First - I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the way Pelican handled the scheduling of the install - or rather, bungled. The crew arrived at my home this morning just after 8:00 am with no warning at all. Surprise! It turns out their scheduler sent an email July 18 with notice of intent to install to a fancifully incorrect email address. And, when they received no response from me (and why would they?), no one at Pelican deemed it prudent to follow up with a phone call. Fire and forget? 2 stars. The process to set this up was painless. Their sales/frontman (Isael) paid 2 visits, took careful measurements, explained my options and was a total professional. Not the least bit pushy. 5 stars. OK - on to the install. In a word - slick. The 3-man crew was efficient and from what I can tell (pics attached) did a very nice job removing the old, and installing the new. Again, very professional and respectful of my home, its contents, and my time. No fuss, no muss. The whole process for 6 windows was over and done in 4 hours. Again, 5 stars. The end result - no more drafty louvered windows, replaced with energy efficient, double glazed, argon gas filled windows. Originally thought it was the dryer vent that needed cleaning but realized that was not the issue. I called and made an appointment a couple days later. After he cut a small square from drywall behind the drying machine, the two air ducts werent attached, which was the reason behind moisture getting out (which is not only a fire hazard but could have been a huge mold headache issue). It took about three days to fix (first day being majority of work, cutting drywall, getting new airducts from home depot and securing it once installed), the second day was putting drywall back and spackling it to dry then following day was to smooth and paint. Would highly recommend for his communication, attentiveness and fixing the issue with a reasonable price.

I live in a 1967 mobile home and my archaic, single-pane windows had to be replaced. Two of them in the living room were literally coming off the frame! I got quotes from 4 Cos. and finally went with JWG. Any commercial review [of a Company, Product or Service] should be based upon several parameters, all of which are inter-woven into an intricate tapestry. I have taken 5 of the 7 Ps from - The 7 Ps of Marketing - to write this review. Product, Place, Promotion, People and finally, Price. 1. Product. The Monte Verde brand of Windows offered by JWG are of very high quality. They are manufactured by Anlin - a reputed Window & Door manufacturing Co. located in Northern California. They can hold their own against the Andersons, Milgards and Simontons of the world - at an unbeatable price point. You can look up Anlin on YouTube. 2. Place. For California customers this is a big boon because the Co. is, "right in their backyard!" This saves time and a big chunk [make that Big Chunk!] of money in transportation costs. 3. Promotion. A product or service depends upon Advertising to get noticed by the customers. Right? Not exactly true. In today's online world, customers look up sites like Yelp and similar websites in order to get all the information about their project. I knew about the other Window and Door brands out there, but had not heard about Monte Verde and Anlin. I found JWG on Yelp - which is how I discovered the Monte Verde series of windows manufactured by Anlin here in California. The most advertised products or services are not necessarily the best. Some of the most reliable and reputed products are rarely seen in newspaper ads or TV commercials. They are sold by word-of-mouth advertising. 4. People. Thomas J. Watson, the iconic founder of the mainframe computer behemoth, IBM, has said that - The Salesman is the Face of the Company. He had strict dress codes for all IBM sales people. This guy [Jim] who came out to my place to take the measurements and give the estimate, was very professional. There was no coercion or high-pressure selling of any sort. I can tell you that The Product Sold Itself! The 2 installers [a Caucasian and a Hispanic] who came out to my place were also very quick and efficient in their work. They were at my door dead-on-dot at 7:59 AM! I had just woken up as it was my Off day! They completed the job [4 windows] in 2.5 hours, leaving no mess behind. 5. Price. I got 4 quotes and finally went with JWG because of the unbeatable combination of Product Quality and Attractive Price Point. There was another Co. that quoted me for the same Monte Verde Windows, but their price was $800 higher than JWG. So...if you are looking for decent, high-quality Windows and Doors at an ethical and economical price point, I strongly recommend that you give JWG Windows & Doors a call. You will be talking to Jason, the owner of the Co., or his associate, Jim. Last but not the least...I am in no way connected with the Company or its owner. I've owned and reviewed dozens of major home products over thirty years, and had high expectations when I with two Milgard branded sliding windows for a 15-year-old home. The installation went smoothly, the frames looked clean, and for the first few years, the performance matched Milgard's reputation for quality and energy efficiency. Unfortunately, that reputation has not held up over time. Within five years of installation, both bottom sliding panes developed cloudy, fogged glass--clearly the result of failed seals. This wasn't a matter of user error, poor maintenance, or abnormal conditions; the rest of the home's original windows, from a different manufacturer, remain clear and intact after 15 years. The premature failure of both Milgard units raises concerns about durability and quality control in their seal manufacturing process. Equally frustrating is the warranty and service experience. Aside from the Ai Chatbot going in circles wasting time processing the claim, Milgard markets windows with long-term performance claims, yet real-world homeowners like me face the costly and inconvenient reality of replacing fogged panels far too soon. Given that these failures occurred on two of two purchased units, this appears less coincidental and more systemic. To Milgard executives: homeowners value your brand because of its long legacy of craftsmanship and reliability. But if seal integrity and customer support don't match your branding, that trust will erode faster than your seals. Please take this as constructive feedback from someone who wants to see Milgard lead in both product quality and after-sale accountability. Until then, potential buyers should weigh long-term performance carefully before investing. Design and efficiency matter, but reliability over time is what earns loyalty. Great experience from start to finish. We received bids from 3 companies to replace 13 windows and a sliding door. Mason from JWG provided an informative presentation and clearly answered all of our questions. Received a written bid the same day. They beat the quotes from the others on the exact same product (Anlin/Monte Verde Bayview) by more than 10%. I liked the fact that the upfront deposit was 10% of the total cost, with the remaining 90% due on installation. Jason the owner did the final measuring and I was impressed with his level of precision to get it just right. The windows arrived as scheduled, and there was no delay for the installation appointment. The installers arrived promptly at 8am. You could tell they were experienced and had a very efficient process. Nobody was standing around. They were friendly, respectful and professional installers. They were done by about 3:30 and left my house cleaner than when they arrived :-) The windows look great, are super easy to operate and keep the temp inside the house more consistent. All the upstairs bedroom windows and a downstairs window facing the street have the 'sound package'. One of the panes of glass is 1/8 and the other 1/4, they help block different sound frequencies. They are very effective and noticeably reduced the noise from cars, motorcycles and the neighbors pool pump. The additional cost was minimal, $30-$50 per window, but since this is a once in 25 years type project, it is worth considering. Everybody at JWG was great to work with, they did exactly as promised, on time and on budget. Can't ask for anything more from a contractor. read more

