There was a new person at the desk. When I asked for my shirts to be laundered (as they always were), he pointed to one and said that it had to be dry cleaned. He then tells me that it would be Monday before I can get them back. He then hands me a ticket for 3x the price I normally pay while mumbling something about the price being too cheap. Seems like this place is having issues (perhaps financial) and this person was there to overcharge loyal customers to make up for the gap. To be clear, here are my issues: 1. An attempt was made to overcharge me. 2. I was asked to pay upfront for the over charge, which indicates distrust And potential racism. 3. This individual did not care that I was a regular and that I was able to quote the prices that I normally pay. We really have to stop letting business come into neighborhoods and taking advantage of residents. I will never be back and caution everyone else to triple check your bill. Tried to post this before, not sure it went through…read more The men who run this business are very nice and accommodating but unfortunately I had some experiences I wanted to bring up to potential future customers so they avoid the problems I had. There are some hidden charges they may or may not charge you. I was made aware of an extra "bleach" charge and was asked if I wanted that charge. It was only a few dollars. However, there is a "spot-check" charge that you apparently need to tell them (without knowing they will charge it to you) that you don't want (unless you do). It adds like $8 to the total. When I called to inquire about it I was told that information was on the website. Several visits to all the boilerplate/terms and conditions areas of the website yielded no such information, at least that I was able to find. In addition, the claim on the website of "next day service" is only true if you get them the laundry by 2 pm. Once again, I naively assumed that as long as the laundry was picked up by the end of business hours on one business day that it would be done the next day. If you have them pick up anytime after 2 pm it is actually a 48 hour turnaround. I was told this information was on the website as well but several searches yielded nothing. Lastly, and I know this is a danger of anytime you trust someone else to do your laundry, but the one item that was irreplaceable (a cotton lamp cover that had never been washed before) was destroyed-shredded. I know it wasn't the fabric as the other lamp cover came out fine, only the one was destroyed. When I called to complain they noted the best they could do was give me a $5 credit towards a future order. As this item is one of a kind, I will have to actually buy a new lamp to get this replaced, which will be significantly more than $5. As I said, I know accidents happened but given the nature of this situation I had hoped for a more mutually agreeable solution. As I said, they are very nice. Additionally, all my other clothes seemed to be okay. Just wanted to put this information out there.

After so much time has passed, LOAD is still claiming they are correct in BLAMING ME for delivering my laundry to the WRONG DOOR which resulted it in being stolen. Not only is it NOT LEGALLY my building's fault ( Or mine) since my agreement was with LOAD (not my building) to ensure my laundry was delivered to MY DOOR, not a door NEAR MINE OR A DOOR THAT LOOKED LIKE MINE. Customers DO NOT have to take my review to be true. My original review is still up and has screen shots of how they asked me change my review if they compensated me for THIER ERROR. All future prospective customers have to do is look at 99% of all of their other reviews to see how awful they are. Also, I never got a full refund for the cost of my belongings, I received a portion of what my belongings were valued at. Bottom line: If you value your clothes, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. Buyer beware, this place is unethical and will continue to bother you for months. To make certain they stop, I will contact the Better Business Bureau and report them. That should finally and hopefully put this issue to rest. Also, I use RINSE now and they are prompt, arrive when promised and have not lost a single item once and offer free bags if you don't reach their weight level. Expecting a car of some sort to come pick it up, they sent a man in flip flops with no bag or container of any sorts. Just his bike. I turned him away and sent an email to cancel. Then they sent another man on a ebike with no no bag or container. I called this business to cancel and they confirmed without hesitating over the phone. Then someone started texting me, telling me that they use Doordash white glove service and kept pushing me to use them. I kept saying no and and requested the cancellation/refund they promised me. Now they charged me $70 for doing nothing. I will be making a similar review on the BBB. Please avoid this place. They just lie and they're very desperate for service.
