Talk about good bubble tea! JY Tea is an unassuming little store in a strip mall, I passed by while at the tjmaxx nearby and decided to stop in. (What a great decision!) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the store is so cute and clean, and they have a giant boba statue that really catches the eye.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employees were very sweet and gave some great recommendations when asked! I got a vanilla bubble tea (I give a 8.5/10) and my friend got a Vietnamese iced coffee, which she says is the best coffee she's had in a very long time. Too bad we live a hour away! This is one of my sister's favorite bubble tea places. We decided to come here after going to tj maxx. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's such a cute and pretty place! The decor looked fun and customer service was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The girl behind the register was patient with us when we asked questions. They were out of some of their holiday specials like the Okinawan milk tea and mocha peppermint drinks :( but it's okay! We tried some other flavors! They also had some baked goodies like brownies and the soft, spongy cheesecakes. I got the honeydew milk tea and it was good, a bit too sweet for my liking but it's my fault. Should have asked for less sweetness. The milk tea was a little chalky and I saw some sediment at the bottom. It wasn't mixed thoroughly it looks like. The taste reminded me of the melona ice cream bars or the melon milk drink! The tapioca balls were perfect! Flavorful, bouncy, and chewy! It usually comes with apple jelly but I opt for just tapioca. For what it's worth, the boba tea wasn't terrible, but not very good and very sweet. Mom couldn't finish it because it was so sweet. Whenever a place calls the drink "boba tea" instead of "milk tea" it usually means it's pre-made. In this instance, you could not adjust the sugar level without just adding plain black tea to the drink. So if you wanted 0% sugar, there would be no milk in it. Not having adjustable sugar is a must for 4+ stars. Staff was a little entitled when asked about the sugar as well. Minor complaint they didn't have crystal boba. Coming from North Metro ATL and being a bubble tea junkie, we had to try this place while in town. I am super happy to see more Asian bubble tea spots open up in the Pensacola area as a few years ago it was only Quickly's. This place is located in a huge shopping center with plenty of parking. Employees were super friendly here. I ordered the Peach Strawberry Fruit Tea and Signature Tea. Both was super tasty. The prices here are very reasonable as well. I have visited JYTea twice now. I've had the mango blast and the strawberry yakult (yogurt) drink. Both were very delicious, but the mango blast is the best thing I've ever drank!! I mean this drink is delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Shop is very, very cute and well decorated with lots of comfortable seating, nice and cool inside, and the employees are very friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a punchcard rewards program. The newest boba shop in town! It is located in the Joann's and TJMaxx plaza on Davis Highway. Cute boba place. It's our second time here, 2 days in a row! The milk teas (Signature, Taro, and Honey Roast) were delicious! We also tried the Mango Yakult, which my daughter picked herself. Taro and Mango Yakult were her drinks, and she said she liked the Mango Yakult the most. It's sweet and refreshing. Reminds me of the boba shops in Singapore like Koi/Koi Tea with their Yakult teas. For toppings, they have brown sugar boba, flavored jellies, and flavored popping boba. I hope they will eventually have other toppings like egg pudding, golden boba, crystal boba, etc. We will be back soon! read more

It's about time this area got an actual milk tea shop! BEST SHOP IN TOWN from a boba snob! The drinks are delicious, boba never misses, the shop is super cute and trendy making it a fun hang out spot and the service NEVER misses! I love the sweet staff, especially the young lady who's the manager. She's an absolute hoot and a pleasure to have conversations with! My husband and I have tried a few drinks from the menu already and I plan to make my way through the whole menu. Nothing I've tried so far has let me down, so this is a 10/10 for me! read more
