I don't think I can say enough kind words about this place! I have a temperamental/aggressive 13-year-old dog. After bringing her to the vet for nail trims for the last 11 years, they said that they would not cut her nails again unless she was sedated. It took many months to find a place that would at least try to cut her nails. K-9 couture said sure we can try! When I tell you, they did an amazing job, they did an amazing job!!! I had been recommended to try here from a couple people, and I am so happy I did! it was also much cheaper than what the vet charged us (only $10) and they were some kind!! Unfortunately, we had an awful experience at this place with our dog. - I was able to put up with the fact that the owner of this place did not show any care or sympathy towards my dogs poor results, however, what I was not able to deal with was how much pain and suffering my dog had to endure for more than 10 days after her haircut here. Had my pup groomed here, full service + teeth for $45. Good deal compared to others in the area. My dog didn't need too much, more of an evening out. This was her first grooming experience. I adopted her only a few months prior and she tends to be scared of all new things, but left happy. She smelled good too! They gave her a cute little bandana too. Would have preferred a bow but that's okay. FYI all the stuff they sell in their store is overpriced, exact same stuff is on chewy for about 50% less (I know because I feed my dog a lot of the products they sell but order them online.). read more

I am SO impressed with everyone at K-9 Couture! We live in New York City but are often here visiting family. When we brought our two dogs in, I was shocked at how easily they were able to work with my pups. (One of my dogs can be aggressive, and I've had other groomers who have been unable to do anything with him.) They made both our pups look great! Not only that, but they were FAST. Both dogs were done in less than an hour. Everyone in the shop is so wonderfully friendly, and their prices are amazing ($45 per dog). Needed a little rescue chi clipped. Nothing fancy. No plume on the tail, no lion mane, no mohawk. Fifty bucks is ridiculous for the 5 minutes it takes to clean up a 6-pound dog (this is a $20 tab in the city). Cramped little facility, and the rude chick behind the counter refuses to let folks schedule their dogs for an "owner attended" procedure. Doesn't matter if the dog is calm and relaxed with the owner there, I think she just doesn't want folks seeing that what they're paying for took her no time at all. The little guy I took in came back with his right side longer and more irregular than his left (which tells me she just picked him up and "did him" over a wastebasket). Don't get me wrong, the left side was plenty patchy.... this place is a must-miss. There are better groomers out there, trust me. read more

My wife and I just moved to the neighborhood less than a year ago. We have a 4 pound toy Pomeranian and a 75 pound German Shepherd. We were simply looking for a new dog grooming location. Our German Shepherd simply needed his nails trimmed. We located this company and they told me that we can only bring our dog in to have his nails trimmed on appointment only and only on Fridays and Saturdays. They also said that they only do it for curbside. We were fine with that. We gave them all of our information and we booked an appointment 2 weeks out. We showed up this last Saturday at the scheduled time and the business was completely closed with a sign on the door regarding someone having contact with someone with COVID-19. I understand the COVID-19 but why didn't someone pick up the phone and contact us to cancel the appointment? I called and left a message and a return call came about an hour later telling us that they did not have our information. We told them we were very disappointed and they simply didn't seem to care. Sorry but we will not be going to this business in the near future. read more

I am just sicken on the complete cut job they did to my dogs, they have razor burns and cuts around there ears there fur is completely uneven. My dogs were matted but I have never had an issue with getting them properly groomed from other groomers. The team at K-9 rushed cutting my Pom's and they have been shaking since I picked them up after there trip to K-9 3 days ago. I would never recommend this groomer to another person. read more
