I've been meaning to try this place since it opened and decided to check it out for my birthday dinner this year. Four of us went and we all enjoyed it. Our waitress was incredible, very knowledgeable and patient with my families questions about the menu. She made the experience that much better! Food wise we had: -seaweed salad (standard but yummy, 7/10) -spicy cucumber salad (a table favorite, 9/10) -potstickers (another favorite, my niece is ready to return for these alone! 10/10) -chicken clay pot with rice (really good, but I wish there was some veg in there or something? Kind of one note, but still tasty. 7/10) -short rib clay pot (I didn't try this but my sister enjoyed it, 7/10) -Panang curry (a go to favorite, my niece is very happy to have another place in town to get it! She gave it a 10/10, I give it an 8. It was a little fishy for me and I prefer more liquid.) -eggplant in garlic sauce (this was a mixed reaction. My mom ordered it upon the waitresses advice that it wasn't too spicy but it actually ended up being too spicy for her to eat. I enjoyed it a lot though the texture of the eggplant was perfect and the flavors were very well balanced although it was the spiciest thing we had.8/10) -creme brulee milk tea with tapioca (I love boba but this was kind of boring.6/10) -cotton candy milk tea with rainbow jelly (14/10, the best I've ever had I think. We will come back for this again and again.!) Overall it was a really great experience and the pricing was quite reasonable, we got all that plus a couple sodas for $108 before the tip. First time trying this restaurant. There was 4 of us for a late lunch early dinner. The restaurant was not that busy. It was decorated like a Chinese restaurant would be. Nothing too fancy though. The prices were a bit high. I ordered a curry dish. I was not too thrilled about the taste. Everyone ended up taking the majority of their food to go. I ended up paying for the 4 of us,and it was over $100.00. no way was this considered a top class place , more casual. One dish was a seafood one and it had imitation seafood in it. For the price it should have had some real scallops or lobster. It was fake, and a couple of pieces you had no clue what it was supposed to be. Xian Noodle Place was really good! The server was super nice and kept checking on customers every few minutes to make sure everyone was okay. The food was delicious! The curry she recommended was bomb, flavorful and definitely spicy if you love spicy food. The teriyaki chicken noodle, pork/beef vermicelli was really good too, seasoned just right. As far as services concerned she took way too long we were there for over 15 minutes before we even got her to come over for a drink order. Food well to me it was bland but to my husband he really liked the choung qing hot & spicy chicken. But I will say their crab rangoon off the chart. I will be back though because it's only fair to give them another chance they were out of a lot of stuff but they just open business so. One of the most authentic Chinese cuisine in Pensacola. The dining room is clean, and judging by the windows it use to be a Pizza Hut. Service is quick. Food wise, it is very good. I love their roast duck. It is as close to authentic Chinese food where it is not Americanized. There are known for their specialty meats (like their roast duck or chicken) and their noodles. In fact, I came here because I found out they started serving Beef Chow Fun. Chow Fun is a hand made noodle that is steamed then cut into thick strips. The noodles are thick, translucent, and chewy. The noodles are very delicate to handle and need a real wok with high heat to handle it without breaking. Same with the HarGow (shrimp dumpling) uses a tapioca based dough so it is translucent and chewy. This type of wrapper needs to be handmade on the spot. You cannot buy the wrapper because it does not hold/store. Once the dumpling is made, it can be stored in the freezer. Shumai, on the other hand, is not homemade. These are store bought. I have tasted the same shumai bought at Bien Dong or any Asian grocery store. The filling is mostly some kind of filler flavored with shrimp. A real shumai has real shrimp and real ground pork. Shout out to Savanah, our server, for adding the finesse to our lunch visit on Wednesday. Savannah is knowledgeable about the menu and her helpful recommendations led us in the right direction. Dad and I shared an order of steamed dumplings and a sizzling hot pot. The dumplings were delicious but the star of the show was the hot pot. Been to this place so many times and can't believe I've never wrote a review. The staff always greats you at the door and seats you promptly. The menu is simple meat combo plates with noodles or rice. They do have some curries which I have not tried. The duck here is AMAZING. Always cooked well (ask for the roast because it has the crunchy skin) Tried for the first time the pork knuckle and and grilled pork chop and we were blown away how good everything was. They do have a fun selection of teas (with or without the boba) Some popular flavors do run out often. It's always nice and clean inside with k-drama level music playing in the background which always puts me in a good mood. This is a must go to. read more

The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The restaurant was clean and busy, yet the team stayed on top of things and checked in regularly. I ordered the roast duck, chicken fried rice, xiao long bao, and takoyaki. The portions were standard and the flavors were good overall. My only complaint was the Thai tea! it was very watery. I asked for a replacement, which was slightly better, but still not worth the price. The server mentioned they recently changed the tea powder, and unfortunately the flavor came across as bland and low quality. My server was very nice and attentive. The food came out quickly but....was all cold when it came out. Very disappointing and small portions, did not feel fresh or authentic. The crème brûlée milk tea with boba looked redeeming, but the milk tea literally tasted like water with a splash of tea and milk. The tapioca was good though. Desiring dim sum we saw that xiao long bao was on the menu and thought we'll see if we can make this place work. These aren't your typical soup dumplings, but they're still good. We also ordered steamed pork dumplings, baby bok choy, shrimp dumplings, and Beijing style pot stickers. Everything was good. Not great on the outside or the inside. Had the rundown kinda vibe, but some people love that look for a Chinese restaurant. We came with a big party and it was not very crowded. Server was polite and attentive. The food came out fast...maybe a little too fast. My dish was not very good. Both meats noodles and broth were excellent.. but what we have noticed is; 1: Price is going up and yes I realize food prices have increased. 