We stumbled upon this place when passing by one afternoon and decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness, it was amazing! It's a small storefront with maybe half a dozen tables and some Asian inspired decor adorning the walls. We were greeted by the cashier/order taker right away, she then asked if she could answer any questions or help in any other way. We perused the menu and proceeded to order two bento boxes, one sushi roll, and one kids meal. The food was great! The tempura batter remains crisp thru the whole meal, I've ordered tempura on multiple occasions where it seemed to get limp and soggy pretty quickly. I was lucky enough to get to taste the short rib and sushi as well, which were both delicious. The kids meal was great, too; the portion size was awesome! I have been meaning to try this place for a while so I finally went in the other day and tried their vegan bowl and I adored it. The tofu was crispy and delicious, all the veggies were super fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly. I do wish there had been a little more sauce on it but that's a personal preference. All I have to say is, this is the best place!! My daughter and I have gone here a few times and the young lady at the front counter already knew us by name. She is the sweetest. We talked about loving the food so much she even brought the owner out so we could tell him how much we loved the food. I wish we would have taken more pictures. But I highly recommend!! I had the Salmon Rito which was good, it was served in such a small plate and it was such a messy food to eat, I struggled to keep my food on the plate, it didn't come with a wasabi so I requested for it. My boyfriend and I just relocated to Pensacola and this place is less than a mile from our apartment. I was pleasantly surprised to find they were still open since the pandemic going on, and placed an order for pick up. We ordered a several different bowls. The salmon and tuna poke bowls were delicious. The seafood was very fresh along with the vegetables and other toppings. The portions are quite large, my boyfriend and I struggled to finish two bowls. The poke bowls had either salmon or tuna placed over rice with seaweed salad, avocado, cucumbers, shredded carrot, masago, sesame seeds, crunchy seaweed, ginger and wasabi along with sauces. The only reason I am giving four stars and not five was because of the wait time. We ordered at 6 and were told 30-40 mins. We didn't get there until 6:40 and still had to wait an additional 10 mins at-least. Overall, the food was very good and I will be returning to get some more poke bowls and try some of the other items. read more

We came to their soft opening today and it did not disappoint!! Staff was super friendly, welcoming, quick, and cheerful! They specialize in Asian fusion cuisine and also bubble teas. Upon walking in, the store was very clean and I loved the atmosphere and bright lights. I especially loved the huge "I Heart Bento" logo that was on the wall. It was neat. Added bonus? They were playing K-pop music and I really love K-pop music! It was such a fun vibe. I liked that their menu was simple and minimal. They also have menu cards which I think is a cool idea. They have appetizers such as takoyaki, spam musubi, calamari and sushi rolls, ramen, tuna poke bowls, pho, and of course, bento boxes. It was hard not to order everything on the menu! I ordered the spam musubi, takoyaki, and tuna poke bowl with pom pom (pomegranate) fresh tea and honey tapioca balls. The takoyaki was amazing and authentic. I've tried many takoyaki and this one nails it. It even had seaweed and bonito flakes! My bf tried it too. He agreed it was pretty good and he knows good takoyaki since he's been to Japan. I wasn't expecting the spam musubi to be like a sushi roll though. The ones I tried before has the spam on top of the rice with a strip of seaweed wrapped around. Regardless, their spam musubi is super delicious. With the added furikake rice seasoning and sauce on top, it was really delightful and tasty. It tasted exactly like how spam musubi should taste like! Their bubble teas are really good. They carry milk teas, fresh teas, and smoothies. The tapioca balls were cooked perfectly and I loved the flavor of the tea. Slightly tangy with a hint of sweetness. I also ordered the taro milk tea and the green tea milk tea with green tea jelly to go for my bf and his sister. They drank it all and commented on how the flavors were very good. My friends had the mango and lychee milk teas and they enjoyed it as well. Their tuna poke bowl was really colorful, flavorful, and fresh. All the flavors went well together. Their fresh tuna had no fishy aftertaste which indicates super fresh fish. There was avocado, fish roe, carrots, seaweed, tuna, and rice in the bowl with I think hot sauce or something? I liked that it was light and I did not feel heavy or bloated afterwards. It was overall, a pleasant meal. I finished