I got my windows installed with them 10 years ago this month. Everyone who works for them is extremely friendly and professional. They had excellent and fair prices comparable to Home Depot. Where they defer from Home Depot is the two times in the last month I had them come out for a minor warranty issue, they arrived literally the next day and we're quick and professional. I have tried to get a screen replaced with Home Depot and it's taken literally 4 months and they did it wrong. I don't know what else you could possibly want in a window company but BM windows has it. read more

BM Windows replaced about 26 windows in our home about a year and a half ago. It was in late August and really hot. We immediately realized a significant drop in temperature inside our home. I did a TON of research and had a half dozen quotes before deciding on BM windows. The brand of windows (Anlin) they install were very high on my list of manufacturers but in the end the customer service was probably what sold me. I primarily worked with JT and Doreen but did also get to meet the owner as he came out for confirmation before putting in the order for the windows. Everyone was very personable and very easy to get hold of and communication all around was great. I do so some folks saying that they were met with unfriendly or rude interactions but I find that really hard to believe. There was definitely nothing special about my job or initial inquiries that would have afforded me some extra level of attention. We had a pretty big job I think. We had 17 windows and some pretty tricky install spots. Our home is older and has several additions over the years and it made for some big challenges but in the end every window had a really clean install and they all look great. It has been such a huge improvement on noise reduction, insulation, and overall looks. On our install day we had 3 crews I think so they managed to finish up in one really long day. All of the crew members were very friendly and polite and hard working. They did a great job communicating with us on site and got our approval on anything that was out of the ordinary. We have only had our windows for about 6 weeks now but so far they have exceeded our expectations. Anlin makes a really good product. If things change over time I'll update this review but so far so good. They performed without any issues during recent rains and are keeping the home way cooler than before. read more

I had a great experience with BM Windows. They use the Anlin window brand for their retrofit window replacement. I had a more difficult shaped and they were able to come up with alternative solutions to make it work without compromising the integrity of the other windows that it was attached to. The whole install took around 8 hours. It took around a month between when the quote was made to when the windows were ready to be installed since they made to order. I had called a couple of places for quotes but this one seemed the most reasonable for the quality of window that was being offered. All in all a great experience, thank you Jim! read more

I called yesterday for a quote for a new french door installation and a garden window installation. Ms. Doreen who answered the phone immediately asked for the measurements for the door so she could quote me over the phone vs sending a representative for a formal quote at my home. She proceeded to tell me if it is too expensive for me they didn't want to waste their time. She told me a garden window was 5-7k and too expensive, not to even bother asking for a quote. I am not sure how long Ms. Doreen has been in sales but her customer service skills are piss poor. I have yet to receive a call back. Moving on. I have had 3 other window/door companies stop by with formal quotes and financing options, if I even need to go that route. BM Windows will continue to lose customers with this attitude. read more

Good value, responsive, and reliable. I asked for a quote on Yelp for window replacement and within minutes I got a message from Doreen. We got an appointment set up and J.T. met me at my rental on time on a Saturday morning. He explained the options thoroughly and explained the order lead time/delay due to COVID-related issues. The windows arrived earlier than expected and installation was promptly scheduled soon after. Installation was also on a Saturday per my tenant's request, the two gentlemen arrived on time and the entire installation process was very efficient. They kept the place clean by putting blankets on the floor, and they removed the old windows carefully and cleaned up all the broken pieces of the old frame and glass. A couple days after the installation I got a satisfaction survey phone call from Doreen, and the receipt and warranty info were mailed to me right after, along with a thank you card signed by the owner. The overall experience with BM Windows was very refreshing. It's been a while since I worked with such a reliable contractor, especially during COVID. I love when I give a 5 star rating to a company for installation; then later need additional service, that the same company once again proves me right demonstrating my first impressions of their service was not flawed. JT came that day to measure everything and ordered the windows. 6.5 weeks later when the parts arrived, they installed everything in 3 hours. They arrived sharp at 8am, and were cleaning up by 11am. I had a great experience with BM windows. I needed to replace 20+ windows and 2 sliding door. I compared 3 different brands - milgard windows vs simonton vs arlin. I really like Arlin after visiting showrooms and seeing the product in person. However I was worried that it would be too expensive. Jim came and did a careful measure and gave a very reasonable price. The order and installation were smooth. It has been almost a year since they replaced the windows and doors. I contacted BM Windows to request a quote for a replacement for one of my very large Anderson windows (which I've been quoted to cost anywhere between $5k-$7k). However, I was informed that the company has a three-window minimum requirement, and Doreen Bennett suggested I check with other companies such as Window Depot, Home Depot, Lowes or Dixieline for my project. I then informed Doreen that I had four more windows to replace as well which I also want to be installed as Anderson windows (again, quoted at $10k). Doreen then called me, but her demeanor was rude, unhelpful, and short. After my interaction with her, I decided not to engage in business with BM Windows, as their lack of interest in my project was evident and apparently they aren't in need of business. read more

