous and hospitable. They never let us lift a finger or break a sweat! They worked in sync with one another nonstop in the middle of the August-Texas heat while maintaining professionalism and delightful attitudes! They successfully transferred our belongings from our old home to the next without any mishaps or setbacks. They made the unpacking process smooth and painless by unloading our things in an organized manner as well as reassembling our furniture! This whole process was such a breeze compared to our moves in the past! My husband and I were very impressed by the way this company was able to alleviate all our worries and stress during the entirety of our arduous journey of moving. The professionalism and dexterity this company had shown us made me write this review because the experience my family and I had was well beyond our expectations, and we felt it was very much needed to ameliorate any of those previous reviews that too had made us skeptical at first! We're grateful to have trusted Teresa and her company with this project! We will be highly recommending this company to all our family and friends who are looking for a hands-on, family-oriented, honest company!

    First of all, I am missing boxes. One box clearly marked "fragile, jewelry box"…read more A box of hardback books with 3 Family Bibles in it. A medium box of towels and sheets. The Jewelry box had high school rings in it, 2- 2 Dollar bills and precious coins with angels on them. I guess I should not have marked the box with " jewelry box" on it in red marker. :( Some of my furniture had minor damage on it. Even though they were wrapped with blankets. Master bedroom bed the hardware was missing. We had to run to Home Depot to get parts. My Dryer had a knob broken on it. Cost me $190.00 to replace. They used furniture dollies to move the refrigerator which was too heavy for it. And unbalanced. Instead of using an appliance dolly. I blame the hot head manager for that. He was rude and yelled at me. I asked him to leave my home. Broke a light globe in the kitchen, had to order on one line for new owners. Would I use them again No. Would I recommend . Do your research and read reviews!!! Be careful.
