When I returned with the watches, another incredibly helpful sales associate, Lexi, took them right away, clearly explained the cost, which was extremely affordable given the watch types, and she set expectations with ease and professionalism. Less than 10 or 15 minutes later, a gentleman emerged with my watches in hand, fully operable and ready to go. Wow. Exceptional service. Fair pricing. Genuine people. Is this 1982 again? I am writing this very negative review to show the lack of common decency and non professionalism that this establishment shown me. I dropped off a very important family heirloom that belonged to my dad at JW JEWELERS on July 3rd.. after arriving their I spoke to a gentleman about the repair and he told me that by it being so close to the holiday it will take a few days to repair the item, I ask could he give me a date that the repair could be done he told me next Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.. I agreed to the time length and left my item with them to be repaired..a few days have passed so decided to call the store and check on the progress of the repair.. this was Tuesday . I was told that the item was in route to another location to be repaired and it should be done by Wednesday... Wednesday came and went and no one had the decency to call me and let me know anything.. I called once again on Thursday only to be told that the person who is doing the repair just got the item and they would let me know by days end when it's done.. well by days end no one bothered to call me .. so Friday afternoon I once again called only to be told that it won't be ready until Saturday... At the time of the drop of on my item I stressed that I needed the item by weeks end due to me leaving town. The gentleman I spoke to assured me I the item will be done before I left town... needless to say the item never got repaired I had to rush there to pick it up ... No one at that business never even came from the back to apologize for their lack of professionalism.... Whatever happened businesses caring about the customer? What ever happened to common decency... ?? A simple " hey sir we are sorry about not being able to take care of your item " would have went a long way... I came in to get several watch batteries replaced and to get a link taken out of a bracelet. The cost to have the batteries replaced was the most reasonable I had been given by competitors large and small. I was able to comfortably wait for the batteries to get finished and it took no time. I was able to get it done on my lunch break. I also had my tungsten bracelet fitted while I waited as well. The customer service was warm, inviting and they made you feel like a valued consumer. I brought in my Michael Kors watch to have the strap replaced- it is a rubber composite and they did not have the strap nor the size so the sales guy- Jay, said he would order the strap and the due date states 1 week from when I dropped of the watch that it would be ready to pick up. Well a week went by, no phone call from JW, so I called to check on the status, and the response was a non chalant, "well the strap hasn't come in yet..it should be in next week, call then". A week goes by, and again no phone call from JW, so I called and the response is, after a 3.5 minute hold, "well the strap is still not in..it might come in next week..call back next week". Are you effing kidding me? Why would you put a due date on the receipt knowing the order can take so long? So I told them, I wanted my watch back, since they were holding it- went to pick it up and there was no sorry and no alternatives given to me on where else I could take it. Owners are nice but thats all I can say. I had a custom ring made, so excited to pick it up and after promised dates came and went i got to see my ring a week and half after the promised date. Very disappointed and embarrassed to wear the ring I brought the ring back to fix it but I still needed to take my ring to another jeweler to fix the ring. Then to an insult to injury JW Jewerls lost my original rings that they used some of the stones from. If you are just getting a watch fixed or purchasing new pieces for you or your loved one JW Jewerls can handle it but if you want custom pieces find another jeweler. read more

I brought in my wedding ring to be resized. The price seemed fair and they gave me the receipt and told me it would probably be done before the end of the week. The weekend came and I heard nothing. I popped in on Monday and found out that Jay was not feeling well. It is a small family business. If someone is out there is not many folks to replace them with. They told me that my ring would be done by that evening or the next day. I got a call first thing the following day. I went to pick up my ring and the work was beautifully done. JW Jewelers is a fantastic store, run by wonderful people. My father had always gone here for repairs to his things, so it's now my go-to based on experiences. I brought in a ring that had its Emerald fall out, and when they got done, they not only built up the prongs and put the stone back in, they cleaned the ring inside and out, cleaned the stone, and tightened up the other mountings. It looks better than when I bought it. I have taken *dozens* of watches here, for repairs, batteries and cleaning, and what I get back always looks spectacular. And I have bought things here. They have repaired a watch of mine twice after the bracelet fell apart, including repairing the damage from the fall, free of charge. Have done a lot of business with JW, workmanship is super, and they are alway very helpful, they tell you like it is, and they are honest. They are a small business and it can take some time to get specialty items in. Bottom-line, they will work with you, and if they have all the right pieces, they'll get it done on time. Can they do all the things a big Bethesda diamond exchange can, Yes, but it will take time; so if you have a small bladder, don't expect to stand around and wait for it.... I can get stones and some pieces much cheaper than they can thru my international contacts, so I bring those items in because Jay's workmanship is superb and I like it done right the first time.... My recommendation for those impatient people who require speciality items or designer parts, buy them yourself, then you can snivel to the vendor when it doesn't meet your delivery timelines. I would give them 5 stars, but they can afford to have $100K blue or yellow GIA Certified diamonds in stock.... read more
