JVS did a great job and I would definitely use them again. They were communicative, on time, and fair with pricing!

Your Wine Cellar - The Traveling Tastebuds

    Your Wine Cellar

I do not know much about wine or wine making (not a big drinker) but joined a dozen of my friends…read morein my foodie girls group to test and make our own wine at Your Wine Cellar. The larger the group, the cheaper your own total will be! Your Wine Cellar is hidden inside of Brew Kettle and Top Golf in Strongsville, nearby Walmart. Don't be fooled by the outdated Google Images of a place with its own sign - it no longer is labeled clearly. Meg was our host and director of our wine making adventure. She was great! We went through a dozen or so rounds of wine tastings to decide, as a group, what we will make. Each sample is $1 and I only tried a few, sticking mostly to the fruity ones. I liked the California Moscato the best of the whites. I only tried one red, the Diablo. The Diablo was the one we ended up making. The making process took about 10 minutes. We also were able to order food from the Brew Kettle. The food I ordered for lunch will be part of the review I wrote for Brew Kettle, which will be published soon after this one. Overall, I had a fun time with my friends, learning about what kinds of wines we like and don't like. In 8 weeks, we are coming back to bottle and label our wines! The entire process ended up being $20-25 a person.

Each one had something unique to offer, and it was great to compare and find our favorites along the way. The staff made the experience easy and fun, which made for a really nice afternoon. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

We initially waited in line for an hour upon arrival, but by around 3:45 PM, there was no wait at all! Be prepared to stand and bring some cash or cards with you to indulge in the delicious and reasonably priced fresh snacks available. You can also warm up next to the fireplace at the Chalet while enjoying your treats. They offer alcoholic beverages as well, however, I am not interested in those. For just $15, you have the opportunity to slide up and down the toboggan chute as many times as you'd like. Make sure to visit soon as they will be closing by the end of March 2026.

We decided to go last minute and it was past 2 pm when we tried to reserve tickets (it wouldn't let us). We decided to call the park website and the employee helping me was able to put my name down for the last few slots at 3 pm. That was very kind of them. You are required to wear gloves when you go down on the toboggan (probably to protect your fingers from the cold since you are required to grip ropes). There are a number of stairs you have to climb to get to the top. There were a good amount of people there and we probably needed to wait 15 minutes each time to ride, but the line got shorter as it got closer to closing time. They didn't allow people to enter the line past 4:45 pm since it closes at 5 pm. It was $15 per person but so worth it! What a fun and unique experience. I got to go with my 66 year old dad, my 33 year old sister, and my 18 year old brother as the toboggan sits up to 4. With this many big people on, it made the toboggan go pretty fast! There's a speedometer that calculates your speed for you. It's a little scary but thrilling! Follow the employee's instructions. We even got to race each other because there are 2 chutes. Our respective employees each tried to give our team boosts (my employee hurried to let us out first while the other employee pushed my brother and dad a bit for them to catch up). Would definitely come here again!