Jason and his crew installed a complete set of new windows and 3 sliding doors shortly after my wife and I moved into our Rancho Bernardo home in 2011. This was the fourth job JWG had completed for ourselves or our family members over the past decade, and we have always been extremely satisfied with the results. Jason again took the time to explain in detail all of the hardware and esthetic options available to us, and was willing and able to work within our budgetary constraints. During the installation, I was again impressed and gratified to note the professionalism and craftsmanship which was demonstrated by the crew, particularly in ensuring the fit and finish of the newly installed hardware was spot on. The 3 sliders and 11 windows were up and the job completed in a single day as promised, and all evidence of the removal/demolition of the preexisting hardware and related scrap was removed. Mason's quote was spot on and when the windows arrived, they all fit perfectly. The installers were professional, quick and completed the job on time. Romaldo, EJ, Angel, and Perry were very friendly and really know their job. Even during the current heat wave, we can tell the difference in the coolness of the house (many of our largest windows face directly west; previously they were all hot to the touch when it was hot outside). This company was recommended by a friend who had his town house retrofitted by Jason and JWG. From the first phone call, Jason was prompt and very clear on all options and quotes. I hoped that this would translate into a well trained and professional crew. It did. They were on time and even moved the install up a few days. I am going to re-drywall our family room so the installers left me some extra seal strips and even cut around all fittings so I can replace that with ease without disrupting the newly installed windows. We had the heavily advertised company (Anderson) give us a written proposal for 11 windows and a patio door. Then we checked the BBB for a local A-rated firm and found JWG in Poway. Doug came to our home on schedule and gave us a proposal that was 1/3 the price of the national company. Their installers work for the company for many years and did a perfect job for us. We had them come back and do four more windows (that's the whole house). As a former planning commissioner my suggestion for a major purchase is to get two written proposals, check their BBB record, and don't sign anything until you have discussed it with your family. I honestly can say that the national company was high pressure to sign right away but JWG was more easygoing. read more

