my family has been JW Jewelers clients for the past 25 years. We relocated to Texas 2.5 years ago but visit Maryland often. Every piece, except 2 pieces have come from the glass cases of JW. I bring my jewelry back at least nice a year for maintenance and repairs. I left all my jewelry with them to check all stones and clasp and was told it will take a week. Showed up two days after the original completion date. made the mistake of waiting til i got back to Texas to check everything. Bangle bracelet clasp was never fixed and a diamond had fallen out. Wedding ring was welded together, weld broke and lost a diamond in the wedding band and anniversary band. my husband bought me a tennis bracelet from JW for Christmas 2020 and it just broke today. My other bracele, the repaired clasp is still messed off and we cannot get the bracelet off. I really don't know what happened. I have been bringing my jewelry back because I trusted them so much. i have has a ring reset and they did a fabulous job. I had a pinky ring that was 100 years that was not round but lopsided. Shannon, took it from me to look at. she cleaned the darn rams heams head and reshaped the ring in minutes. I was stunned. I also went to them at Christmas to look at a sapphire. In two days they were able to show me samples to look at. they were fabulous. They are less costly than other jewelers in Prince frederick and their customers service has ALWAYS been fantastic. First time ever walking into a jewelry store after getting engaged. Monday November 20th 6 pm. (My ring was not purchased from the store.) I don't own any rings, so my boyfriend had no clue on what size to buy. I couldn't fit my ring over my finger at most times and needed windex to get it on and off. The girl greeted me and was friendly, and when I said I needed a ring resize she tested a few sizes to help pick one. I was Between 2 sizes and she said to go with the smaller size since my hands were cold. She then took my ring and told me 7-10 for pickup and they'd call when it was ready. It was over a holiday I called 11 days later just to see if it was ready because I was in the area. The lady on the phone said you were promised in dec 4th. (I was not given a date at drop off.) She then said it just needed to be cleaned and polished and I could pick up after 4. I told her I wouldn't be able to get it at that time but would be in the following day. I went around 1230 Saturday to pick up, and was told I would have to wait 20 minutes for it to be cleaned and polished. I was already running late to meet a friend for lunch so I left (upset) saying I'd return Monday. My boyfriend decided to go pick it up instead, knowing they told me it was going to ready after 4 on Friday. When he brought it home the ring was still very tight and I needed windex to put it in and off. In the mornings I still can't get it on. I tried the next few days to see if My fingers were just swollen that day but still had issues. I then called back to ask about the resizing process. Same lady that I talked to Friday. I asked a few questions about times of day to come based on fingers being swollen, and how long the process takes. I then told her my ring had just been resized and it still did not fit. She looked up my information and then brought up again how I expected my ring to be ready 'earlier then what was on my order, (the date I was never told because I was initially told 7-10 days). She also told me I was one of hundreds of customers. I was clearly upset about my ring still not fitting. Regardless of me being promised different dates, The issue I called about was I still can't get the ring on my finger. Im not sure why she had to bring up the 'date I was promised' issue again. I expected an apology on the resize. Overall, the initial girl who did my resize (although it wasn't the right size) was very nice and friendly. However, the lady I dealt with after that was not friendly and made me feel belittled by how she spoke to me. I appreciate her willingness to resize my ring again free of charge, but after this experience I will not be using JW for future services. read more

My engagement ring was purchased here, and when we went back to have it sized I was expecting to have to leave it for at least a day, but they had it ready to go in just a couple hours. The staff is super friendly and they have excellent customer service as well as beautiful jewelry. read more

Beware of them doing an appraisal for you, the clerk clearly said $75 and it turned out to be $150 because the wedding band was in the box with the engagement ring, they were rude and after calling around to several other stores the prices they charge for the appraisal are at the very top end. I received my appraisal and of course they didn't value them at even half of what they were worth, I drive straight to "Kay" jewelers in the Annapolis mall and they gave me 125% more than JW Jewelers did, the whole place seems sketchy. read more