2. In the past, we would have gotten some fresh veggies to put on top, such as bean sprouts, cilantro and bok choi. Today, we received about 2 or 3 very tiny pieces of bok choi with our noodle bowls. Just left here with my family and wow I was so impressed. We've been trying to find a good Chinese restaurant here in P'cola and we finally found one! The food was tasty, came out in a timely manner and our service was great. The staff was friendly and super attentive. We got every order of dimsum we could find in the apps section and loved them all!! The shrimp stir fry noodles were delicious and the noodles are made in house (what restaurant can say that these days?!). The boba was also a hit. We ordered three different flavors, Thai tea, Passion Fruit and Brown sugar boba. Overall great experience with the service and food!!! Craving noodles & real boba ? Look no further! Minutes away from our home, this spot has turned into mine and my husband's go to for noodles based on a few reasons. Their staff was polite and attentive during our visit and our waiter was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything additional during our meal or if we had questions; we appreciated this so much ! The food menu was straight forward and many of their items sounded good. We ended up ordering Soup style dumplings (called bao) on their menu, two bowls of noodles (pork & roasted duck) and seaweed salad. Now everything we ordered was good (4/5-taste and flavor) with the expectation of their seaweed salad. It is not anything like what you order at a sushi restaurant so be aware. Dumplings were delicious and came with an almost Bbq-y sauce. I prefer siracha & soy sauce typically but to each their own. The broth for the noodles was tasty but I feel it could definitely be "umphed" a little more. My one big note was on my roasted duck. The meat was still a bit tough/chewy & made it hard to get off the bone but nothing that made me dislike the dish. They have a bar and serve many different drink options but their boba teas (passion fruit and peach) were very good! I've eaten here twice and tried several dishes on the menu. I am *VERY* thankful to have another option to the standard Chinese fare found in Pensacola, and I have a lot of hope that the friendly folks here will work out the kinks. Let's start with the good: ++ Homemade noodles ++ Some less-Americanized options ++ A wide assortment of milk and boba teas, which are very good according to my kids ++ Some very interesting and delightful appetizers Areas that need work: -- The platters are just meat, no vegetable or rice option. I think this is just a kink and they will probably revise the menu so it can be configured into a meal somehow, without breaking the budget. -- Prices are high for the portions, especially considering 75% of some chicken items are skin, gristle or bone. So there is actually very little to eat. -- Some items are just not executed well. For example, the salt crystal chicken is pale, rubbery, and tasteless. This should be a crispy and flavorful skin. -- Some menu options are very hard to imagine, they need more pictures or descriptions to help the diner make good choices. -- The noodle bowls are basically soup, which resembles Pho without all the tasty accompaniments, and very little vegetable. Recommendations: !! Try the pumpkin pancakes! They have a wonderful taste and texture. !! Spicy seaweed salad! Best seaweed salad I've had in town, and tastes and looks like no other. I'm glad to see Xian's Noodle Place in this space and wish them all the best as they refine the menu and focus on execution. Flavorful but noodles were a little overcooked and soft. Xiao long bao was OK. But for the price I cannot recommend it. Very small pieces and not a good value. Had to wait 30 minutes inside the restaurant after ordering. So whatever time they give you, I would double it. And don't expect an apology or anything for your time to be wasted as well. I fully expect this restaurant to fizzle out and fail like so many other Asian restaurants in Pensacola. Disappointed. Outstanding service with a clean, upscale dining area that has TVs. Looks a little worn down from the road but don't be fooled, their bao, bubble tea, and dumplings blew me away. I reviewed this restaurant a few months back but loved it so much that I couldn't wait to return! As before - it's beautifully decorated! We arrived to eat about 5:00 pm and this was a good time because people were just starting to pull up after us! The staff is very helpful and very honest. This time both entrees were similar where the meat was concerned. We both ordered Honey BBQ Pork but one came with noodles and one came with rice. My selection was the rice & it came with a separate sauce that was both sweet & spicy which was so very good that I asked for more. The Honey BBQ Pork with Noodles was also wonderful according to my guest! This restaurant is about 10-12 minutes from my house so they've definitely not seen the last of me! Food was very flavorful, I recommend yellow curry with chicken. The chicken was tender and delicious. Portions were very generous. I ended up taking Togo. Servers were very welcoming and friendly. First thing I noticed was the calm and relaxed atmosphere, restaurant was very quiet despite there being quite a few booths occupied. Only thing I say could improve is the boba. I prefer my tapioca a bit chewy but soft. The boba itself was a bit disappointing as it was almost gummy like. I like the food here. It's hard for me to find dim sum food around Florida. I am someone who loves to get dim sum when relatives are in town or meeting up with friends on the weekends. It does not give the same dim sum vibes as most places I been to in California, but it pretty decent for what I can find out here. I wish this could have been a full on restaurant that serves all of the dim sum dishes you usually get, but it's still good with the Chinese dishes they serve.
