Jason provided us with an in-home visit with a sample replacement window, and explained the various features of interest and options. He helped us arrive at a suitable energy-efficient Simonton models to replace 5 of our windows at a reasonable price. He also measured all the windows to be replaced and promptly provided a written quote. Three of our replacements were for original 30+ year-old single-hung windows which were no longer functional because their balances had failed. The replacement Simonton windows have a better design that obviates the need for such balances, which was of added value to me! The total window order, measured and made to order, was received by JWG within 3 weeks and installed within 1 week. JWG Windows arrived just minutes before the scheduled time for installation. We were fortunate to have a second installation crew (Alex and Ricky) join the first crew (EJ and Cody) during the installation process, which allowed the entire job to be done within 2.5 hours. These two teams operated smoothly together in good spirits, were respectful of our property (using drop cloths in each work area) and cleaned up the work areas. After they were installed, EJ demonstrated the windows' operating features, provided me with the manufacturer's warranty and answered my questions. My sales rep, Nick, was great to work with--responsive, professional, and got my large picture window ordered and installed nearly a month ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, the installation didn't go as smoothly as hoped. The new window arrived with two visible scratches, likely a manufacturing defect rather than an installer issue. Still, I'm left with a brand-new "replacement" window that already needs a warranty claim. Nick is handling the follow-up, but it's disappointing that the product quality slipped through inspection. He always responded quickly to emails and text messages, both before and after we signed the contract, and he patiently answered all of my questions. Broke the out-ter glass of our double pane sliding door. While doing yard work. We tried to find replacement with Escondido Glass only to find that they closed their business. Got in touch with Jason of JWG and he came promptly to measure the door. We then order the door and he told me when the door will be expected. Sure enough, the door came in the time he estimated ; and Alex and Ricky came to have our new sliding door installed. They were super nice, competent, and meticulous with their work. We've been eagerly awaiting our new windows. On install day I think there were a few small hiccups behind the scenes (an employee had moved on, one installer was sick), but they adapted, communicated well, and did an excellent job on the install. We have two large fur babies and they were very careful and helpful as we shuffled the pups around to keep them secure and out of the way. They even worked around our vacation schedule on the fly for our 2nd install day. At the end of the job I had a nit picky punch list of tiny details and they happily engaged and made little tweaks to make us happy. Great company to work with. The sales rep Doug was very patient and professional with me even though I changed my mind a few times. The crew Alex and Rickie did a wonderful job. As we did the walk through, the window latch was a bit stiff, Alex just took out his drill and fixed it a couple of minutes, Alex the wiz. The price was higher than other quotes I got, and since a bird crashed through my window, I didn't have time to do as much shopping around. At least the work was done well. The window was tinted a bit, I wasn't expecting it. Guess I am not average and would prefer totally clear glass since the windows are north facing and my old windows had clear glass. I usually wouldn't leave a review for a company who didn't technically do a job for us, but Mason was so helpful I had to leave some feedback. We had the unfortunate luck to deal with a kitchen flood this spring. While doing an unexpected kitchen remodel, I wanted to replace a window which had been broken by what I like to call the great kombucha explosion of 2022. It had broken our garden window, which I loved since we have such a small kitchen. I'd been told by our contractor and friends that the window would not survive the remodel, which included removing a countertop from inside the window. I knew we needed a typical window replacement and my garden window would be lost. I called JWG and Mason called me back to schedule an estimate. We met soon after and this is where the story gets good. Mason suggested another option to help me save the window. He even referred me to another company to help me. I first contacted Mason at JWG Windows to replace 2 sliding doors and a window in my condo 2 years ago. I also contacted 3 additional reputable companies for quotes. The quote I received from them wasn't the lowest, but was close enough. However, where they stand out is in how they responded. Mason replied to many questions regarding door dimensions, glass surface, sound ratings etc. No other company bothered to reply (I assume the job was too small to warrant the reply). Finally, after 2 years I was ready to purchase the doors and the whole process went smoothly. Alex and Cody were the installers and they finished the job quickly and left everything clean. Reached out via Yelp for a quote and got a quick response. They came out for a quick assessment and gave us a quote very soon after. The quote was reasonable so we went with them. The windows are custom ordered, so it did take 6 weeks to get them in stock but their team showed up on time, and installed 5 windows in a day. We did unfortunately have an incident were one window was cracked. JWG handles the repair request through the window manufacturer and the manufacturer sent someone back out with a new window about 4 weeks later at no additional charge read more

This is a tough one. Had a great experience with JWG, had them out to look at the windows of a house we were purchasing. Our home inspector noted most of the windows had fogging issues. We wanted an estimate of replacing these windows, so we had Tony out. To our surprise, he said only 2 windows had fogging issues. This was great news at the time. Unfortunately we are now in the house and it is very obvious that many of the windows do in fact have fogging issues. While Tony didn't charge us, it did ultimately cost us significantly. Repairing these windows will likely be over $10k (probably closer to $20k), a cost that would have definitely affected the offer we made on the house. He's very friendly, seems to be generous, but I unfortunately can't recommend him. read more

It is so difficult to decide which window company to select when it's time to replace windows and/or sliding glass doors. We decided upon JWG---based upon its unsullied reputation---and what a marvelous decision it was indeed! JWG replaced our three, 35-year-old sliding glass doors with sparkling new Anlin Malibu sliding glass doors. The value and quality are so far above and beyond our former doors that we are now pondering why we waited so long to move on this project. Over 20+ years ago, the previous owner of our new home installed vinyl dual-pane windows. Alas, some of them were installed improperly and others on the south side got beaten by the sun, the seals broke and argon gas leaked through which made them very cloudy between the panes. Fortunately, I knew who to call and reached out to Nick again because JWG had done such a fabulous Job on our condo. Since our last window install, the supply chain shortage has happened. Prices were up and it was a longer lead time for install. Rather than replacing ALL the windows, we prioritized the fogged-out slider and failing/cloudy windows and left the remaining 4 that were still in ok shape for perhaps another few years. Luckily our windows came in sooner than expected! Cody and Mario did a great job on the install. The install took a bit longer than expected - because of the underlying prep that had to happen for some of the bad spots. All in all they worked really hard and were here from about 8:30-6:30 p.m. I didn't even see them take a break! Only hiccup was the keyed door handle didn't arrive on the door, but Nick got it taken care of and Mario came back and installed it yesterday. We're really happy to finally see out clear windows in our new home - and Penny loves the new doggie door Nick had suggested! It's in the back corner in the glass - so we can close the slider or leave it open and she still has access to step outside to do her business or to check the perimeter for security detail! read more

I reached out to JWG windows to get a quote for new construction windows - Nick responded pretty immediate. We had a very unique situation where the previous pwner removed all the original floor to ceiling windows in the bedrooms and we def want to re-install windows that mirror the original character and mid mod feel of the home - Nick was always responsive quick with email and texts - they advised that they did not install the windows which was a huge concern to me but Nick assured me that they had a very good sub contractor that would take very good care of us - we measured and re-measured for the windows at least 3-4 times along with the sub contractor being involved - the windows were ordered (felt the cost was very fair) it took about 4-5 weeks The install was completed yesterday and we are very happy with the entire process - the sub contractor cleaned up and always showed up on time he also listened to us when we needed to think thru the particular molding etc - If you need windows this is the place to go - now we know why they have over 200 5 start reviews read more