We found some intense mold in our house, and the mold abatement company suggested we get a window contractor out to see if the windows were leaking and caused the mold. Jim from BM Windows came out and spent time looking at our existing old Simonton 25-year-old windows to see if they were the cause of the water damage. He even checked the inner sealing to see if it was still good. In the end, our windows were installed incorrectly (hence why we could never open them easily) but they weren't the source of the water damage. But, since our windows were so old and didn't open easily, we decided to replace 4 windows with BM Windows. Jim came back to talk through some options and gave his advice on how to configure each window based on its location. The BM Windows team came out to install the new Anlin windows once they were ready, and they even added extra sealing when we told them how we want to avoid future water damage. All in all, we love the new windows! We were super happy 6 years ago when we selected BM Windows to replace and install a new slider in our previous home that we did not hesitate to select them again in our new home. I received 4 quotes for redoing our windows. Two promoted Simonton and two promoted Anlin. When J.T. came out to do our quote, he suggested we go to the showroom to see the differences in the windows. This was incredibly helpful in our decision making as to which brand of window we would like to narrow it down to. All of the quotes are comparable without any one significantly more or less expensive. BM Windows was able to offer some small upgrades to the 20 windows we were doing: Anlin sound package and sash dead bolts. When accounting for these extras, the price came out to approximately the same as our other quotes. We did the standard Anlin low-E glass for all our windows except 3 that we had SunMatrix for. After deciding to go with BM Windows and signing the paperwork, the windows took 6 weeks to arrive. BM Windows offered to do the installation that week. Installation: On the day of, Carlos arrived on time and provided us with a courtesy call as he was heading over. He brought a team of 4 others: Francisco, Mario, Mario, and Pedro. All of them were incredibly courteous, respectful of us and our space, and kind. They worked quickly, efficiently, and kept all of their work spaces really clean. They laid down blankets during install to keep our floors clean. They were there from 8:30am to 4:30pm and finished all in one day. A few issues that arose: a window was cracked during install, two windows were missing sash dead bolts, and one of our windows hadn't arrived with the others. I called BM windows a few days after and Doreen was amazing at making sure all of my concerns were addressed. Anlin called that week to inform me a replacement window was ordered. Two weeks later, BM Windows called to let me know the last window had arrived and they came out the next day to install it. Carlos came out again with Francisco and quickly installed our last window. I asked them a few questions about the other windows which they happily answered. They even helped us install the two missing sash dead bolts to our sliding windows. Overall: Service - 5/5! We were so impressed with this Company from start to finish! We received 4 different quotes from other companies to narrow down our search. BM windows quote was comparable to the other companies and also offered upgrades that the other companies did not. I also chose BM due to the initial customer service I received from J.T. who came out to give us the quote. This sets the precedence for how I thought this process would go. We decided to go with the Panoramic Anlin window due to the quality. We did the paperwork, and the windows were delivered in 6 weeks just as they said they would and was also a shorter turnaround time than the other companies. The installers showed up on time and were all so friendly and professional. They completed the install of 23 windows in 8 hours which is truly amazing! We were so impressed by the care they took before they started the install. They put down drop clothes on our stairs and covered anything that may get dust on it before they began. Once they have a signed contract the professionalism and customer service go downhill at least it did for us. In fact the sales person who came to our home and put together all the paperwork was so nice and professional until after we signed the contract. Then it was like Dr. Jekell and Mr. Hyde. If you have a complaint don't complain because you will get excuses and disrespect. There should be a penalty for businesses that store your credit card information without your permission and charge payments without first contacting you. This company claims they don't do that, but they did with us. And since then our feedback was received with rudeness and disdain. In addition, one of the windows did not have the sash bolt hole drilled so we can't bolt the window. A minor oversight, but still, hello, pretty important yes? Wish they were as aggressive about fixing that oversight as they were about charging the final payment. It was so insulting and communicated to us how we were personally viewed as a customer. Not very important. And according to their own words they don't do this with any other of their customers apparently just us. The rest of the experience was pretty good. The actual windows are good. The installation was pretty seamless. But I guess since they know that the average homeowner is less likely to buy windows from them again as oppose to other types of customers maybe that's why we were treated so poorly they didnt view us as a big time repeat customer. So where to start on my window project. First off I had multiple bids on several companies. I narrowed down to researching Anlin windows which is a high quality for retrofit windows. Now, I compared from Anlin Del Mar (DM) vs Catalina model windows. Now, Anlin's market scheme to make some extra money by throwing in a couple of snazzy upgrades on the Catalina now called Del Mar more to make it sound more energy efficient and more expensive. Now, when you actually look at the specs of DM vs Catalina, the specs are different by .01 on SHGC. What made BM Windows stand out is that their standard Catalina comes with the sound package. Pretty much matching DM model specifications without the DM price gimmick. Now, it's competitor down the street was pissed off at me cuz even I wasted 4 hours with this sales guy to pitch to me