For 1 lb, you get about 6 - 7 ribs. I have to say that the ribs were a tad dry and tough even though they looked pink inside. It has a pretty decent flavor without the sauce but too dry to eat on its own. The other meats on the Sampler were dry, too. Really can't tell between the Pork and the Beef. The waitress was friendly until she wasn't. She didn't like being questioned about the charge of 75 cents for a 16 oz cup of water. She figured it was likely a charge for the cups and that the water was from the Soda Fountain. We felt that it was an outrageous charge even if the amount is negligible. It would have been more pleasant if we were told about the water charge during the ordering. It leaves a bad taste. I cannot understand the busyness of this place. There are other much better BBQ restaurants.

I ordered a half slab of baby back ribs platter, which came with cornbread and a choice of three sides. Nothing was what I would call Hot. The collard greens weren't bad, the cornbread was of the lighter variety and could've had more corn flavor, but it was also not bad. The mac & cheese was the warmest thing served to me, and it wasn't bad either, but it was dry and texture, not melting and gooey. The beans were in a thin sort of spicy and not particularly sweet syrup and we're just a touch over room temperature. Which brings us to the ribs. I ate three of them, because I was trying each of the four sauces on the table to try to bring some moisture to the party. That was the basic problem. These were the driest baby back ribs I have ever had. I just looked down at my plate halfway through and realized there was no point to continuing to eat these. They weren't worth the effort or the calories. I went to the counter and paid my bill. The hostess said why didn't you say something to your waitress? That was a fair question, I suppose, but the waitress never appeared in the dining room after bringing me the plate and I'm not quite sure what the restaurant was gonna do to infuse moisture into dried out ribs.