the whole bowl! My friend had the "I Heart Bowl" which was the pho and he said it tasted like home. He loved it! We all left happy and we can't wait to be back to try other things off the menu. Review Time: I Heart Bento A while back, I saw someone post about how this tiny restaurant offers ramen. I figured they just did bento boxes and poke bowls. But as you can see from the menu, they do much more than this. I truly hope this ramen will knock my socks off, because it is right up the road from my house. This is a very small restaurant on 9 mile road, which is right next to Maynard's doughnuts and Sammy Barker's. The service here is super friendly and we didn't have to wait long to get our order. For drinks, we decide to try this delicious strawberry lemonade. I also decided to try a Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was not what I was expecting, which is usually a very strong potent slightly sweet coffee. The coffee was lacking in punch, but overall it wasn't bad. For appetizer, we tried the jiaozi, which was absolutely delicious deep fried crispy flavorful pork dumplings. I was a little disappointed in the fresh cabbage garnish. I was looking forward to eating it with my dumpling, but a majority of it was brown. For ramen, we decided to try the miso and the tonkotsu ramen. I'm really sad, because I was truly hoping this ramen was going to be amazing. Unfortunately, both of the broths highly lacked in depth of flavor. I wish the broth would have been better, because the noodles were exceptional. I was also searching for some extra goodies, such as bok choy or enoki mushrooms. There were some carrots, chopped onions, and corn. The fried tofu in the miso ramen must have super firm, because it was extremely hard. Overall Review: excellent fast and friendly service (5/5) and food (lack flavor coffee and ramen, but excellent jiaozi, strawberry lemonade, and noodles) (2.5/5) I wish this meal would have been flavorful; but I'm assuming their bento boxes and their poke bowls must be their star attraction, which I may have to try one day. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE: I ordered through the waitr app and I got a call from the restaurant saying they accidentally forgot to give my waitr driver my Boba drink and I was really bummed BUT they offered to drive the drink down to my location due to the mistake which is customer service at its finest! TARO MILK TEA: average taro powder base milk tea but the honey Boba was very good and had the right amount of chew and sweetness, they don't skimp on toppings either! SHRIMP TEMPURA: not you're average Japanese shrimp tempura, I believe they use a wet batter only approach (compared to wet batter + panko) which is different but nevertheless crispy and delicious. SHORT RIBS: fatty and tender with a very interesting sauce, I'm used to Korean style short ribs so I was surprised by the taste as it was more savory but it was good as well! TONKATSU RAMEN: this where I was left somewhat searching for more. The ramen pork was super tender with the right amount of fat but overall soup base flavor profile was a little weak (at least for my own taste buds). The biggest issue I had was because I had ordered delivery, the ramen soup base and noodles were in the same container and the noodles had soaked up a lot of the broth and the starch in the noodles made the broth more thick. The noodles didn't have that nice al dente bite to them as well due to soaking up too much broth. I'd reccomend the restaurant to package the noodles in a small container SEPARATELY from the soup broth so the customer can combine the noodles/broth when they are ready to eat. TL;DR I Heart Bento has a good variety of Asian dishes at an amazing price point with GREAT customer service. Please separate noodles/broth for delivery! read more

Decided to finally paid them a visit after stellar reviews and delicious looking lunch offerings. This spot was quite busy with dine in orders and take outs when I visited which is always a good sign. The tables were promptly cleared and cleaned when guests were done with their meals, and the staff seems very attentive and helpful. My sushi burrito was on point. Tasted fresh, good textures, and just enough fish and everything else that I was satisfied. The Korean short ribs bento box took some time to get to me but with all of their orders I didn't mind it as much. It was excellent and for the price and quality it's hard to beat since most other places charge like $4-5 more for that dish. Overall, I'd highly recommend anyone in the area to check them out. We've been here a few times. The G-Dragon roll is our favorite, along with the potstickers. The sushi is huge, I think a little too big to enjoy in one bite but overall great taste. We've also had the Korean Bowl which was average. Wait times sometimes are obnoxious, I've noticed at times they only have two people working so it's not ideal to go during lunch if you're limited on time.