that Anlin Catalina isnt comparable to Anlin DM. Also that he would sell his Catalina windows without the upgrades BM have standardized. Also, they were so pissed they were trying shame BM windows as a glazing contractor with a c17 license (ok really?!, Noooo shiiiiii). Anywho, BM Windows did not try to stay at my house for 4 hours trying to win my bid. They did not try to upsell me anything I did not need. If anything, they provided me excellent service and quality to allow me to confidently trust and earn their business. They did not throw other companies under the bus. They quoted very competitively. I honestly felt comfortable and did not feel pressured. It felt easy as if I was talking to a friend or neighbor. Shout out to JT, Mike and Doreen for making my experience amazing and being so patient with all my questions. Every member on the team was very knowledgeable in the product and able to answer any questions on the spot. Their warranty is also top notch which is also why selected them over others. First off, I worked with Jim, the general manager and sales consultant. He was excellent and very detailed. Jim did not miss a trick. He measured and wrote up this detailed order correctly and everything came in perfect. Then, five weeks later the crew came out with the windows. The entire job was done in one day. Like another reviewer, we researched windows and selected Anlin for our retrofit, and then spent some time researching contractors. BM Windows had an excellent reputation and our experience so far (installation today!) has borne that out. JT was fantastic during the evaluation and bid process. He knows his stuff and was able to advise us dispassionately about our various options. We knew from our own research that he was giving good advice but it was better than Google research because he was the expert who could see our needs and situation. The quote was very fair and in line with what other people in our complex have paid for similar work. Doreen, the person who talks to you on the phone, was a part of our decision to go with BM. Our windows are beautiful. They have changed the atmosphere in our home as they have kept temperature control. With the old windows I would sit in the living room and feel cold air on my back. Michael installed our windows about 12 years ago. They are still beautiful, and we are calling him again today to get an estimate on my Dad's house. He was just getting started then. In fact, I believe he saved us, as the company he worked for was going out of business and the salesman wouldn't return our calls. They are very reliable with good quality of work. They completed all 13 of windows within a day! Let me add yet another 5 star review. We solicited three bids. We had reps selling Simonton and Milgard come out for bids, but settled on BM WIndows, which represents the Anlin line of windows and their sub-brands. We chose the Bayview line since we were putting windows into a condo and didn't want overspend. All of the reps were informative, but I learned the most about windows by the BM rep. He was the third one through, so perhaps my questions were sharper. Nonetheless, we weighed the various offers and chose the Bayview, which offered a good blend of quality and value. They had estimated a Jan 3 install, but it was subject to delays based on weather (and the holidays). We ended up being pushed back 5 days, which is not too bad given that we got 5+ inches of rain in November and December. One thing about these windows is that they are manufactured in the central valley and are trucked in via the Grapevine. Snow can cause disruptions, so if you are ordering during the winter, that could be a consideration. All things considered, the five day delay was pretty reasonable. We were responsible for taking down blinds, drapery, and clearing a path to the windows. The installers (Francisco and Pedro) arrived on time and worked efficiently. They removed the existing windows and brought in the new windows without dinging the newly painted walls/railings. They used tarps and cleaned each room as they finished. It was interesting to watch them work. They were done by 3:30 after installing 2 sliders and eight windows. The windows have made a tremendous difference in terms of heating and noise. We live behind a sports field. Little League tryouts kicked off the day after install. We couldn't hear the announcer when the windows were closed. The nights have been in the 40's and our house would have been freezing with the old windows. The new windows were nicely insulated with spray foam (tip: you can use spray form in outdoor cabinets if you've been battling rats. They hate it and you can fill empty cavities with the foam) and retained heat. Doreen, who runs the office, is great to work with. Jim was knowledgeable. Francisco and Pedro were fantastico. You really don't get how much heat and the AC cold leak thru your windows until you have them all replaced and suddenly you're freezing in your house at a time when it's usually warm/comfortable. And that's my experience as I write this. Bundled up after a nice sunny day with my AC having cooled faster and kept cool longer. Only change? The windows. The BM Windows team installed all of my brand new windows and doors this week. When looking for vendors for this project back in May I looked at 4 or 5 different companies and we ended up deciding on BM Windows. Not gonna lie they were not the most inexpensive, but they had the best communication, presence and price comparison wasn't over the top. Keep in mind mine was a large order, literally the entire house save for 3 windows (bathroom windows) and 1 door (to a balcony). Not gonna lie it took a little while to get the windows in, but that's entirely outside of the company's control given that it's all custom built and it takes however long it takes. Especially these days. Once everything arrives I was called promptly to schedule the install. Doreen was always kind on the phone when I called in a couple of times to ask about any updates. Finally scheduling the install all in one day was a lot but it was a seamles experience. The crew was polite kind and mindful of my baby's nap and worked around it with me. We're thrilled with our new windows and doors and so appreciative of all the support and service we received from the BM Windows team. Especially now that we have an awesome doggy door in the family room that my dog actually uses!! (That door is what started it all and it did not disappoint).