Great experience. Before calling them, I got a bid from Home Depot on five windows, including odd-shaped windows. I was unsatisfied with the sales representative's knowledge and reluctance to give opinions when asked. In contrast, JWG's rep, Mason, had years of experience and was fully conversant, knowledgeable and helpful. JWG Windows did an outstanding job replacing our old sliding glass door with French doors that included installing a doggy door in the side glass panel. The replacement doors look fantastic and they were thousands of dollars less than the other bids I received. I have always been happy with my windows and doors....still function like they were installed just yesterday....quality products and great people working for Brothers makes it a no brainer. Really fair price and great customer service. Brothers was referred to me by a coworker and I've since referred them and had three others do their houses with Brothers if you need a window or a whole house worth....I wouldn't call anyone else. I'll update once they complete this door for me....and I know I'll be happy with their work!

They are some of the best contractors I work with. Their customer service is excellent, they show up on time and work until the job is done. They are professional, I can't say enough good things about them. The installers I got this time were: Issac Peter and Jesus They were dog friendly, down to earth guys who went above and beyond for me at every step. I will continue to go back to this brothers for our window and sliding door needs.

We had been quoted anywhere between $5,000-$15,000 to replace our sliding patio doors with French…read moredoors. Our garage is detached, so we could not lock our old patio doors, meaning if we wanted to use our garage, we either had to leave the house unlocked or walk around the block to our front door. We were told by all the other contractors that our doorway was a weird size, and that they were unable to install the doors without cutting into our drywall and stucco and removing our patio stairs. We were also told this would be a project that took multiple days. I posted our other quotes to Yelp to see if other contractors could beat it, and Sivan responded. Oded from Sivan came in and confirmed what I suspected: That what we were told by other contractors was wrong, and that they could easily replace our sliding patio doors with French doors with a lock, and that it could be done via retrofitting and would only take a matter of hours. Everyone at Sivan was easy to work with. My husband and I frequently have meetings during the day, so it's hard to have a call about house stuff. Everyone at Sivan was able to communicate via e-mail and text so we could handle things while in meetings, and they were super responsive even though we sometimes took months to respond because we had a baby since we originally reached out to them. We were able to get our doors done for $4,298.80, which was the best quote we had from any contractor and included labor, materials, and a warranty. In sum, we highly recommend Sivan if you are looking to replace your doors!

I recently had all of my windows replaced in my home with 360 Windows and Doors…read more I first met Zach at the showroom and he showed me some of the windows they offer and how they were made and took the time to answer and questions I had, and explained the differences between each of the window types. I later met Malake who facilitated the transaction. Malake was wonderful and put the whole package together and was very good at keeping me updated with changes that might occur. I called her on the weekend in the evening and she still answered my call. Absolutely awesome. We ran into a small issue with sizing on a couple of windows from the window manufacturer and 360 Windows simply offered an upgrade to those windows that had the issue at no extra cost. Talk about taking care of your customers. Lastly there was a small hiccup with the screen door that didn't make it into the shipment for my sliding glass door. 360 windows contacted the manufacturer of the windows and for whatever reason it was further delayed. Not any fault of 360. I spoke to Lauren on a few occasions regarding the screen and she decided it was taking too long to get the screen from the manufacturer and Lauren contacted a local vendor that manufactures screen doors and sent them out to build a custom screen door since the original vendor was having issues. Much appreciated!! Everyone I encountered at 360 Windows was awesome. They were patient with all my questions and friendly, responsive, explained everything and informed me of any changes. The install team were punctual and really on top of the job. I am very happy with my experience and highly recommend this company. Thank you all for a great experience. I have had neighbors ask me about my windows and I will be sending them to 360 Windows and Doors.

Where they defer from Home Depot is the two times in the last month I had them come out for a minor warranty issue, they arrived literally the next day and we're quick and professional. I have tried to get a screen replaced with Home Depot and it's taken literally 4 months and they did it wrong. I don't know what else you could possibly want in a window company but BM windows has it.

But Michal stepped in and corrected and worked to resolve the issue very quickly. He cares about the customer, reputation, and quality. The install crew was excellent, showed up on time, completed on time and had everything cleaned up.
