When I scheduled my appointment, I explicitly asked for a medication assessment, as suggested by my therapist due to escalating anxiety and depression symptoms. At no point prior to my appointment was I informed that they do not provide that service and the Dr seemed confused about it when I went for my appointment. Long story short, the Dr was completely insensitive to my struggles with anxiety/depression. She suggested I try drawing or hiking because hiking makes her happy, she also said that therapy should be working. Pros - I like that they are able to communicate via text, it's really convenient. Wait time was minimal when I went for my last appointment. Dr suggested a magnesium supplement Calm to help with anxiety. I purchased it and will give it a try. She suggested a referral to a psychiatrist, which would have been helpful know prior to that appointment. I'm sure she's great with some clients, the experience was just horrific for me personally so I will be seeking a new doctor.

They will accept my husband's insurance for him, but not for me. Every time I show them the paperwork from the insurance, they say that it's wrong and I can't get an appointment or the appointment isn't covered. (They say that Affinity Group and Dr. Tsao are not covered by my insurance - see attached card.) My husband - who has the SAME insurance - has no issues. They've said I can only make appointments using the app, not the website, just lots of random issues have come up over the years. I've been polite and patient through all of this, but it's just too hard and makes no sense. Anyhow, Dr. Tsao is great overall, but I am concerned that she doesn't understand that plants have protein and am looking for a doctor that is a bit more holistic.

My primary care physician could no longer lower my A1C below 8.1 no matter what medications we tried. I was tired all the time and started having worrisome vision problems so that was totally unacceptable to me. Nothing seemed to work and it wasn't until I started working with Dr. Farrokhi that I started noticing changes in my health. Through my own research I discovered Type 2 diabetes is best managed with an endocrinologist. Diabetes is not something to procrastinate on if you value your health. It started when several prescriptions that were important, were NOT filled, and the front desk refused to take accountability, forcing me to book a new appointment and miss some extremely important medications. When I came in, Dr. Rosenthal profusely apologized for the incompetence of his front staff, and told me that he knows they can be "disorderly" and told me to call his personal cell phone in the future. On the way out, I asked to pay, and I was told that I would be billed "later." Some time later, I received a "final notice" for a bill for $30. When I called in to ask what the hell was going on, the front office told me that they had made the decision to "terminate me as a client" for non-payment. She was also extraordinarily rude and combative. I view this as not only unethical, but illegal. I will be filing a formal complaint to the Medical Board of California.

Dr. Rosenthal sets the standard for a medical professional. He not only knows his medicine, but has a bedside manner unmatched by any we've come across. He cared for my mom for many years before her passing. Everytime she was in the hospital, he ALWAYS showed up to check up on her. When she had difficulty traveling to the office, he made made house calls. He is very calming and a great listener. I wish other doctors and hospitals tried to be just a little bit like him. Professional. Punctual. Compassionate.
